"I don't know." Lori hiccuped. "Oh it's terrible." she sniffled. "I followed Clark home and he was greeted by Lois! He kissed her. I knew he was hiding something but this?" she sobbed. "Seeing another girl behind my back?" she shook her head. "Why?"

Gemini pulled back, looking enraged. Behind her, the fire flared up again, reacting to her emotions. "What?! That bastard! How could he do that to you? I thought he was a nice guy! I'll KILL him!"

"Oh don't kill him. Please!" Lori gripped Gemini's arm. "This is all my fault. I should have noticed he was unhappy." she stared at the ground. "He tried to tell me today but...he didn't want to hurt me. I shouldn't have followed him home."

"This is NOT your fault!" Gemini growled angrily. "He should have told you if he wasn't happy. There is absolutely NO excuse for him cheating on you." She took a breath to calm herself. "I won't kill him, but I can't promise I won't kick him in the nuts the next time I see him."

Lori let out a shaky laugh. "Deal." she smiled then sighed putting the fire out. The poor firefighters looked so confused that she had to giggle. "I'm really sorry about your apartment." she stared at the burnt building. "I shouldn't have come back but I...I had no where else to go."

Gemini shook her head. "It's alright, really. I'll let you in on a secret: my boss was about to get shut down anyway. The whole building needed to be demolished and rebuilt. All you did was save them the money of having it knocked down." She smiled. She caught a glimpse of her boss, alive but slightly shaken, being questioned by one of the firemen. "It looks like we both need somewhere to go now, though."

"I have my sisters apartment keys...We could go there." Lori took a breath. "I really don't want to.But it that or go back to my apartment in...We'll go to Harleys." she scowled. She didn't want to see Clark and she didn't want to go to Harleys empty apartment. It was a sucky situation.

Gemini frowned. Neither option sounded good to her, and she could tell that Lori felt the same way. "...What about Bruce?" She asked suddenly. "He lives in a mansion with just himself and a butler. I'm sure he has room to spare, at least until we can find a place on our own."

"I don't want to burden him with my problems. He has enough of his own." Lori sighed softly.

Gemini frowned, but nodded. "Yeah, I guess you're right." She sighed. "I'm just a little nervous. Harley lived close to...well, I'm just worried about any uninvited visitors."

"If there uninvited I'll set them on fire." Lori promised. "Lets just not tell Bruce about this yet." she smirked.

Gemini nodded. "Alright, sounds like a plan. Let's go." She was dreading this- she hadn't been into Harley's place since she died, and she knew it would be painful- but there was nothing else for it. Better just go and get it over with.

Lori led the way pausing when she got to the door. With a breath she entered blinking at the lack of stuff. "God Harley." she felt her heartbreak. "Why didn't she tell me? I would have helped." she broke off as she wondered in examining the space. She found a picture of them as children, them as adults and one in there customs. "Her squad." she picked up a picture of the Suicide Squad. "She looks so happy."

Gemini's heart broke all over again seeing Lori's reaction. She decided not to tell her that Harley had barely ever spent any time here. "I know...I've met a few of them." She said, looking at the picture. "You know, despite the kind of life she lived...I think she really was happy. Maybe not as safe or secure as some would have liked, but she was free." She said.

"I really hope so." Lori felt tears rolling down her cheeks. "She deserved so much more then this." she clutched the picture to her chest.

Gemini shifted from foot to foot, not sure what to do. She wanted to hug the other, to comfort her, but she really didn't know her well enough to do that. Who knew how Lori would even take it. "I'm sorry." She said, at a loss for anything else to say.

"I know." Lori sniffles and headed for Harleys room. "Maybe this was a bad idea." she sighed running a hand threw her hair.

Gemini shrugged, not sure what to say. Deciding on the truth, she spoke. "Maybe. But it was the only option we had." She said.

"yeah." Lori began to clean up hands shaking as she sorted threw her sisters things. "I wonder if they'll even come get her stuff." she snorted. "Thats not likely."

"It's better if they don't. You should keep it." Gemini said, crouching down to help.

"Seems weird to keep this stuff...I'll keep what I want. You can pick what you want as well then we'll throw the rest out." Lori frowned at some of the things she found.

Gemini frowned slightly. She didn't like the idea of throwing Harley's belongings away, but she saw the wisdom in it. "Okay, I guess..." She said quietly.

"I know it's going to suck but she was smaller then me. None of her clothes would fit me, her shoes are also the wrong size. They deserve to go to someone who can actually wear them." Lori sighed. '' as for the rest...we'll figure it out as we go"

Gemini nodded. She certainly wasn't going to take the clothes- after all, she wouldn't fit, either. Not to mention, it would just feel to strange. "Alright then."

With Gemini's help Lori stored threw almost everything not even realizing they had been up all night till the sun rose and her phone buzzed. She blinked at it "Oh crap work." she rose then blinked. "Did we just stay up all night?"
