How far into the game are you?

Not very far at all. I've mainly been breeding on Diamond, so I haven't even beaten the first gym leader on Soul Silver. I'm going to do that tonight and see if that helps.

Oh my. I am not even sure what is being spoken of in this mysterious lady. I shall have to go back to route 29 to try this, though.

Any suggestions for a team on SoulSilver? I can't seem to decide what I fricken want and what way I want to go. So far I have been trying to have a mixed variety of them, but eh. I've got a Quilava, Croconaw, Alakazam, and then a bunch of random scatters that I try and then dislike. I am not sure I am going to even keep the two starters. However, Alakazam is my favorite so he must stay. ]:

Mannnn, I miss being a kid when I didn't care what my team was as long as they could kill the gym leaders. What is everyones opinion on Togepi? I usually use him as my HM monster, but I don't know if I want to this game.

I've been having a similar problem. I'm up to the Pokemon League right now, but I've only really battled with the Shiny red Gyarados, my Meganium and Lugia. The rest o my Pokemon are complete weaklings, which I need to work on a little. I don't wanna restart the game to do it, though. So I'm just leaving a few of them in the day care and working on my other DS games while they grow stronger every day.

I'm such a lazy llama when it comes to actually training Pokemon, but I have an addiction to the games that I can't seem to substitute. (:

I'll be happy to trade you some of my more powerful Pokemon if you wish, once you've got enough Gym Badges though, of course. ^-^

EDIT :: Bare in mind that most Pokemon you battle to progress in the main story line are level 45 and under, so you don't really need to get too majorly stressed out about a team until you finish that portion of the map. It's good that you're thinking ahead though, it's more than I ever do ! ! :sweat:

Well, it isn't so much that they are weak. I just don't particularly like them. Haha. I don't know. I have been really picky this time around and it's bugging me. Usually it's whatever six I come into contact with first and that's my team for the game minus maybe one or two changes. Mayhaps that is why I am trying to figure out an actual method this time around. I do not know. Daycare is a wise option. Maybe I shall try that and then just go to the move re-learner to fix their moves.

Thanks for the offer! Once I get a little bit further if I still can't get comfortable with a team I may take you up on that offer. And, actually, I think I may add a Gyarados in. I rather like the dragon ones.

I use my normal types for the Battle Hall. I got the first plaque using my Togekiss. I find Normal a pretty round group as the only real weakness is Fighting. I'm going to use my LickiLicky in HG to do the Hall. :)

I don't have a Kyogre yet from HG so I'm sorry I can't help. :(

Normal types work really well in Battle frontier. Togekiss and Lickylicky are great. Also, any fast dragon type like Salamance or Garchomp.

Do the kyorge and groudon have to be caught in HGSS for Raquaza to appear?
I do have my legit Kyogre and Groudon from my playthrough of Emerald...

I think the difficulty in HG/SS was ramped up though. I'll play a little more and try to decide for sure, but I do know they give less BP in one of the challenges....The board game one...I can't remember the name right now.

If anyone wants to help me with beta testing and balancing, I'm going to be making a patch for Pokémon Emerald (running on an emulator) that's going to make all of the Pokémon in Gens 1-3 catchable at some point.

Just wondering if there's anywhere else I can get a Shiny Stone besides from the Pokeathlon. :)

Hopefully I won't be beaten for admitting I have yet to do the Pokathalon....I've been sitting level grinding like mad. My LickiLicky is 92 now. O_o Most of my party is above or around 80.
