Queen - You're ashamed of only losing 40lbs? That's like 1/3 of my body weight, that in my opinion is something to be proud of.

I told her the same thing..well the be proud part. She feels she should be more strict with her foods since she had the surgery. I think she is doing amazingly. I have 90 lbs to go myself. Our goal is to thin down and be more healthy this year.

Not a big fan of oatmeal. Have to be in the mood to eat it. I prefer a real breakfast in the morning, eggs, some bacon. Start the day off on a hearty note, ya know?

Right now it's a protein shake in the morning, one in the afternoon and then something sensible for dinner and that's where I derail. *Sighs* Plus I need to get back into exercising. Ugh

My issue is finding the time to exercise properly and the remembering to eat. With the kids aunt and hubbs food is a battle here.

Today has been a lazy day in my neck of the woods, but I am very excited for the weekend. On Saturday my babies are having their birthday party to celebrate Lenna turning 3 and Xander turning 2. So I have been a busy mommy getting things organized for it all. I do wish the cold weather would go away already though. This freezing stuff in Texas is for the birds.

Yes I am The both are January babies so I am giving the a joint party at their favorite eatery. China King. :) They are more excited than me though I think. lol

---------- Post added 01-08-2015 at 03:49 PM ----------

Ok that has been corrected. Sorry for the unintentional ping guys.

PO I have been thinking that would be a good idea as well. I end up so busy with the kids and everything that I just end up wiped out before I can make myself something healthy XD

you could buy frozen veggies? those are good for you adn they don't have the sodium that canned veggies do and now they have them where you can nuke them in the microwave..

there's also turkey burgers and turkey bacon... those are good substitute meats..

Fresh veggies are great too. I'm sure if the kiddos see you eating veggies maybe they'll want some too

I do the frozen veggies and the steamers kind. And the turkey bacon but the burgers are so expensive to get and money is tight.

We all enjoy fresh veggies. But lately the stores close to us have been getting a very shotty shipment I mean way over ripe tomatoes or badly damaged produce. and carrots are a bit too hard as of yet for little man but his sister and I like them. We also sometimes do a fruit and plain yogurt with a small scoop of granola for lunch.

The best way I've seen for preparing burgers is to get them in the tube. If you slice a pattie straight off the tube you get an instant patty. Cheaper than getting premade patties.

Eh... poor shipments that's sad :(

Not only is it cheaper, but if your kid wants a thick or thin patty, you can make them one :D

Sounds like turkey burgers in a tube might be a good option.
Also, in my experience, turkey is extremely cheap so the option for many turkey dishes is available.

I love turkey burgers! Tastes fantastic with any sort of mustard, but I prefer the spicy mustard. Right now food just doesn't sound that appetizing. My throat is so raw and sore from coughing. Thankfully the medicine cabinet raid yielded some NyQuil gel tab thingies, so hopefully they will be providing a little relief soon. And the voice is going because of the coughing and post nasal drip stuff making me sound whiny and I hate that.
