You all know the rules. So please do not post here. Thank you.

Name: Benjamin Valex
Age: 22
Appearance:

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It hadn't been that long of time since his parents had informed Benjamin of the newly arranged marriage. It was far from his idea of a happy marriage. He wasn't even thinking of marriage, but when his parents said that he had to there was no questioning it. The worst part of it was the fact that it wasn't going to be a demon. It was going to be arranged to an angel, which was rarely heard of. It wasn't common for that type of a marriage to be arranged, but it was to end a blood feud between families. Benjamin had caused a scene when his parents had first told him, but it didn't do a thing to stop it. It wasn't like he expected it to cause the marriage to be canceled, but it was just a thought. Now he was on his way to meet with the girl he was to be married to. It wouldn't be his first time in the human world. They had to meet there because neither would be fully welcomed into each others worlds until it was closer to the marriage.

Name: Mindi Mason
Age: 18
Appearance:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Around the same time, Mindi's parents were thinking of the same thing, but had not yet told their daughter of the upcoming event as they were heading for earth at the time. Mainly because now she was nowhere in sight! That girl liked to go everywhere without some kind of warning of where she was headed. Also without a pause. Her father had pretty good insight of her whereabouts most of the time, but here on earth... Not a clue.
When Mindi heard they were going to earth she got really excited and therefore didn't hear what was said after that as she had0 stars in her eyes and a dazed look on her face.
Her mother figured Mindi must have wandered off just after she landed as she and her father were discussing the plan afterward. It was a big city with many places to explore and get lost in. This was fearful for the parents as they thought of her all alone, getting lost somewhere and then being attacked! Haunted them constantly as they called out to her hoping for an answer. Though, by this time she was probably too far to hear as they'd lost track of her way before they landed themselves as she was way ahead of them.
The human world was far too crowded for Benjamin's personal preference. he would much rather be in a less populate area than this. Benjamin strolled down the streets listening to the people talk among themselves. It was interesting to hear them converse about something and then others were absolute bores to him. Benjamin had been looking off at some of the stores in the area when he was hit by a girl. He looked down at the girl, who had bumped into him. "Excuse me." He said with a slight bow of his head and he continued on his way. He had felt something different about the girl, but he didn't think much about it. There were plenty of beings in the human realm that were from other realms. It wasn't anything surprising to him. It wasn't like he would see her again.
The meeting place was a house on the side of a hill. It was a nice little place that wasn't too small and neither too big. It was almost the perfect size for a small family. It was nice garden and a a wonderful area for having tea out in the garden among the flowers. There were servants there that his family had sent to prepare things for the meeting. Things were place out in their proper places when he arrived. Benjamin awaited his parents arrival since he had left without them. He was old enough to travel on his own. He also had to wait for the family of angels to arrive as well.
Mindi, however enjoyed big cities. Many places to visit and people to see walking everywhere, giving her ideas of where to go next by following them wherever they were going. Sightseeing was also fun as she noticed the big signs of advertisements for sales and such. Window shopping was also fun as she would see many cute things she might want to get herself. With all these wonderful things on earth to see, she completely lost track of where she was going as a guy bumped into her. He'd apologized while looking down at her, but she couldn't respond back as he walked away too quickly to get a word in. Plus she was shy when talking to people, guys especially. This guy however... He was a bit creepy to her as she noticed his face while looking up then. As he walked away she sort of shivered while holding her arms crossed against her chest. She wasn't sure what it was and sort of hoped not to see him again, even if he seemed polite then.
Once the chill was over, she figured she should go to the meeting place before her parents worried too much about her. She figured they'd noticed she was gone a long time ago and were probably looking for her now. She was so excited about coming here she sort of lost track of where she was supposed to go. Not into the city by herself, but to a small house on the side of a hill. Apparently it had a nice garden with many flowers to view while drinking tea or something. She was old enough to go wherever she wanted, having just finished high school and becoming a young adult, but sometimes her parents still treated her like a child.
Meanwhile at the house, her parents were waiting not only for the family, but also wondering what the servants were for. They wouldn't need them as they were pretty capable without the help of anyone but themselves, but figured it must be a common thing for their species. They'd given up calling out to their daughter and figured she'd be at the meeting place. Not a sign on her... Since they were already there, they'd just wait for her to meet them there, not liking the idea however... The worried look on their faces must have caught on to some of the servants as they looked in their direction a few times.
Benjamin noticed that the family had arrived already, but he didn't really bother going to greet them. While that would be the polite custom he wasn't really in the mood to be too polite to anyone. His parents arrived after a few minutes and he bowed his head slightly. He was still upset about the whole plan to have an arranged marriage, but seeing as they were already here for the meeting there was not turning back from it. "Mother, Father." He said as he acknowledge both of them with a slight bow of his head. "It's good to see you." He said as nicely as he could. His father rolled his eyes a bit and his mother just gave him a slight smile. "Let's get this over with." His father said in a flat tone. Benjamin nodded not waiting to say anything to to upset him any further than he was. Benjamin followed his father out into the garden and his mother was right behind them.
"Good afternoon, I hope you're travels were well." Benjamin's father said as he walked out into the garden towards the Mason family. "This is my son Benjamin, my wife Livina, and I am Gabriel. We spoken once before." He said with a somewhat pleasant smile. He motioned towards the table that had the tea all set out for them. "If you would please take a seat." He said as he walked over and held a chair out for mother. He looked up and around noticing that they were missing one of the most important players. "Will your daughter not be joining us?" He asked as he took his own seat.
Benjamin looked from his father to the family that was now before him. Benjamin gave them a slight inclination of his head, but that was all. He took a seat near his parents and looked up at his fathers mention of their daughter being absent. He raised his eyebrows a bit, but other than that showed no sign of it being a bother to him. Maybe they had called it off at the last moment. That would be okay with Benjamin, but his father could have gotten very upset after all the work he had put in to it.
The parents watched as the man greeted his parents quite formally, noticing the look in his eyes. That look of not agreeing to this plan… They couldn’t blame him as they were kind of worried about the whole plan themselves. Their daughter was to marry a complete stranger that seemed too old for her, but there really was nothing they could do about it. Both children were their only children of the two couples and it had to be this generation for the plan to take place. No later time would do or there would be a bigger risk of war and destruction of the two races.
The two followed right behind them as they entered the garden. "Good afternoon, sir. We traveled quite well thank you." The father returned the greeting as the mother was still worried sick as her mind was somewhere else. "Indeed we did. This is my wife, Miranda and my name is Juan." He smiled back making it look as sincere as possible. "Thank you very much." Juan had to help his wife sit down while she remained in the daze. "Please excuse her. She means not to be rude…" He sat himself down as well before continuing. "Our daughter is quite the explorer. She’d wandered off just before we’d landed here on Earth, hence her being absent. Sorry she’s not here to greet you properly..." He was being quite sincere with the apology knowing how impatient some demons could be. Miranda was just sitting there silently without a word as she took a quick glance at the family.
Mindi in the meantime was still trying to find her way out of the city. Being the scatterbrained person she was, she’d forgotten what her parents told her about the location as she wandered around looking for the hill, a garden... Anything. She wasn’t scared yet, but not knowing was making her a bit nervous. She knew to avoid suspicious looking people and to stay clear from alleys, but right now they seemed like perfect shortcuts, no matter how dark. She couldn’t fly here which would be helpful right now... She needed a sign...
Gabriel watched as the family took a seat across the table from them. He looked up at Juan and gave him a slight nodded. "I understand how some children can be." He said with a slight smile. He did know that some children just naturally went running off, but still this was an important meeting and they should have kept her under more control. He knew that he could not do anything to help it now, but maybe send someone to look. "Would you like for us to send someone out to find her?" He asked Juan and his wife. He wanted to end this nicely before he lost his temper and said something rude to them. It wouldn't take that much time to cause him to lose his temper.
Benjamin looked at the parents of the girls he was going to marring. The mother didn't even seem to be in her right mind and he hoped that their daughter wasn't anything like this. It was enough that she was late to her own marriage arrangements. If he had tried anything like this he would have been punished severely by his father once he found him. Benjamin could tell that his father was becoming impatient and would soon just be all together rude towards the angels. While he didn't see a problem in that because the marriage may be called off he knew that he had to do something. "I will go fetch her. While I'm gone you may be able to get some of the terms of this marriage worked out." He said with a charming smile towards the mother of his soon to be wife. He looked over at his father and mother and then back to the other couple. He would be glad to leave them alone. It wasn't like it should be that hard for him to find one angel.
"Please do." Juan could see the look on the man's father's face. That look of almost anger he'd seen before while trying to come face to face with him and his wife the first time. Except it was a guard who'd given him the evil eye instead. This whole meeting was scheduled for here on Earth as the guard had become the messenger, unpleasantly giving the demon lord a message of the meeting place suggestion. He was geting worried about Mindi now, too but was still calm in front of the guests. Miranda on the other hand was trying to hold back worried tears as her facial expression could be easily read by anyone who looked at her. She gave the young man a quick nod as to agree with her husband as she was nearly holding a napkin to her face. She was like this each time her daughter wandered off somewhere even though she knew Mindi would be just fine.
Some wandering later, Mindi noticed a small house in the far distance. Her shortcuts had worked after all. She got her sign, even though the house still looked to be quite a distance away. Wouldn't bother he as she had lots of energy to spare. There were still people around however as there was a beach nearby. One glance up and they'd see her in the air. Probably not clearly, but well enough to notice it wasn't a bird. She'd have to walk. Still didn't bother her as she proceeded forward toward the house, still nervous about why her parents wanted her there. The garden was on the other side of where she was walking so no one would see her approach. Even when close up unless someone were to walk through the front door.
"Well, then please excuse me." Benjamin said as he smiled and pushed himself away from the table and stood up. "I'll be back shortly." He said as he turned around and began to walk towards the front door. The only way to the house was up the main path unless she came from the beach which he was highly doubtful of. Benjamin walked through the house and out the front door. He walked down the path and just a short while from the house he saw her walking. At least he thought it was her, who else would it be? "Are you the Mason's daughter?" He called out to her as he continued to walk towards. He was a bit annoyed at the fact that she had been just a short distance from the house. He didn't like wasting his time, but he knew that it was better than sitting back in the garden with his family and hers.
"Well, now that that's take in care of shall we continue on terms of our agreement?" Gabriel asked as he looked at Juan across the table. He would have also looked at his wife, but she seemed to be utterly useless at this moment. "Our treaty will be locked in with our children's marriage, am I right?" Gabriel said as he took went to take a sip of the tea that was laid out before him. The marriage would be the only thing holding the treaty and if anything went wrong with the marriage the treaty would be effected too. It was a serious topic because everything had to be nailed out now to avoid any misunderstanding for later.
Mindi continued to walk as she dazed out at the view she saw. It was beautiful even in this area of the city. Taking this route was probably the better way than walking the beach route considering it was easy walking. She'd have to climb the hill had she taken the other route otherwise and with her yukata on now, it would be pretty close to impossible as it was similar to a mermaid tail dress. Though, it could pull apart at the bottom for leg movement... But to her that was a bit too revealing as the thought made her blush. The blush subsided after a few seconds as well as her daze when she heard a voice call out her surname. Looking around to see where the voice came from she noticed the guy from earlier. How did he know it? They'd only just bumped into each other a while ago. He looked angry... Made her a bit scared as she quickly hid behind a bush that curved in a few directions. Mindi continued walking sideways in one of them, hoping to cut him off. Strangers... She was told to stay a way from them.
"That's what we're here for." He wasn't trying to sound smug. He was agreeing with him while also pushing things along so it would go quicker. "That’s correct. It’s the only time we can do this without a problem. Any later and well… You could probably guess what would happen." Juan also took a sip of his tea as did Miranda. She was feeling a bit more at ease now as the tea was soothing. She could also feel her daughter was nearby as the motherly instinct settled in. Juan continued. "So, what have we got so far and what’s left to do?" He was sure everything or close to it was pretty much covered. He just wanted to confirm if anything was missed. Miranda had a feeling they had missed something, but couldn’t quite place her finger on it...
Benjamin raised his eyebrow when the girl went to hide from him. He sighed as he went after her to retrieve her. Was she really that young or was she that frightened of him? It really didn't matter to Benjamin which of the two were correct. "I was sent to retrieve you for your parents." He said as he walked towards her. He really didn't realize that this was the girl, who had bumped into him. He wasn't paying attention then and hadn't really had a reason to remember the face. The wind began to blow and his red tail coat began to sway. He held out his hand for her to take so he could led her back to the house. "Our parents are waiting." He said as he looked down at her.
"There is still the matter of where they will live." Gabriel said as he placed his cup back down on the table. He clasped his hands together and looked at both Juan and Miranda. "I realize that we will never come to an agreement on a definite location. Seeing as how we could prefer our realm and you would prefer your own." Gabriel said as nicely as he could, but this was the part he disliked the most. "The idea of having them stay a certain amount of time in each location seems to be the best option. What do you think?" He asked as he looked in between the two.
Mindi was just following her parents' orders as they’d told her to get away from strangers on earth if they seemed suspicious, but looked confused as the guy spoke of them as if he knew them. She stood up from behind the bushes and looked toward the grown to avoid eye contact. "You... You know my parents? How? We’ve only been here for a short while..." The wind blew her hair from side to side as she stood there, the scent of the sea breeze so calming as she took it in while nearly losing sight of the situation. She was so dazed by now she nearly reached out her own hand when she realized who she was talking to. "I suppose I should go greet them..." She emerged from the bushes, curious as to what they wanted as she walked herself toward the house, her adventurous spirit taking over.
"Ah, yes. The living arrangement." Juan also placed his cup down while at the same time Miranda picked hers up. Before taking a sip she spoke up next. "I’m not so sure about that. Mindi seems quite satisfied wherever she lives. Seems she likes it here already otherwise she wouldn’t have wandered off." It was the only reason she could think of as she’d figured out what was missing. Mindi wouldn’t have joined them on Earth had she known or heard the plan of marriage... She kept quiet about it, though. "Our own realm seems to bore her already." She continued, knowing a secret even her husband didn’t. "Though." She quickly changed the topic. "She’d prefer places that weren’t scary…" She was being sympathetic of her daughter’s fears while Juan just gave her a look. The look saying, 'It shouldn’t matter. She can endure that.' He spoke up next ignoring the returning almost begging look. "I’d say that’s a fine idea. Until they can get used to each other, anyway. But will they each be allowed... That‘s my concern..." He thought about that for a bit.
Benjamin looked down at the girl, who would soon be his wife. She didn't seem to be very capable or at least not from anything that he had seen her do. She was hiding from him and she wouldn't even look at him directly. She seemed like a child to him and he really didn't know how his parents thought this was going to work out, but he knew that whether he liked her or not they would still be getting married. "I have met your parents, but I do not know them." He said as he watched her try to avoid eye contact. Benjamin was a bit surprised when she stopped in mid-motion of reaching for his hand. He raised an eyebrow. He watched her begin to wander off towards the house. He followed after her not really upset that his offer to help was rejected. It was less of a bother to him if she walked on her own. Although he was a bit confused as to why she didn't know that he would know her parents. Could it be that she didn't know anything yet?
Gabriel raised his eyebrow at Miranda when she began to speak. He didn't know whether she really didn't care where her daughter would live or if she was oblivious to what her words were saying. Gabriel gave a small side glance to his wife, who was smiling at Miranda. Livina didn't mind the idea of her son staying at home. She didn't really care whether the girl would be frightened or not. They weren't going to be there to babysit her. Even though Benjamin was an considered an adult Livina had a habit of treating him like a child. "I can assure that our home is not frightening." Livina said a bit annoyed that they would think such a thing. It was a home like any other and while it resided in a realm that was consider frightening it itself was not. The people may not be completely normal, but that was a completely different matter. Gabriel didn't mind his wife's comment and he continued on without so much as a glance at her. "I've already set up a formal contract with our council. She may stay as long as no trouble comes from it, but she will not be allowed entry into specific areas." He simply stated.
Mindi continued to walk towards the house as she watched the waves below form from the breeze. They weren't that high at the time, but with each wave passing they seemed to be getting bigger. She could only be imagining it though as she continued to walk forward. There seemed to be a few clouds forming in the air as well. Rain? She wasn't sure as she stood before the house looking at its beauty. She'd seen houses like these before, but never in 3-D. Most of the time they were only pictures she saw that looked 3-D from their angles. She stood there for a bit perhaps waiting for the guy to catch up to her quick walking speed. Either that or she couldn't take her eyes off the house.
"I'm sorry for saying that... I know we're trying to make peace here, not war..." Miranda apologized for her rudeness about their location being scary. "I'm sure your world is quite lovely." She'd been there only once and perhaps to her it seemed a bit scary. Then again any demon might find their world a bit frightening or too graceful for their liking. Miranda had stood up and bowed her apology to show she was really sincere about it. Juan sighed as he sat her back down. "It's a custom." He explained. "Anyway, I'm sure they'll both be fine wherever they live." He figured it might take some getting used to, but eventually everything would be alright. What Gabriel said next kind of worried Miranda a bit, but she kept silent as she sipped her tea again.
Outside the doors, Mindi was getting a bit chilly. She stepped in and removed her shoes. She had no clue where she was going except it was in a... Garden? A puzzled look appeared on her face as she proceeded forward, looking for any window to show her where to go.
Benjamin walked into the house following the girl. He watched as she began to wonder around ignoring him completely. It wasn't that he minded, but it was bit annoying that she ignored the fact that he knew where they were going and wouldn't ask for help. He had an itching to just leave her and go back on his own, but if he came back empty handed it would cause more trouble than any good. "The garden is this way." He said as he walked in front of her and down the hall towards the glass doors that led outside. He didn't bother looking back at the girl to see if she was following. He knew she was in the house and he knew she must have heard him whether she acknowledge him or not was her decision. He stopped at the doors and pushed them open slowly and held them open for her. While he wasn't happy about anything that was about to happen, but manners were manners. His parents had engraved them into him since his birth.
Livina watched Miranda as she took a sip of her tea. Their two worlds were completely different and misunderstandings were going to happen she knew that very well. The thing that had upset her was the fact that she had assumed that her home was frightening. Who would want to live in a frightening home? Even though they were demons it didn't mean they did not appreciated beauty just as they did. Livina had put her heart into decorating her home. "It's fine. I accept your apology." She said as she pulled her tea cup away from her mouth. Gabriel was a bit annoyed at everything, but at least his wife had been smart enough to let it go at that. "Then I believe that all that is left is the marriage ceremony itself. Neither my wife or myself care where it is held. If you have a idea of what you would like then please do tell us." Gabriel said as he looked between the two. Marriage ceremonies were not at all that important in there customs. They could careless as long as it was a binding marriage.
As Mindi entered the garden, she actually bowed him a thank you. She wasn't that rude, just cautious... She wasn't sure what was to come by entering through those doors, but clearly this person did otherwise he wouldn't be here. Right?
The first words she heard while entering the garden was 'Marriage Ceremony'. This confused her even more. What marriage ceremony? She entered the garden just after the unfamiliar voice ceased and saw her parents as well as two others she assumed were his as the father finished speaking...
Being careful not to interrupt the conversation she sat herself down quietly hoping not to be noticed entering late.
"Melinda Mason! Where have you been for the past four hours!?" Her father had that rough tone to his voice as he used her full name, only used when he was really irritated. "I expect the truth, young lady. And no stuttering."
Somehow the voice booming at her sounded a lot worse than other times she'd been late for something. She wondered why... No stuttering he said... When her father spoke to her that way she'd always stutter. "Well... Um... I was..." She looked down toward her lap, the wind blowing her hair again this time somehow with a slight suspenseful feeling in the air. Her father was glaring at her as she looked up sheepishly trying to answer him.
"I'm waiting young lady. Where were you? You could have been hurt! You don't know your way around!" He wasn't sure what effect this would have on the others as he scolded her in front of them.
"S-sorry Father... The city was so inviting today. I couldn't resist looking around."
"Today?" The word 'today' in her sentence sounded suspicious. "You mean to tell me you've been here before?!" This could get ugly as he stood up nearly pounding the table to the ground.
"Now, dear. Our guests..." Miranda was trying to calm him down now before it got worse. He ignored her, though and continued to glare at Mindi, not being able to focus on anything else. It was hard to tell who the demon was here...
Benjamin inclined his head in return to her bow. He could hear his father's voice as he walked out into the garden. He took his seat next to them. He had heard them discussing the marriage ceremony. That meant that everything had gone as planned and the marriage was still on. His luck was not as good as he thought it would be. His mother gave him a quick smile and he returned it with a small one of his own. He was a bit surprised by Juan reaction to his daughter, but that subsided in a few seconds. The demon society was built on order and power. It wasn't something new to hear someone yelling at someone. It was something it was all too familiar with during his childhood years. His parents had made sure he knew his place at a young age.
Gabriel didn't really mind the yelling, but it was the fact that they still had things to discuss. He waited a bit until Miranda mentioned that they were still there. Gabriel took a sip of his tea and set it down. "While I know this is an important family matter for you I must interrupt, I'm sorry." He said with a slight bow of his head. "Now about the Marriage ceremony. Do you have any preferences for it?" He asked as he looked at Juan. He wanted to end this as quickly as he could and that meant having to break up his little punishment of his daughter.
Mindi was never really raised that way. She was raised to be polite to others, but never really paid attention in her studies, preferring to let her mind wander. Mostly of all the places she hoped to visit one day. She wasn't even thinking of marriage as her mind was too busy thinking of other things. She liked being a free spirited person. Whether her father understood that or not wasn't really her concern. Even if it did bother her a bit... Right now she stayed put not wanting to even move a bit. Even if given permission, as she was near tears from the outburst.
Juan subsided his temper fit and sat back down to finish discussing what was started. He also wanted to get this over and done with as quickly as possible. "Sorry about that. Not sure what came over me." He sipped again to clear his mind before pushing his glasses up after they'd slipped from after pounding the table. "Anyway, I don't think we have any do we, dear?" Miranda slightly shook her head agreeing, while secretly not agreeing, without a say in the matter as he was the head of the household with all the decisions. That's how it's always been. The man of the house made all the important decisions without any permission of the woman to speak her mind. Even Mindi stayed quiet still not knowing what was going on.
Benjamin watched as everything began to claim down again. He looked at Miranda and knew that she seemed to have an opinion, but she either couldn't or wouldn't voice it. It didn't really matter to him, but it did seem odd. It could have been a custom for them or something. His own mother was an equal to his father. She had fought her way into her marriage. She was the strongest so she was given the right to marry his father. He was not going to be given that chance. he didn't even know if she was close to being his equal or if she was just going to be a pretty piece of decoration to walked around with him. He hoped it wouldn't be the latter. He didn't want or have a need from a wife that couldn't earn her stay.
"Very well, then I we shall summon a priest of each of our species to preform the ceremony. That is to insure that it is valid in each realm. Will that be okay?" Gabriel stated with a raise of his eyebrow. If that was so then things would be about complete here. It would be a relief to leave this place. "While we wait for the date of the ceremony to be arranged your daughter and our son may stay here." He said indicating with his hands to the house. "This will allow them to become familiar with each other. Since your daughter seems to enjoy Earth so much I would think she would enjoy here stay." He said as he look over at Melinda and then to her parents.
"Understood. I already have one in mind from our realm. A very good one I may add." Probably the only one that's been doing all the ceremonies all this time. He was very wise, but didn't look at all very old even after all passing centuries. "I'm not sure it would be wise for them to stay here..." Seeing as how his daughter was already in so much trouble. At least by him after she'd skipped the meeting or came close to doing so. Juan figured it was on purpose for ditching her duty, but he really had no clue.
After a somewhat pity look from his wife, he thought it over. "Alright, you both can stay, but you really need to stop all this daydreaming, missy." He meant it and hoped Mindi heard him even while sitting there like a statue.
Mindi really didn't want to talk to her father anymore. Her mother never defended her in these situations although she had kept her secret... And Mindi blew it for herself. She wasn't going to blame her mother or anyone else since she hadn't thought about what she was saying in the first place. Her fault for being so happy then. Now... She was staring into space at the garden, but toward the weedy part. She wanted the parents to leave so she could be at ease again.
"Very well then, I believe we are done here." Gabriel said with a smile. He pushed himself up out of his seat and offered a hand to Livina. She took the offered hand and stood up. "It was a pleasure to meet you both." She said with a slight bow of her head. "Benjamin, do behave yourself while you are here." She said as she looked over at him. She knew her son and that he would make some type of trouble if he could. "Thank you both for your time." Gabriel said before he began to led Livina out of the garden. They both left after that not wanting to stay any longer than they needed to.
Benjamin nodded at his mother because he knew if he would have spoke in would have come out rude. He didn't need his mother making a scene because of him. The Mason family was still there and he had nothing to do while here, but wait. He picked up a cup of tea and began to drink from it. He was a bit interested as to why both of the females of the Mason family acted as they did. He knew at least the daughter did not like it. She had stated that clearly with her actions of wandering off. She obviously liked to do what she pleased. That could have been a problem for him in the future. "I hope you have a safe trip back." Benjamin said as he lowered his cup from his mouth. The least he could do was wish them a farewell. Though he didn't even want to do that.
"I believe we are." Juan returned the words with a smile as well, pushing himself up from his seat. He also offered his hand to Miranda and she accepted. "See you later sweetie. Behave yourself." She blew her daughter a kiss before she and Juan walked toward the door of the house. "Nice to meet you all, too. Hope we didn't cause too much trouble for you." She wasn't sure if she was heard or not, but was still a bit worried about that. She was glad they seemed to have taken it well anyway. The two took off themselves after making sure no one was watching.
Mindi gave a small nod at her mother before returning to her sightseeing. She was still looking a bit upset from her father's words, but she'd get over it soon enough. She stood up from her spot at the table and walked to the edge of the hill as the waves could be heard crashing against it. Quite soothing for her as she climbed the tall fence to get a better look at them, swinging her legs over it to take a seat up there. She wasn't afraid of heights luckily.
OCC: Sorry this may have taken a bit to get up. My Grandfather had a stroke so we've been out and about trying to visit him and I haven't been able to make it to a computer for very long periods of time.
-------------------------------------------------
Benjamin nodded towards them while he drank his cup of tea as his sign that it wasn't any trouble to him. Though it was a lot of trouble, but it wasn't his place to say that it was a problem. He didn't need to whine to the Mason's about his personal feelings on this subject. Benjamin watched as they left and left their daughter behind just like his own parents had left him behind. He didn't like the fact that he had to stay here for an indefinite amount of time, but he knew he had to make the best of it some how. Benjamin set his cup down lightly on the table before he stood up and then pushed his chair back into the table. He watched as the girl walked up to the fence and sat on top of it. He walked towards her and up to the fence to lean against. It wasn't his idea of a fun time to try and make a friend out of an angel, but he knew he had to find something to like out of this or he would surely die from it. "My name's Benjamin by the way." He said as he looked out at the view with her.
((Sorry to hear that... Must be hard... Hope he's feeling better.
I've been through something like that in the past...))
"I'm sure you've heard mine already..." She was still kind of upset about what happened earlier with the yelling. She hadn't meant to stay out there that long, but she was enjoying herself and completely lost track of time. Her father scared her when he yelled like that. She continued to watch the waves as they rolled toward her from below as they calmed her.
Mindi wasn't sure what to say to a demon on the first day. She could apologize for bumping into him earlier... Though she wouldn't want to get him angry if it was rude and have him find out it was her... She could also apologize fer her father, but that would be awkward. She wasn't sure yet what this guy was like. This gave her an idea of something to talk about now. It was a start anyway...
"So... What do like to do during your free time? Any hobbies?" She was trying to be curious of how demons lived.
OCC: Again I'm sorry this has taken me so long.
"Yes, I have. It's Melinda." He said as he looked out at the scene in front of him. He wasn't really a fan of staring off at things, but it was better than shutting himself into his room to wait. Benjamin glanced up at her when she asked him if he had any hobbies. He didn't really have any hobbies that he knew of because he was usually busy helping with his parents work. "You could say that I like to read." He said with a shrug. That was about the best he could come up with. He didn't really think too much on what his hobbies might be. No one had really asked him that before. "How about yourself? What do you like to do?" He said with a small glance up at her.
