Leaning slightly on Kyle's upright sleeping form, Kimmi ran her skinny fingers through her hair and checked on her super-sharp freshly painted green nails with Slytherin animation nail decor on the ring finger nails. She pouted as she watched the first-year Lexi sit down at the Ravenclaw table. Kimmi complained, "They never have the attitude to be a Slytherin. Too many good people these days." Then she thought, Curious. That's the longest time I've ever seen anyone being sorted. She thought back to when she got put into Slytherin. Before the hat was even placed on her head, it had said, Aha, another Yamaguchi-Gumi. Slytherin! She chuckled under her breath remembering the astonished faces of the Gryffindors who had never seen a sorting so fast. The good old days when Hogwarts wasn't the least bit boring,she thought. Man, she was doing an awful lot of thinking. Thinking wasn't her thing, it was up to the Ravenclaws to think. So she tilted her head a bit and continued watching the first-years be sorted.

Takayumi looked up at Kimmi as she greeted the new Slytherin girl. They had to have known each other. Why else would she bother greeting the girl instead of ignoring her like she did the others? She looked down at the girl's twin as she waved her hand in front of his face. Takayumi couldn't help but chuckle a little. The kid seemed to always be falling asleep or at least that she had seen.

She remembered back to when she was a first year. She sat upon the chair with the sorting hat atop her head. It sat there for a while, pondering on which house to put her in. She had hoped Gryffindor, but it had decided she was a Slytherin like her brother who was still in school at that time.

Professor Martel stood up once again, but this time with his goblet in hand. Everyone had been sorted and were looking up at him. "Now that is done, let the feast begin," he bellowed before sitting back down in his seat. Plates, goblets, and platters filled every table. Upon the platters was chicken, buns, stuffing, and other delicious food.

Danny eagerly and enthusiastically applauded when Lexi was chosen for Ravenclaw, though he noticed the perplexed looks on the older members' faces when her Sorting took so long. When she began walking down the stairs, he waved her over to his seat, grinning like a madman. It was already looking to be a great year. When the food appeared, he dug in, ignoring his sense of confusion at their sudden appearance.

Prof. Fleming sat and enjoyed his meal while half-listening to the conversations of his colleagues. He was saddened by the lack of Slytherins, because, it often meant that they were undermatched against the other houses, especially during pranks. This thought was puctuated by a glare to Prof. Myers, head of Gryffindor, the Slytherins' rival house. He remembered a particularly nasty prank war last year, and could do without a repeat.

Nikke opened her eyes at the headmaster's mention of the feast. She perked up immediately as the delicious smelling food appeared in front of her eyes, as it always did. She piled her favorite foods onto her plate, years of experience letting her know what was the best. "Ana, how was you're summer?" she asked the other girl from her year. She carefully cut her food into bite size pieces before putting it into her mouth, manners her father taught her kicking in.

((Oh, okay then. I didn't remember reading that, but there are so many characters already created that it's kind of hard to keep track of all of them.:)))

Holly sat on the opposite end of Nikke, one of her friends from the House team. She listened as Ana answered, not really bothering to make herself part of the conversation. She found it amusing that the Slytherins were getting fewer people each year, but it really did serve them right. Ravenclaw had gotten a bunch of new students as well, and Hufflepuff got about the same as in previous years. Looking towards Nikke, she asked, "Did you hear anything about the new second years? How good are they expected to be for Quidditch?"

((Its okay, honestly I just went back to the profiles and tried to see if there was something...))

Nikke smiled over at Holly, she hadn't seen her earlier. She glanced up and down the table, looking out for different people. "I haven't heard much, we'll just have to wait and see. Let's just hope there's some brilliant people this year, last year's batch wasn't the best," she said, getting excited. Quidditch was one of her favorite things to talk about, let alone play. She was always one of the first ones to start badgering the captain about starting up practices. She usually felt there were never enough, she just liked playing.

"Yeah, they were a sorry bunch all right," Holly agreed, nodding as she stuck her fork in her turkey. "The only reason they were on the team was because we had no one else and everyone knew it too." What really made her mad was when they lost to Hufflepuff last year; Hayden hadn't stopped teasing her for weeks. And she had been the one to get the snitch too. Sighing, she noticed two of the new Ravenclaw students, Lexi and Danny, sitting together. She smiled as she committed their faces to memory, a habit she had fallen into to keep from forgetting people. Lexi was quite small, looking almost like a young child, with a youthful face that most girls would die to have. She went back to eating, not really paying attention to anymore conversations.

Kimmi speared a lettuce leaf on the silver platter and put it in her mouth, carefully chewing the leaf and trying not to mess up her re-applied pink lip gloss. "We are sooooo going to win the first Quidditch match against Gryffindor." She sipped some water from a goblet and continued talking. "I hope the second-years have been polishing their skills, because I do NOT want us to lose again." Then she took a cherry from a plate, ate the outside, tied the cherry stem into a knot in her mouth, and spit out the pit. "And I hope something interesting happens this year." She sucked on the tied cherry stem and took it out of her mouth, reaching for another piece of her salad. Kyle suddenly awoke. He always seemed to know when there was food around. He ate like a pig(not as much as Ron), but he never gained any weight. "Heey! The food's here!" Kyle took a chicken wing and bit into it. The Bloody Baron swooped down from the air while screaming and surprised the first-years and they ducked. However, the older Slytherins didn't even blink an eye because they knew that he would go through them. Kyle shouted at the Baron, "Hey! Baron! You need to get some new tricks, you try that one every year!" The baron just ignored his comment and continued scaring first-years.

Takayumi smiled when the food appeared. This was always her favorite part. She filled her plate up beyond the point of overspilling. She loved food. No matter how much she ate, she just couldn't gain a single ounce. Sometimes, she even lost weight which she hated more than anything. She didn't eat as fiercely as Kyle seemed to be. She looked toward Kimmi who had mentioned Quidditch. "We just need some good beaters and chasers other than yourself, and we should win. Maybe this year I won't get hit with a bludger when I'm searching for the snitch." She picked up a roll from beside her plate and took a bite out of it.

"Mmhm," Kimmi said, swallowing a piece of tuna. "But I'm really sleepy right now, discuss in the morning?" Kimmi swigged down a water like it was vodka and grabbed Kyle to go to the Slytherin dorms before all the first-years could. They entered the Slytherin commons room, and waited for the picture to ask them the question so they could go in. "What are the three most important things to being a Slytherin?" The painting asked. Kimmi rolled her eyes. They got this question at least once every month, so most Slytherins already knew it by heart. "Being a pureblood, money, and status." The door opened, and they stepped into the luxurious room, filled with green and gold. "See ya tomorrow!" They went their separate ways and Kimmi stripped down to her underwear. No time for taking a shower, she just wanted to go to sleep. Her back had a Yakuza tattoo; it was customary for Yakuza members to have tattoos on their back, and occasionally, on their arms too. Her tattoo was identical to Kyle's, two green snakes wrapped around each other, with intricate designs surrounding it. She quickly changed into her pajamas and scooted into her bed, listening to her iPhone's music to help her go to sleep. She quickly glanced at the clock before falling into a deep sleep. It was only 8:30.

Nikke nodded in agreement. Their loss to Hufflepuff was indeed embarrassing, but they had more than made up for it in training for the next match against Ravenclaw. They had killed them. What the team needed was a complete re-tryout. Have every position open to anyone. Most of the older students would remake the team, like Nikke and Holly, but it would open it up to new blood as well. She thought about this as she ate, as was usual for her. Most of her meals consisted of thinking about Quidditch. Finishing her meal she looked around for a prefect to find out the password to get into the Gryffindor Tower. She wasn't made one the previous year, which came to no surprise, she got into too many fights and trouble. "Where's a prefect when you need one? They always seem to be around when I don't want them to be, but now you couldn't find one if you tried," she muttered to herself, looking around the table.

((In all honesty, not much has happened. We're still in the Dining Hall, except for Quarter Queen, who left early, having regular conversations about Quidditch mostly. Hope it helped.:)))

Takayumi sighed, "Yeah. We'll be having tryouts next week, so we have plenty of time to talk about it." She filled up her plate with desserts before they all disappeared and everyone was dismissed to the dorms. For such a little person, she could really eat and more than most of the guys.

Jack Martel stood up and looked down at the remaining students. "Every is dismissed to the dorms. First years, the prefects will show you where they are and how to get in. Classes will start first thing in the morning." He sat back down and waited for everyone to file out before heading to his office where Dumbledore's phoenix slept.

Takayumi stood up and walked toward the dungeons where the Slytherin common room and dorms were. She answered the question and walked to the girl's dorm. She quickly slipped into her pajamas and climbed into bed. It didn't take her long to fall asleep.

Lexi stood and followed one of the prefects, identified by a badge they wore on their robes. She hadn't eaten a whole lot, as usual, due to her having the stomach capacity of a child. She walked through the portrait that hung in front of the Ravenclaw dorms, said "Good night" to Danny and joined the other girls in her House. Their aww's at her child-like stature left her feeling sort of awkward as she changed into her pink, heart-covered pajamas. She hopped into bed and curled up under the blankets before falling asleep.

Holly stood and waved goodnight to Hayden as their Houses went to their separate dorms. She was one of the last ones into the Gryffindor common room, but she was one of the first to the girls' dorms. She crawled into her pajamas as she laid in bed before succumbing to the darkness of sleep.

Danny glanced at Lexi's plate. He knew he had given her too much when he loaded up her plate; most of it was still on the plate. He followed Lexi and the rest of the House into the Ravenclaw common room before responding to Lexi's "Good night" with "Sweet dreams" as he followed her example and went to the boys' dorms. He didn't bother bringing pajamas, instead he just stripped to his underwear and jumped into bed before falling asleep.

Hayden replied to Holly's wave with a smile and one of his own. He followed the Hufflepuff students to their dorm, even though he knew where to go. He strolled up to the boys' dormitory after conversing with other students in his class that he knew, and his fellow Quidditch teammates. He changed into pajamas before climbing into bed and passing out.

Ana finished talking without eating anything on her plate, even though there was nothing on it to begin with. Moving her blonde hair out of her face, she stood up and waited for everyone else to pass by. Once she did she grabbed her potions book she had and turned towards the teachers. She noticed they were sitting and chatting a bit more. Leaving the common room, she left to her dorm room. She didn't know whom she would have been paired up with but she didn't care as long as they weren't super mega annoying.

Nikke found a prefect and got the password to the Gryffindor Tower, arriving around the same time as the first-years, much to her disappointment. The new Gryffindors were always slow moving and seemed to take forever to crawl through the portrait hole. After finally getting into the common room, Nikke looked around the room, seeing if she saw someone she knew. She couldn't find anyone, so she decided to go up to her old dorm room, the one the one the girls in her year had always been in. She climbed the steps and entered the room. She collapsed on her bed, not bothering changing from her robes.
