Sabine dropped her overnight bag with a happy sigh. Sure, she'd been up since practically the crack of dawn, but it was always worth it to spend her weekends with her best friend. Especially since the place she was staying was always so gorgeous. Even if there could be quite a few people around.

"Hey Bee," Rogue called with a grin. Sabine waved briefly to her, grinning back. Ah yes, she liked these people.

Cameron grinned when she saw Sabine.

"There you are, Bee," she said, going over to hug her friend. "What took you so long?"

"Traffic," Sabine said with a groan. "And an early morning crisis, Pepper had to rescue me." She shook her head.

"Poor thing," Cameron said sympathetically. "Well, you're here now, you can settle in and everything."

"Thank goodness." Sabine grinned, and her grin widened a bit when she saw who all was around. "Aw, look, I get a welcome party."

"What can I say, everyone around here likes you," Cameron replied, grinning back. "Come on, let's head up to my room and get you settled in." She grabbed Sabine's bag with her power and gestured for her friend to follow.

Sabine followed her up to the room they shared when she stayed at the mansion. And then she settled in, helping keep track of some people and generally just relaxing around the mansion.

At least until another visitor showed up a little before dinner time.

Tony Stark strolled in as if he belonged, which was true. And then he stopped dead in the kitchen when he spotted Sabine, the suitcase armor thunking to the ground.

"You!"

"You!" Sabine stared at him, looking completely shocked.

Cameron blinked. Well, that was unexpected.

"You... know each other?" she ventured cautiously.

"I'm her boss."

"No, miss Potts is my boss," Sabine said primly. "I occasionally have to ride herd on him and the rest of the Science group," she told Cameron. "I come here to get away from SI!"

"You're not a mutant," Tony said, frowning at her. "I would know if you are, and you're not."

Cameron just watched the exchange.

"I see what's going on here," she finally said as it dawned on her. "Tony, it's Friday. You're never here on the weekends. Sabine is here practically every weekend with me."

"This is why you're never available on weekends?" Tony raised his eyebrows at Sabine.

"Does it matter?" Sabine asked, rather exasperated that work had followed her to her home away from home.

"Well Peps has sure complained a few times," Tony said. "Explains a thing or two."

"Tony, why are you here?" Cameron asked, curious. "I've never seen you come around on a weekend before, and I live here."

"Professor said something about lessons," Tony said with a shrug. "Figured a weekend would be best when there isn't class for the rugrats."

Cameron raised an eyebrow.

"Never stopped you from showing up on Tuesdays before," she pointed out.

"Tuesdays are good, but Jean's not available on Tuesdays, nor is the professor," Tony said with a shrug. "And apparently I'm at a point where they think I need to stop blowing shit up with my brain." He grinned.

Cameron snorted.

"I reached that point when I was fifteen," she said, smirking a bit. She knew he'd know she was teasing.

Tony stuck his tongue out at her in an oh-so-mature response. He did pause, however, when the professor summoned him gently.

"Alright, gotta go, I'll see you later." He ruffled Cameron's hair playfully as he passed.

"Hey!" Cameron said, trying to duck under the hair-ruffling. A pillow flew off the couch and threw itself at him.

Tony batted it away with a snicker and went to go find the professor.

Sabine looked after him for a moment before she sighed. Guess she was stuck with having him around on non-work days too. Her stress level had just gone way back up.

Cameron heard the sigh and turned back to Sabine. She could see Sabine was less relaxed than before, and she nudged her friend.

"Come on," she said, "let's head up to my room. Or we can see if anyone is out by the pool, if you want."

"Pool, I think, before dinner," Sabine said. "Although I'm not going in today." Just in case she had to do anything with/for Tony.

Cameron's expression dimmed a bit.

"Why not?" she asked. "You're usually all for getting in the pool."

"Don't feel like it today, that's all." Sabine shrugged. "We can still get some good sunlight if we go out now, without getting burned."

"Alright," Cameron said, a bit reluctantly. She knew Sabine wasn't telling her everything, but she wasn't going to pry.

Sabine headed out to the pool and found a spot to lounge and try to relax again. The kids at least were having a good time, which she did appreciate.
