Lindsey looked over at him then at the tunnel saying "So, why are you so sure they won't find us after they are done with the city?"

"We are one car, out of over 300,000 in the city. You think they care?"he asked.

Lindsey glared at him then said "We got out of the infected city...I'm pretty sure they will care if their trying to keep the situation contained and destroyed."

Joseph drove into the tunnel, leading out of the city. He then started counting down. When he reached one, you started hearing loud explosions : They were carpet bombing the city.

Lindsey looked at him then said "How did you know when they would start?"

"Because I was in the Military. "he said. "I was a Warrant officer, so I know all standard Protocol. If they can't cure it, they contain it. If they can't contain it, they bomb it. if they can't bomb it......they destroy it. "he said.

Lindsey rolled her eyes then said "We're not contained."

"They're bomb it now. What do you think is going to be after that. "he said, then drove out of the tunnel. You don't see any Military vehicles (obviously they believed that no-one would get to this point.). You do see choppers flying to the city.

Lindsey looked at him then said "They know a car got out... They will start a search."

"We will be long gone before they arrive. "he said, taking a turn, through the desolate street. It was eerily quiet.....there was nobody driving, and no noise, except for the gun-fire in the city.

Lindsey rolled her eyes then said "Well that might only work so much."

"They drove through a desolate street, stopping at the corner of a store. Joseph stepped out, and looked around. "Where is everybody?....."

Lindsey looked at him then said "Probably as far away from here as they could get."

"There should've been media black-outs about this. "he said. He then looked inside the store. It looked like whoever left, left in a big hurry. Joseph placed some money on the counter, and took a soda out of the fridge. "well, let's rest a bit, and catch our breath. "he said.

Lindsey looked at him then said "Yeah catch our breaths when we just tore through the barriers."

"We won't be able to run, if we're out of breath. "He said, taking a drink. He then gave the kids some food, and sat against the car, holding his head. "God, My head is killing me. "He said.

Lindsey looked at him saying "Yeah because we need to run when we're driving." She grabbed some food and leaned against the car as we'll saying "You should take a break, I can drive for a bit and you can sleep."

"No, I need to keep my focus. "He said, trying to shaking the headache off. You then see someone shuffling behind a car.

Lindsey saw the shuffling then said "Well we should get going then need to keep moving."

Joseph moved foward, holding up his rifle. Suddenly, however, Alessia popped up from beside the car. "Holy shit! Wait, Alessia?" he asked, not believing his eyes.

Alessia proped herself over the side of the car, with a grin on her face. "Well howdy, Boss. What brings you out to the- Holy shit, what happened to you?.....and your car...?"she asked, staring at the blood-stained hood. Obviously, news of the Infection hadn't made it past the city.

Linsdey watched the two, in all honesty she was slightly confused about what was going on.
