I agree, it was never as personal as Mene seems to be. I never got involved in the forums on Gaia, so maybe I wouldn't know all that much, but I do remember a definite change in the people.

i was left on gaia by all of my friends who grew
up and had to go to college and everything… it
really sucked. o n o so, i probably won't ever
leave gaia online. just let it sit there a bit~

i only ever got active in the general discussion
forum on gaia, and it was fun for a summer… then
it went terrible. it was hard to make friends and
talk to people on there… and stil sort of is. o n o

but yes! menewsha is a good change fromg gaia online,
even though it's a bit tougher to get used to~ i'm
still waiting on my art to be priced, so i can get

Yeahh-- the friends I did leave there, I gave my email to. Just to keep in touch. They did eventually end up cutting off contact though when life came along. It happens. //shrugs

Oh, alright. Well, it's quite different on here then, lol. Most forums are at least semi-active for the majority of the year. During summer and over events, however, is when we get bustling crowds in forums. Those are always nice, I love events here.

Haha, yeah, I thought the site was a bit of a maze to me when I first joined. You'll get used to the set-up eventually, I'm sure. ^^ Nice! When I had more time, I ran an art store for a while. There's a lot of business in art stores, good luck with your sales!

Oh it is so much fun! I don't remember if Gaia had events, but Menewsha puts up an event store and a whole forum just for contests and handouts for some of the major events. Typically there's also a separate currency and different items you can buy with that, too... Probably sounds confusing. Sorry, haha. ^^;; It's really not hard to get the hang of after reading through the event FAQ when one comes up.

I wouldn't mind at all! My art was always on the cheap side, but only because I kept to photoshop doodles :3

Eoin; Wll, it depends. You mean as if to sell your art? Or as if to share it or keep it on your profile? There are quite a few ways to go about sharing your art... I've always just linked to my deviantart or photobucket accounts.

From what I saw with the drawings, I wouldn't assume that. I actually prefer buying drawn art as opposed to graphic art on here, probably because most of the shops I used to pop into sold graphic stuffs. I don't know if that's the case anymore, but I'd say people would be up to buying drawings from you.
Besides, they're good. ^^

As for posting it, I'd just say. Go into the art post forum and give them a link there... I don't frequent that part of the forums, so I'm not all that sure if there's anything special that some people do.

just a lot of practice~ i've been drawing since
around the time i could talk. o 3o practice, and
lots of careful constructive critcism too~ it's good
to hear what you're doing right, but even more
important to hear what you need to change~ > u <

and your art is quite impressive! o u ob i'd say
all that needs to happen is a little bit of clean up
work, but drawing with graphite {/and shading it
to boot!} is always a little messy~ = u = very

I happen to love the roleplaying forum, I've frequented it since I've joined.
I actually decided to start up a thread in discussions to get into other parts of the site more, since I'm usually just in that section of the site, haha.

I think currency is pretty abundant, but I have the hardest time saving it up. I'm attempting to save up and go to the market place for a specific CI, but it's rather difficult. ^^;; 10,000 gold is just too much! That's good for just being active a week, lol, but word count is definitely helpful with that.

I'll go give the shops a looksie right now and let you know what I think, lol.
I think most art is around the same price, so it's really going to be up to you on what you want to try selling it for.
I know I started cheap and began raising prices after I got customers, but even then my pricing was kept low...

marionette on gaia and had to save up 16mil. the price
dropped to 15mil for a week, and i commissioned like
crazy and sold most of my inventory {/mostly commons}
and finally got it… but if i had done that over a long

a similar style, but didn't colour it, for about 1250..
so i'm thinking maybe 1500 - 2000? i don't want to scare
anyone off, but i also don't want to sell for too cheap

Yeah, what college are you gonna go to Arc? I'm wanting to go to BYU Hawaii or BYU, but my parents are pushing me to go to SVU....probably because my chosen majors and minors would best fit that school...any ideas?

And just a question: how does one earn as much money as you do so fast? I get maybe forty or gold pieces posting stuff like the aforementioned history on the progression of anime....

I'm striving for Boston University, but UPenn and MIT are also so eye catching that I'll be applying there, too...
I received an in-state tuition scholarship for test scores, though, so if I attended one of the three big state universities here, I'd get a fourth or so off of tuition. I don't really know where I'll end up, but I do really want to go to Boston.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier, but I'd agree with you.
I'd say anywhere from 1500-2000 is fair pricing for what you do. ^^

part of college apps now. they want someone who
will get invovled with the world after they're out
of college~ = u = i have a brother who had a friend
who beat a 4.1 gpa student with a 33 act score to
a scholarship because he had extracirriculars in his
application~ his friend is smart too, but it wasn't
nearly as perfect as the other… but it goes to show
that involvement pays off! o u ob

i had to take the act, and i got a 30~ that's 6
points off the total~ translated into sat,
i was in the 1990 area. o u ob looked it up uuber
quick~ i'm sure you'll do fine! just don't stress
over the test, as crazy as that sounds. don't take a
prep course that runs close to the test either. just
brush up on everything a couple months in advance,
then for at least the month before, just chill. it
worked for me so super well. x u x

and yes, major flaw in the scholarship. x u x i can't
afford that much a year~ lol and even with the pell
grant and the president's award and such, it'll still
be around 17k a semester {or tri mester, can't remember}
