No ricotta for Howdy. The only cheeses I likes on my lasagna are mozzarella and parmesan.

Haha, I actually don't like Parmesan that much. I'm a fresh cheese kind of person. But we can all agree on mozzarella!

I'm not sure I have a favorite cheese. I do love muenster with grapes though!
I should get to bed. Don't wanna. It was one of those "up at 6am, runrunrun 'till 7:45pm" days. I suppose three hours of silence (even if I had to clean and do dishes) is better than none. >>; Time to get ready for bed, because, work. Bah.

Well, today's been interesting. This was quite literally the worst day for her to be with me. She's feeding off the tension and fighting...

We're home now. Basically our main worker ran off last night and someone is threatening suicide (the latter not family). Everything pretty much fell apart after a huge familial argument. Terra was bonkers, feeding off the tension. We all just called it good for the day and will try again tomorrow. :\

Yep. Drama city. I'm still monitoring the job app I put up this morning, hoping we can get a quick temp (or possible actual replacement).

It's long to explain. Basically our best worker had an explosive argument with his wife and left her without notice, which means he left work without notice. His wife works there too, and she's the one threatening suicide. It's a long, long story. x_x Point being, we don't have someone to fill his place, so I put an app up for someone to be hired immediately.
It's not that simple though because the fishermen are threatening to strike, which means we might actually shut the doors to the business anyway. So many things are up in the air.

Oh my god, that is crazy. This is one of the downfalls of businesses where everyone is kind of related or friends. :/
I do hope the fishermen don't strike, though, because that would be awful for you guys.

I think closing the business would be the best thing. My mother and aunt can't keep going like they are. It's nuts. So many state changes, more and more paperwork, and not to mention being in the red for years. :\

Get better jobs with paid time off, sick time, and benefits. My mother literally (in every sense of the word) works 24/7. If she's not in the office, she's tied down to the phones. They have no life, and there's no profit and hasn't been for years. Mom is also nearing retirement anyway. She'd get a job for a few more years and go from there.
Yesterday was a train wreck. I got a call after dinner from Mom in a panic, saying she was in over her head with the suicidal employee. I drove down (40 minutes each way), stayed seven hours, and on my way home at 1:00am, the power steering in my car gave out. Thankfully it gave out just outside the apartment. I don't know how I managed to get it parked, but I did. It's being towed today.
Just a really bad day. I'm at work this morning, got a ride with Mom. I'm so tired. Terra got up at 5:00am, so I got less than 4 hours of sleep. But, no one's dead. That's the most important piece.

Oh goodness. It sounds like things just kept getting better and better. *hugs* Yeah, I would definitely suggest she scrap the business. But it would be hard to give up on something like that and go work for someone else.
Power steering man, that sucks. My first truck had no power steering because it was five years older than I was...it was also a stick shift. Let me tell you though, my arms were good and strong! But I think it's easier in a car MADE to not have power steering, not one that had the power steering go out.
