Kiako: Pick-up!

Watery Star: I'm so glad you like it! I really liked drawing her. xD

Avi: I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one. xD Although it's a pretty low maintenance event... I need to remember to buy stuff later tonight. o 3o

Ceri: YOU, TOO? Let us be useless internet chums. \m/

Aww. It is hard to think of what gets done at home as work, sometimes. Even when I'm trying to make stuff to sell (and failing), I always go "I NEED A REAL JOB." /unemployed bum still.

And like you said, stories can change drastically in a short amount of time! That, and which site I hang out on seems to change, too. Plus, I don't have enough revenue on Gaia to do an auction and I'm too lazy to work in the art rings there to get it back up.

That's so cute. ; ^; A lot of couples have it rough at first, so it really is the thought that counts, nee. Did the person taking photos not get them all to you, or did someone else have the copies and forgot most of them? That sucks, regardless.

Geez! Let me know if I can help you at all, even if it is just useless note-a-doodles. Heart problems mess so much up, just remembering how it effected my dad after his surgeries. I'll hope things work out for you guys so you can move to a happy nest soon. ; 3;

It would be scary, you mean. xD

The macarons my friend sent me were really tasty! And completely different from macaroons, although people here pronounce them both the same for some inconceivable reason?

For a while after I got out of the hospital, I was trying to just get my body to get used to a normal routine, but it seems only recently I feel like I could handle regular exercise without flailing for my inhaler. >>;

I was horrified when I saw I was over a month late in replying to your message on here. :rofl: WE'RE GOOD ON THIS SITE BUSINESS, NE?

Avi: Yeah, I noticed that, too.

Usually the longer events are able to generate a bigger crowd. I'm not sure when this started, but I don't think I got an e-mail or anything either. That, and part of it might be people decided to not hang around for long when they saw it was a "You can just pay for everything" event like WN was. Although I personally kind of like the set-up (I escape mene-addiction again!), it probably isn't a good event trend. xD; *RAMBLE*

Ugh, watching a movie and I hate typing on Matt's laptop. The keys aren't raised so my nails always get stuck. ;o;~

Also, those freebies are adorable. D: If only I wasn't too lazy to have refs.

Sushisush: Aren't we already useless internet chums?! 8D

Yeah, pretty much. I feel especially bad though cause I'm unemployed for the health drama and always flail and go 'omg you're supporting our family I need a job or better art!!11'

You and me both~. I pop on Gaia every so often to hold mini auctions, but things are just so... Inflated and dramatastic and it's impossible to get noticed if you're not already well known. B'awww.

Yes~. Dinner was still amazing and romantic, so. <3 And well, we couldn't actually afford a photographer, so it was a lot of guests volunteering? I haven't even seen our wedding video yet... ._.;; I really want to re-experience our first dance/vows again.

Aww, thank you sweetheart. <333 I think I just need to bum it up around awesome people for a bit and hope that all this cools down a bit? XD;; I'm not hopeful but you never know~. I love my friends and I've missed everyone so much. D: <33 It's hard to make time any more.

No, definitely adorable. XD <3

Yeah, I read that on their wiki. XD I have no idea how to say it right. Must. Try. OH MAN, it reminds me. We have a new japanese restaurant here and we tried red bean icecream for the first time on New Years. Life-changing. ;o; <3

Poor Sushi~. Why the hospital? ;o; <\3

VERY. PROS EVEN.

And yeah, honestly, this event wasn't well promoted. I worry that Mene is dying, but I'm here too inconsistently to offer viable suggestions so I know it's not right to complain? XD

Avi: I don't either. I mean, if you're not wanting to spend a lot of time devoted to an event, this is ideal, but I do miss the more involved aspects of past events.

I went to go eat, but now I'm gonna head over and reply back~. ♥

Ceri: For you, just shoot me an e-mail if you want one later~. OR I WILL JUST DOODLE SOME IN YOUR LETTER. In-person paper macarons. B3

I-I guess we are, but we can be official chums now! Although given the context of us being sushi, that sounds like we're merely fresh shark bait. ; ;

Yeah, a med I have to take makes me cringe about not having a job. No insurance + no generaic for at least another year means it is so overpriced. I'd have to do so much art to even cover it. x_x;

Gaia just isn't worth it unless you vend, tbh. I like to do some small things here for events, but to actually have a shop on Gaia is something I'm never going to do again. Doing art for contests was more rewarding than a shop, anyways. >> But yeah, inflation is nuts, I don't even know what's normal price-wise anymore over there.

Aa, I gotcha. I hope you guys get more photos back eventually. ; _; And the video, too!

Being around/chatting with people with an upbeat (not sure if that's the right way to phrase it) attitude helps me a lot, tbh. Even if things aren't looking good, it makes it a bit more bearable.

Pfft, you have no idea of the horror, man.

Well, if it helps, say the last part like you would the name Ron? ... YOU HAD RED BEAN ICE CREAM? I am all colours of jealousy. I love red bean sweet stuff. It is probably why I am overfond of Japan in my food memories.

Asthma attack, and then a lot of testing to make sure nothing else was complicating it (and then having to watch my nurses/doctor get gradually angry that someone forgot to finish one of my tests |D). My nurses were particularly fond of me. :rofl:

TOTAL PROS.

I wouldn't doubt there's a bit of financial crunch with the economy, but yeah, I don't really come on here much accept to play games on occasion. . m.;;

TORI, OF COURSE YOU MAY HAVE A MACARON. Denzell should be delicious. :9

You love red bean??? This is my favorite Korean red bean popsicle. xD
I used to buy boxes of them back home to chomp on during the summers.

I had patbingsu for the first time last summer. It's got ice cream, red bean, fruits, and jellies on top of shaved ice. It was very interesting. xD

... O.K., now I'm insanely jealous of you. THAT SOUNDS SO DELICIOUS, OMG. And I laugh, because red bean sounds like an even weirder flavour in French. Why am I stuck in a place which does not know the beauty of red bean except in horrible main dishes. 8|

Sushi: Do I dare to live the dream?! *_*; I think I'll like... Stop being a lazy ass in the near future and put some refs up... Somewhere... D:

But I don't want to be shark bait! ;o; *wiggles out of bucket and safely back onto the deck of the imaginary boat*

If I were in a better financial state I'd commission your butt off to pay for your meds~. ;; <3 CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MUCH SUSHI ART. Or, you know, ALIVE SUSHI-BUTT!

Ohh, I totally agree with you. I vend when I get bored, but I always end up, excuse the term, 'pissing it all away' because I have such a bad RIG addiction. If Mene had RIGs I think it would lure me back. >O>; I was pondering how they were coded earlier. XD

Yes! ;o; I'll spam you with pictures then. >8D;;

Yeah, I agree completely. Sucky thing is, seems everyone I know always has it bad the same time I do, so it's hard to be around to cheer each other up. D: <3 I think Matt's the only reason I'm sane. XD

I wonder why you keep typoing adorable in such a funny way. O: ***adorable. Fixed it for you.

I thought it was like mack-a-ron. XD~ AND YES. We tried it on a whim when we also got green tea icecream (LOVE IT), and we were all '....wtf, this icecream has real beans in it. Oh well, may as well try--DEAR HELL THIS IS HEAVEN."

;o;! Jeeez. No dying of asthma. *mails an oxygen tank to you*

8D YES.

XD I pop on once in a very blue moon trying to find art. But then I remember I'm poor. Plus I'm so picky. ._.;;

Ceri: Pfft, dare to live it, dear, DARE.

... How did you do that. *uses leaf to try and get out and just falls onto an eel*

I actually need to finish a few cheap commissions and open up shop for real. I'm going to get some stuff ready and my cousin is going to list it on her Etsy to kind of teach me the ropes. >> Sushi-butt kinda sounds gross, though... . m.;

I gave up on playing RIGs, although I might buy one of the LCIIs, because I liked that one. xD I just like buying items too much to sell them, although it seems whenever I really need to unload items, I get back a tidy bundle. >> I always wondered if Mene was going to expand to a cash shop like other avatar sites have. D: I mean, they're a necessary evil, most times.

Yay! Picspams are always loved. :D

Aw. ; 3; THAT'S WHY YOU TWO ARE MARRIED. ♥♥♥ But yeah, bad nonsense seems to travel in plagues. I hate it.

You're not going to get me to say I am adorable. Friends have tried, and fallen to their doom. Twisty-pretzel doom.

That's pretty much how I pronounce it in my head, I think. xD GREEN TEA ICE CREAM IS TOTALLY YUMMY! I think it's why I latched onto one cafe's green tea frappe whenever we randomly visited, because it's a pale substitute. ;; YES. My favourite meal in Japan was simply a red-bean paste filled roll. Dear heaven.

Hahaha. It wasn't exactly my idea of a fun time. 8D; Although everyone gave me the impression I should have my own studio with tea+macarons served daily.

I'm kinda picky, I guess. Or more like I am not picky, but cheap? xD; I don't even know. I just have... a growing stash of gold on here from mad gallop. :rofl:

@CerCer: *laughs* Bar of ice of bean red...Man, I remember when I took French, I was like...really? O_o So many words to say all of that!

We have a large Korean grocery store near the military base back home that sells them. xD No Asian marts around your parts? D:

It's weird to see Cold Stone serving patbingsu. Back in Austin, I only got coffee ice cream from them as a treat. Er...was it called espresso something something?? *forgets*

I haven't been in any of the Asian marts here in a long, long time. Most of the time they're closed when I go by (or they're just... in really weird spots, I never remember where they're at).

Whoa, they serve that at Cold Stone's over there? O 3O ... Maybe if more people realized how delicious red beans are in sweets they'd do that over here. *idly hopes*

Sushi: I wiiiilll. But you need to have OC refs for me to scribble stuff. ]:

Magic mochigome powers. *solemn nod* Eww, unagi~.

Sushi-butt does sound gross, yes. >_>; And yeah, Matt and I have been putzing with the idea of using his etsy account for more than just buying stuff, I just haven't figured out how to approach it yet. I'm awful at traditional means and making prints would be more costly than lucrative.

xD I always buy RIGs meaning to turn a profit but end up keeping the items in the end. And yeah, I remember mentions of a cash shop here like, aaages ago, but that's about it? I don't keep up any more. >>

You can see our awesome height difference s'more and my four inch heels of doom. 8D;;

Don't plagues come from fleas? >O>: We'll just kill all the plague fleas!

Pretzel doom sounds serious. @___@; And bendy.

Mmm, lucky. <33 We don't have ANYTHING around here. It's a really small, hick town. White people as far as the eye can see. We've got some chinese restaurants cause we get a lot of Chinese tourists to our Casino. But the Japanese and Viet/Thai places are new. Haven't tried the latter because the staff have been really rude when we've talked to them and it's a turn off, even though I love Thai.

You have to go several towns over to get any food that isn't 'authentic Canadian'. orz

That studio sounds like a dream come true. D: <3 Can I come?

XDD;; I'm cheap too. Stingy. If something doesn't meet my imaginary requirements I can't justify the cost. But I have no funds either, so. >>;;

ToriKat: @__@ *revives, making grabby hands at your delicious food* <33

Kent: Pick-up!

Ceri: I will send you some of my OC doodles, so we can start letter trading. ;>

I know, right? :gonk: Unagi, get offa my ya'd. >:<

Have you thought of maybe doing drawings and stuff on those "Artist Trading Cards"? That's what I'm doing to test things, and some can sell for a nice bundle depending on what they are (drawing vs painting vs print vs etc.). I also need to sell some of my prints from printmaking, they're just collecting dust. --;

I used to have luck with the first RIG I played when I bought them off the MP, and then I tried to just sell the RIG, because I know the luck would run out faster than I could blink. |D I want to say that was an underlying reason they switched to the Mene currency on here, but I could be misremembering things. . m.

It is a plague of emotion!fleas. They are even worse than plague fleas! D8>

Doesn't it? |D Bendy doom-doom time.

We have places, I just don't have the money most of the time, or the memory, to go try them. The one Japanese place my friend took me too had insane portions. I think I might have finished half of it. But miso soup, I miss it. ;;

A-authentic Canadian sounds scary. xD So many things that could be...

Whenever I get into a posh life style, of course.

I need to stop being stingy or get funds up for a contest or something. I need to price things around here.

Tori: YOU SHOULD. 8D Maybe if I get steady freelance work, I can bum over to the West Coast and we can cause havoc at a con or something. |D

I think it's mainly because most people only know of using beans in savoury dishes (baked beans apparently do not count :rofl: ). I remember I accidentally discovered my love for them at a Chinese restaurant. I had no idea what it was, and when I found out it was red beans, I felt confused. I generally don't like beans, but sweet red beans? LOVE.

... Although I did discover I like Fava beans when I was in France. . m.;;;

I think we might be queens of the text walls. >_>;;;

Sushisush: Works for me~! I want to take another crack at... Pura was it? I'm probably spelling it wrong/misremembering. XD~

I'm honestly way too afraid to ever try unagi. xD;;

Yeah, actually. Matt and I have made a bunch of ATCs (though, when selling them, they're called ACEOS because there's more collecting than trading of cards. >P /smartass), but I never like anyone of the ones I make. I have such a hard time with my paints no matter how often I practice. vov It's discouraging.

XD I used to have luck and purposely push RIGs to their final stages, then sell them for quadruple what I spent, but then I got greedy. And yeah, I thought so too.

Eww. Sound itchier, too. D< Or bitchier?

xDDD

Ohhh yeah. At the 'Canadian' restaurants (you know, burgers, fries, sandwiches, etc) the portions are always a quarter of what I get at any of the asian places. I always bring home leftovers to eat for like, a week. z_z And miso soup. <3

Of course. 8D;

Tori: Yup! It was actually a lot of fun, but it was really expensive. And I didn't really even figure out how to properly make good prints until half-way through the class. First counselor person (who soon left, thank goodness) put me and a few other kids in an advanced printmaking course despite the fact we never had the 101 course. Our professor wasn't too pleased when she realized what happened. :rofl:

Yay, miso! ♥

OMG, you did? o: Is it a Korean con? TELL MEEEE. When is it? :O

They're these giant white beans. My cousin made them with a really yummy roast chicken, so they just tasted out of this world. x_x

Ceri: We might be, but my brain is starting to fail at text walling. Or something, I'm not sure. I think I'll do one more macaron and head off or something.

Pura? My tiny fire mage with red hair and ears? If so, I would not object. |D

I'd like to try it at some point, just to try it. I'm kinda weird that way. I mean, it can't be much weirder than octopus, can it? AND THAT IS SUPER TASTY STUFF.

Oh, that's right! I always forget the proper term for selling the cards. xD Well, if they're gathering dust, you might as well try to sell them, no? ; 3; LET THE POSTAL SYSTEM DECIDE THEIR FATES. But I hear you. I did a marker one recently and wondered why I bothered (EXCEPT I NEED TO PRACTICE MORE).

I would manage to somehow get expensive prizes and make around 800k on the first RIG from the item. xD;; But that was back in the day RIGs actually got below 100k. -_-

Possibly both? I imagine it leaves a mean rash.

Yikes. D: Too many leftovers makes me feel weird. I'm like "HOW CAN I EAT ALL THIS BEFORE IT GIVES ME HORRIBLE FOOD POISONING?!?" xD I need to find some recipes and make my own, man. I miss having it with breakfast.

That's the one! Those ears~. Also I drew... Uh... The file says Lahrun but I don't know if that's her name or just what I named the image? oO; Either way those commissions are awful and I can do better. D< <3

I keep hearing octopus is amazing but nowhere I've been seems to serve it. @@ Plus I'd probably chicken out because a lot of seafood makes me sick. *likes veggie sushi*

XDD I'm just going to keep practicing. Most of my ATCs were Matt and I's OCs or weird doodles I wouldn't feel comfortable selling? And texture practice. I like to scan the textures to use in digital backgrounds and stuff. <3

Yeah, I miss when they were achievable. I rarely have 100k. Isn't that sad? XDD

I bet. D:

Ceri: I might vamoose and do things and come back tomorrow at some time. Early, because we're going to meet up with family later in the day.

Yup! And Lahrun is her name~. :D PFFT. I have them saved for eternity. NO ESCAPE FROM PAST WORK FOR YOU. |D

I want to say I had it once before my trip to France, but I might be thinking of squid... One of my cousin and I shared the bulk of the canned octopus they had brought back from Spain. It was really yummy, and my grandmother seemed kinda horrified/mystified at how happy we were eating octopus tentacles. I think I used the excuse I would likely eat weirder things in Japan. :rofl: Real sushi tastes weird, I probably need to try a few more styles before I can really say I like it or not. Raw tuna reminds me of fruit for some reason. o_O;

I'll somehow get up to a mil randomly, and then I'll go for broke buying things. >_>; One of my BFFs is always buying me super expensive things, though, and I feel bad despite loving the items. xD *wants to draw her a billion things in exchange*

I guess it seems counter-intuitive to what we're used to in terms of meat? Unless you grew up with a lot of seafood. Although I'm with my mom in drawing the line at heads. No brains, thank you. :< I liked cooked tuna in certain things, but I just remember being confused as to whether or not I liked the tuna sushi I just ate in two instances. xDD

Yeah, it's like a guilty pleasure. Like someone makes me gourmet cakes all the time and I make them a pancake on occasion. xD
