Still sitting completely still Azra listened as Madaline attacked Drusilla. With her hearing she tracked there every movement. She still had her eyes closed, focusing. Azra knew that the White Devils first move would be taking out the angel's wings, which made Azra grin evilly. That's the only way she knew how to smile, it was her only emotions.

Azra's own wings were still out of their slits, close to her back where they wouldn't get in the way. For now she was content to leave them out. But when she wanted to she would put them away. She usually fought without them, unless she needed to fight another winged creature.

With a laugh Drusilla flew out of reach.This was going to be an interesting match,but a short one if Fire Dancer kept being so predictable.She hovered in the air,seeing that the Harpy was waiting to see what was going to happen next.With a beautiful smile Drusilla was glad to oblige.She dove gleefully towards the White Devil,then suddenly pulled away.She kept doing so until finally the devil had stopped flinching every time she dove.That was when she decided to stop playing around and take a good swipe at her opponent from behind with her rapier.It was underhanded,but necessary because she had no clue how strong Fire Dancer was.

Madaline bit her lip. she never actually landed any of her opening shots. That's why she usually never moved first. But this could be fixed. The Angel was good, Madaline would give her that. She was quick on her feet. and in the air now. Madaline's toes sunk into the sand as she watched the Angel fly around, looking for a shot. Then Drusilla attacked.

The rapier hit Madaline and she wondered if it would actually pierce her skin. A small yelp escaped her mouth as the pain kicked in. Her fangs retracted ever so slightly.

It did cut. But not deep. Just enough for the near-black blood to trickle down the tattoo on her back. Madaline hissed and her snake-like fangs retracted again. She reacted loudly to pain, but that didn't mean it bothered her. Her pink eyes watched both the Harpy and the Angel. They would either turn on one another, or gang up on her and then turn on one another. Right now, that was all up to Azra.

Madaline decided to try one more shot at Drusilla before she worried too much about Azra. Then again, the Harpy could leap out at any point and attack her and Madaline would be non the wiser. But she had her target right now. She would take it.

With a deep inhale, Madaline gathered as much oxygen in her lungs as she could. A small clicking could be heard form the back of her throat, the only warning of what she was going to do next.

A burst of burning white flame escaped from Madaline's mouth at Drusilla. The top of her staff was caught in the blaze, lighting the firestone core on fire, lighting the staff up like a two-sided torch.

Finally opening her eyes Azra watched the Angel and Devil fight. She had to admit that both were pretty good. The two of them were interesting to watch. When Madaline breathed her fire a wicked grin spread across Azra's face. Oh did she want that ability. She loved her solar screech, but to breath fire? Now that would be amazing.

Bored now Azra decided to finally join the fight. Since Madaline just attacked Azra decided to go for her first. Using just her arms Azra did a back flip from her seating position. When her feet landed on the ground she quickly put her foot under her staff and flicked it up, grabbing it in her right hand. Then after twirling it around once she slammed the end in it on the ground. A burst of her solar screech came out of it directed towards Madaline.

Azra followed it up by blurring, coming fast at Madaline. Stopping in front of her she took a swipe at the devil with her claws aiming for her stomach. When she had been running towards Madaline she had went 'harpy'. Her claws came out and her eyes turned completely black.

Drusilla panicked when she saw the flames coming her way.She couldn't think,so she did the first thing that came to mind.Back flips where hard at the best of times,doing one now was going to be very chancy. All the angel could do was hope she could dodge those flames .

Even while she was desperately trying to save herself she heard the Harpy join into the fray.She could only be glad that she wasn't attacking her.for now..Surprisingly,Drusilla pulled it off.She breathed a sigh of relief ,before going into her next move.While Solar was attacking the Devil,she was going to attack the Harpy.Drusilla waited until the Harpy was completely engrossed in her attack ,before going after her.The wings where out,and they were what Drusilla aimed for when she dove forward with her rapier slashing down upon her target.

Madaline felt the screech and once her flames had died off her tongue, she tuned to face it. The vibrations in the sand told her of it's coming, but weather or not she could acutally block it was the thing.

Madaline felt herself blown away by the power of the screech. But it wasn't as bad as it could have been. She recovered fast, and held tightly onto her staff. Like Azra, she was a much better fighter with her staff, than without it.

She then saw the Harpy coming and held her ground as steady as she could in the sand. The white flames burned hot on each end of her staff. Madaline herself being protected by the strong heat by the dense Dragon bone that encased the firestone core. When the Harpy finally reached her, Madaline protected herself by trying to dodge.

Madaline screamed as the pain sheered across her raised arms. There was small amounts of blood, but still not much. It stung like heck and she tried to best to steady her vision from the pain. She could see the Angel coming down from above at the Harpy. Madaline wondered. Should she help Drusillla and then turn on her? Or should she help Azra and then turn on her?

Madaline decided on helping the new girl. She usually did. Madaline usually found herself siding with the weakest or the youngest int he beginning, and then inevitably turning on them in the end. But that was how the arena worked. Madaline wondered how she had a conscious after all these years.

With that decided, Madaline took in Drusilla's flight path. She would reach Azra soon, but the Harpy would dodge. So, Madaline moved herself to be in a position where she could hit Azra back to Drusilla. She readied herself for that.

When her blow to Madaline hit Azra grinned. Even if her nails didn't cut deep it would hurt badly. The way her nails were shaped caused the most soft tissue damage and that always hurt. She heard Drusilla attacking her from behind, aiming for her wings an she danced out of the way.

But she wasn't lucky enough. The way the angel positioned her blade was hard to dodge and it connected with one of her wings. It tore a small whole through the top of her wing, a very painful spot but Azra didn't even wince. To show weakness was bad and she could handle the pain. When she had dodged she was put in Madaline's path. Striking out with her staff she pushed a button with her thumb and two blades shot out of the ends so they would cut if she connected. She aimed for the devil's knee.

Then jumping in the air she did a front flip over Madaline's head and landed behind her. She took another swipe to the back of her knee's pushing the button again so the blades retracted. Azra didn't want to completely incapacitate the girl.

Ari'anthinen, known better to her peers as 'Ariana' or 'Mercy', scurried through the halls. She ached slightly from her latest battle, and new purple flowers bloomed across her arms and neck. Her hands were shaking and covered in a layer blood, as well as her needle-like dagger.

The human she had been facing had moved unexpectedly right as her weapon was thrown. So instead of piercing the crook of his right elbow, the last limb that could still hold an item dangerous to her wellbeing (for example, a sword), it stabbed him In his chest, perilously close to his heart. She had tried to stop the bleeding, which eventually ceased its flow. Ariana then hit him on the base of his neck, successfully knocking him out and letting her win the battle by K.O.

She needed a space to train. She needed to make sure an incident like this wouldn't, couldn't, happen again. She didn't have the heart to grievously injure in her matches, let alone kill! She knew that she was a coward, only winning by knocking out her opponents, but that's how shes been ever since she was extremely young. Always running away.

Ari'anthinen, during her time reminiscing, had found her self in the shower room. Quickly turning one on, she washed the blood off her hands, watching as the water ran pink for only a moment before she shut off the shower.

She needed to find a place to master her throwing knife, so that her battle today would never repeat. Stalking quickly to her favorite training room, she thrust open the door, only to be met with an intense battle, or rather 'training session', already going on inside.

Madaline's attack missed, and wasn't needed. So all was okay. Until the Harpy jumped up and behind Madaline. she knew where this was going. Azra would try to take out her legs. Her strong legs. The only other part of her that was as strong as her staff. And a devilish grin spread on her pale lips.

Madaline whipped out her tail and tried to grabbed Azra's staff. Without it, the Harpy would be that much weaker.

But that didn't work. Azra still held her staff, but Madaline was still standing. That was good. With that she spun around to face her opponent, flaming staff in hand. Her tail was bruised again and she hissed with the pain. Her snake-like fangs showed tot he Harpy as she hissed.

Madaline heard the door bang open and she smelled the Demon that walked through the doors. She didn't recongize the smell. Must have been a new fighter. But she didn't let that distract her too much. She would wonder more when this battle was done.

Drusilla waited for another opening,and was glad to see the Devil trying to disarm Solar.Now was the perfect time to put into action a new trick she'd been thinking about.It was chancy ...But if it worked the advantage would fall to her.It would meant attacking not only the Harpy ,but her current ally.Then again,they would be fighting each other eventually anyway.After a little more deliberation,Drusilla decided to try out her experimental attack.

With a look of intense concentration the Angel flew high enough in the air that the wind from her wings reached both the currently earth bound fighters.Drusilla saw someone enter the training area,but didn't bother with more then a glance in their direction.She started flapping her wings,harder and harder,all the while concentrating on changing the air flow.Cutting blades of wind where what she imagined sending down on her fighting partners,but she was also trying to control their trajectory enough that they wouldn't kill either of them.This move had taken her years of practice...It was this that has distracted her from her assignment.Hopefully it would pay off.

When the door banged open Azra barely gave it a glance. She wasn't to worried about the person that came through attacking her. She kept her attention on the fight at hand. She could hear Drusilla in the air above her but payed no attention to her, which was the wrong move. She underestimated the Angel and was surprised but the wind like daggers that started raining down on herself and Madaline.

She was cut up all over her arms before she could dive out of the way and spring up into the air. Her wings beating powerfully until she was high up in the air and close to Drusilla. Opening her mouth she made a solar screech and directed it to Drusilla.

With a grin of satisfaction Drusilla shifted her attention to the Harpy beside her.This training session was turning out to be more interesting then she'd thought it could ever be,especially since she hadn't been harmed as yet.But that might change very soon.The Angel couldn't stop the small yell of surprise that escaped her mouth when Solar sent one of her famous screeches her way.In desperation she folded her wings up,to try and drop quickly bellow the attack.

It brushed past one of her wings,taking off a few feathers that fluttered to the ground gently.A few seconds more spent trying to decide what to do and Drusilla would have been out for the count.Her wings where her weakest point after all.Quickly she changed her tactics yet again and flew up in front of the Harpy aiming a cut right for her left wing.Hopefully it would work.If not,Drusilla had another plan just in case.

Seeing Drusilla's attack before she even did it Azra darted to the right and dodged the blow. She was getting very bored with the fight and wanted her rest. So making her wings go into the slits in her back she fell towards the ground. Landing in a crouched position. Standing up she looked over to Madaline then up into the air at Drusilla. "I have grown bored of this fight but please continue fighting each other." She said in her usual cold tone. It would be interesting to see the both of them fight full out against each other.

Walking to the edge of the sand arena she sat once again in the lotus position. She laid her staff on the ground by her right side. Azra looked over to the girl known as Ari'anthinen who was still standing in the doorway to the training area. She wondered if she would come talk to Azra or if she would just go train by herself.

Madaline hadn't seen the attack coming, but very few people could see wind. Madaline felt the air as it picked up it's own speed and managed to barely dodge the attack but flattening herself on the soft sand.

Getting up, she brushed the sand from her, keeping her red-pink eyes on her two opponents. Azra declared her boredom of the battle and left the small sand arena. Madaline looked at Drusilla, "Do you wish to continue, or stop for the night?" she asked her, gripping her staff in case the Angel decided to attack before responding with words.

Ari'anthinen felt like an idiot, just standing in the open doorway of the training room. She was stock-still, watching as they attacked each other over and over, hitting and slashing and causing what should have been enormous amounts of brusies and pain, but they just kept going.

She was still until the Demon of the group, a Harpy named Azra who was one of the Elite in the Arena, stopped sparring and moved towards the side.

When Ariana was 'banished' here, she had slunk around the corridors and had soon learned of the extremely strong Harpy. She had made this demon her idol, a figure she would think of during her battles to give her a sense of perseverance and strength. And now her idol was just a few feet from her! So, as a secret fan, she did the one thing she would never have done otherwise.

Ari'anthinen took one deep, calming breath so that she wouldn't be overwhelmed by the adrenaline fueled by the fear and excitement of not only seeing an intense session of battle, but by being so close to her hero. She took a tentative step forward, hesitating only a second before striding what she hoped was confidently towards Azra.

She stopped right beside the demon, opening and closing her mouth only once as she attempted to say something. Glancing only briefly to where the sparring had suddenly stopped, Ariana chose to not speak but instead opted to sit down beside the Harpy.

Azra was glad when Ari'anthinen just sat down by her and didn't speak. She didn't like to talk much and it was always nice when no one said anything. Speaking was not her strong suit, fighting was. She sat and waited to see what Drusilla decided to do.

Drusilla let herself fall gently to the ground and put away her rapier."It seems like we've come to a draw.Better this way,I think."Smiling she turned to the new comer."Hello,my name's Drusilla.It's a pleasure meeting you."So saying she extended her hand to this new person,wanting to make a friend.Maybe together they would be able to break free of the Arena.If they worked as a team.

Madaline nodded at Drusilla's agreeing on a draw. She finally turned all her attention to the newcomer. She inhaled deeply and new what blood this demon carried in their veins. An Earth Demon. Madaline didn't quite recognize the girl, but knew enough to know she was new to the arena by Madaline's standard.

The white devil didn't follow Drusilla in greeting the newcomer to the training room. Instead she gripped her staff ever more tightly and moved away from them all. She didn't trust people. She still didn't trust Drusilla or Azra. She may like them more now, but that didn't mean she could trust them.

When the Angel dropped to the ground, calling a draw, Ari'anthinen was only slightly surprised. However, when she turned to face her and introduced herself - Drusilla, she recalled idly - she was astounded. Ari'anthinen knew not of her intentions but reached for her outstretched hand, hesitating only once before grasping it firmly.

"Salutations. My name is Ari'anthinen, known more commonly as Ariana or Mercy."

She cursed slightly in her mind for her voice was soft and slightly scratchy from underuse, and still extremely formal from her time 'before'. She never spoke much in the Arena now, though at first she begged for the fight to stop, to be let go.

Like that did anything.

So she spent most of her time writing or practicing or drawing. Speaking wasn't one of her strong points. But it was nice now to have what hopefully are allies in this place.

Soft steps caught her attention, and she turned to the final occupant of the room, and stopped dead, breath caught in her throat.

It was The White Devil.

Madaline felt eyes on her as she moved to the fighting dummies near the sand pit. She turned her pink eyes to look at the Earth Demon that had decided to stare. Her eyes hissed 'What do you want?' before she turned her head away, lifting her staff to begin going through her moves.

She hit hard. The anger that always grew within her over the course of the day was finally allowed to come out. One of the things Syvious had taught her while he still cared for her so many years ago, was that to allow her emotions to take over her in the arena would only cause her to loose. So here is where she let it all go.

((It's alright. I've been late and all myself. My laptop fried to getting onto the other computers in the house is hard :|))

Drusilla shrugged then moved to speak with the White Devil,tough she did look quite angry."Would you teach me?"She whispered after that."Maybe ..All of us could try and find a way out of the Arena.We each gave different strengths,and skills,that complement each other.So what do you think?It might take centuries.."

Letting out a cold laugh Azra rose to her feet, her staff gripped in her hand. "You are silly if you think there is anyway of getting out of here. You do remember the marks right? Try to leave and you just get sent back and there is always the punishment for trying to leave. They know right away." She paused an evil grin on her face. "There. Is. No. Getting. Out. Of. Here." Each world was enunciated as Azra spoke. There really was no way of getting out of here until you completed your time or you died. She had come to accept that, they needed to accept it to.

With a huff Drusilla quickly pointed out her plan."We can always make them think we're dead.Don't they remove the marks then?Useless waste of magical energy in their eyes."
