They don't look different though and it didn't give the series a different feel. Like the transition for 9 to 10 felt smooth to me. While the transition for 10 to 11 was just like, everything is different and nothing is the same and it's just new.

and I'm definitely a Jack fan too. I love him.
In Torchwood though, I really like Ianto. He makes me giggle like 99% of the time.
and Owen is like an extremely intriguing and interesting character.

They are!

Plus the previous Doctors change up, too. I know Three and Four's are different just off the top of my head. :p

And the TARDIS that Nine has is COMPLETELY different from previous Doctor's. It may not be DRASTIC but they all change a lil' bit. ;D It's one of the quirks of the series.

It'd be disappointing if Moffat didn't change it up a bit.

Obviously I didn't notice. Cuz I kinda paid attention to stuff like that.
But right now I'm still feeling a bit bitter towards Doctor Who and just I needed a break from it, which is why I started Torchwood.

Hopefully, when it comes back I'll be able to fall in love with 11th Doctor. Maybe not as much as Ten or Nine, but at least love him and not just like him.
Though I do like Amy and Rory, especially Rory (which is saying something considering he's been in like two of the episodes I've watched)

I liked Eleven's first season a lot more than Ten's last season. It says a lot because Donna's my favorite companion - excluding Jack.

But there's that End of Time mess that was there :(

Oh but I love Ten's last season, so much better than I loved his third season. I just hated that season and I hated Martha, so that was probably why.

Hey Woody, what does your signature mean?

I don't hate Martha. It wasn't memorably bad for me. I loved all the stuff with Donna and Ten, like some of the individual episodes. ...Just RTD's overarching plot/storytelling isn't that successful for me. It happens in Torchwood, too. xD

Oh...but the Shakespeare episode? Brilliant.

I dunno what season is my favorite. I own season 2, but that's only because I've not had enough to buy other seasons yet. Oh, priorities.

Uh, It's just for the Sandy Hook shooting. Newtown is a town over from where I grew up/went to high school. And Sandy Hook is part of Newtown.

The entire time she was there I had a hard time enjoying the episodes because I was constantly just annoyed with Martha. I hated that she seemed to think she had some right to have the Doctor fall in love with her and she though her jealousy was something that should be understandable. Plus, the girl had no common sense.

I don't mind his storytelling it seems pretty good and coherent for the most part and he's really good at tying back to the beginning and keeping with the things he set up. For the most part. There are a few loose ends that bugged me (Jenny), but it seemed like good storytelling to me and the type that appeals to me in a tv show.

oh okay, Woody, I should have made that connection.

I love Nine's Season - individual episodes it was fabulous. Had a few of my favorites from both 9 and 10's runs. Like The Empty Child & the Doctor Dances are two of my favorites. Pre-Immortal Jack 'n' all.

Ten's favorite episodes for me were the ones like Shakespeare and Agatha Christie.

You can tell, the ones I tend to like are the "Period Piece" episodes. ;D

Ah - I really hated End of Time - so how he closed things up just by being like "oh now the Master's a cannibal and Time Lords are gonna come here and wreck things" was just...sloppy for me.

Edit: And it is bed time for me :]

The Empty Child is definitely one of my favorite episodes in the series.
For Ten, I really like Blink, Doomsday, The Doctor's Daughter, and The Satan Pit episodes
Eleven thus far my favorite has been the Van Gogh episode

The period episodes are definitely some of the best for the series, no matter what.

and I agree End of Time felt a bit rushed... but I think that was just more a nature of the situation they were in and not so much a fault of Russel T Davies. I think he really tried to cram a whole season's worth of stuff into one special.

Well...the series felt rather tied up with the whole 10.5 and -- Donna things getting wrapped up. There wasn't a TON to do if he played his cards right - but created a new mess and then ended it within that time. TuT;;

Eh - I guess I just don't enjoy RTD's writing as much. Even though I enjoy Torchwood, it's likely because I love Jack more than...any of the other aspects ;D

I looooooooooove the Van Gogh episode. One of my all-time favorite episodes (that I've seen from all of 1-11).

Yeah, I agree but they had to find a way for him to regenerate but I do agree Ten's journey really ended with the end of series 4 and he should have regenerated there.

I cried in that episode. It was just brilliant.
oh I also liked the Charles Dickens episode

I know that my sister watched that.
She said that I shouldn't just start watching now...that I need to catch up first.
Starting with the Dr. Who that was on before Tennet (?I think his name is).

We've talked about it, but then we'd have to get rid of something, and we really need our DirecTV cuz it works at home AND in the RV!
