I love this series. I've read all the books except The Last Hero...I've been trying to find an unillustrated version of it, but I don't think one exists. What's your favourite character/book? I like Angua...and Men at Arms.

I love Granny...I love everyone, actually.

I've based both my werewolves and my witches off of Terry Pratchett's. I can't really help it...they're good :P And fun.

The Igors are awesome <3 If they existed, I'd want one. Who wouldn't?

I like Granny Weatherwax, although my favourite books are probably, Making Money, simpley because it was one of the first i read, and got me hooked, Reaper Man, and Small Gods. I generally like all of them though. =3

And i think your right about there being no unlistrated The Last Hero. If i recall it was described as 'A Discworld fabel' which i guess, would mean mandatory pictures too.

I think my mom managed to find a version that was unillustrated, but it would be special order from somewhere in the States...I wish I could get an unillustrated version, though.

@Sun: Haha, small gods was funny :)

@Mariann: My Opa has the illustrated version, it's quite good.. But the illustrations arent.. hmm... pratchetty? You know how all the old covers have those blobby people and it kind of fit the style of writing? The new ones have those smooth almost realistic illustations that aren't quite right.

I don't like illustrations in books...I much prefer novels that let you use the imagination. Illustrations always seem to take away from that for me. Besides, the book is just unweildly! I like to read on buses, or when I'm waiting for classes, that sort of thing, but the illustrated version is way too large for that.

^^ Thank you! Maybe I should make a thread for people who don't like the series...but you just know there's going to be Twitards who post trying to say we just haven't read the books :P

=O Can I have the link to this thread? I've joined like...every "I hate Twilight" group on Facebook (as well as every page). I agree with Stephen King entirely...though I would've used slightly stronger language ^^;

I love Discworld too. My school library has 1 and 1/2 shelves filled with them. I've already read Night Watch, Monstrous Regiment, Interesting Times, Color of Magic, and many others. Can't wait to finish the series and buy my own set one day.

They're all good :) Have you read Jingo yet? It was really good, but scary if you thought about it...at least for me.

I liked Unseen Academicals. Very good book t'was. Jingo kept freaking me out, even though I liked it...the way Morporkians turned so easily against Klatchians and listened to rulers was very real, y'know?
