I'm the same way. Not so much in threads (though I used to be) but in real life, I have to have my presence demanded to really feel welcomed.

I just like it when people pay attention to me because I feel like I didn't get paid attention to when I was younger :/ or even now

Eh, I was the only girl and am like my mother at times. They paid a lot of attention to my little cousin. But now I get the attention with my brother because I'm still in school and will graduate (like he did.) My little cousin has his own stuff to deal with.
I do have an awesome brother, he just called me to see what my boyfriend and I were doing tonight because my brother saw my facebook post about my summer feeling wasted and we talked for a couple minutes and he asked if we wanted to come over tonight to hang with him, his wife and their kids.
It would have been awesome since I am just so enthralled by my nephew and his little sister, but the boyfriend and I are busy tonight. But, we'll be seeing them tomorrow at my aunts :)
I also told my brother that I'm done in December for good and will be available for stuff like that and to also watch the kids if need be anytime after that. ^^

Eh my brother did get my attention then me. I guess everyone is different once you think about it.

My brother made sure I had attention of some sort. (despite the 8yr age difference, we are close)
I just always felt the family paid more attention to my brother and his stuff and my little cousin. Despite my rocking in school.
It took my little cousin flunking out of university after 1 semester for me to get some form of recognition. It also helped that I had gone through stuff with money and getting screwed over and yet still continuing on in college despite all of that crap and also making Dean's list a bunch of times.

My cousin went to college because his mother kind of pressured him to do it. He tried it for a semester, hated it, flunked out.

That would suck being pressured to go to school. I am so sick of going full time. are you full time or part time?

full time student. I'm done in December finally. ^^ I'm just sick of living on campus with a roommate I just meet when I get there.

Yeah, he didn't really want to go to university since it didn't have what he wanted. He's an EMT and he takes classes at the community college. But, he figured he would give university a shot. Didn't work out though. And now more stuff with him is kind of strange. My cousin is only 20 (21 in Dec) and still doesn't have his priorities set straight when it comes to his stuff and girlfriend. Doesn't help his girlfriend also is just 18.

Aw ok >.< I can understand not wanting to live on campus. I go to a community college so can't live on campus. I'm just sick of being pressured into college for my dads money.

Yeah. I hate living on campus. Especially when they put me with a princess of a brat. -.-

I'm glad the girl I'm with for the semester seems like she's down to earth and good.

I would be your college roommate lol. Don't feel bad one roommate sleeps all day and the other one works and is lazy half the time.

the girl I had last year would whine about being tired, she'd make so much noise she'd keep me up and wake me up early in the morning, she did work with food. But when it came to cleanliness, she sucked horribly, didn't wash after potty, didn't take care of meat properly, etc
She also expected me and had yelled at me to be nice to her and her stuff, but it was ok for her to treat me and my stuff like dirt.

We would I hope. wow kinda makes me glad I don't live in dorms. living with a girl like that would kill me
