Ladies and gents, boys and girls... and those still not sure or not covered in the previous categories, i have an announcement:

As of 2pm today, its now almost 4am, i will be off camping and 4x4ing with my best mate. There is a DVD shoot happening there too apparently, so ill be taking my camera and getting plenty of pics and stuff! But this means that for at LEAST three days i will not be online to accept any contest entries or answer any questions!

ALSO I am limiting the time frame for the photo entries to the end of next week. who ever is in it by then will then have a week of voting and the winner announced!

oh gee, well Sora will TRY to get more people to enter cause Sora seriously doesn't wanna be the only one entering.....Sora doesn't see that as fair XP

well, I would like to enter a photo contest, but one of my few personal rules for going online is no photos to anyone that I don't know in real life ^.^'''' so, I really just can't do the contest, sorry >.< but if it's a photo contest for something else I'll definitely enter :)

EDIT: oh, the whole thing about posting your own picture might have scared away some other people as well thought ^.^''''' well then, I'll just keep an eye on this thread :)

Thanks LaVida, and dont worry, i understand your concern, and its ok. This whole thread is about posting pictures of yourself, but with a side focus on the contest too. BUT ive stipulated that you dont HAVE TO post pics to partake in the thread if you dont want to, so feel free to hang around and chat away with people!

Yeah, Menewsha has a smaller active userbase than another site that comes quickly to mind but shall remain unmentioned. There are usually specific times when it becomes active, usually the peak times in the US i find it is most active, but being in Australia, that makes it quite hard to get on at the right times more often than not.

Hahaha, got some great photos from the weekend, only one actually of me though, and thats from the photographer testing out my camera when he was checking it out. After talking to him about cameras and stuff partway throught the night, i think ive decided finally that i need to upgrade to a really decent DSLR camera finally... ill keep the one i have as a happy snapper back up if i have to!

oh yea, those work better. Sora loves his camera phone...........but it's nice having a good camera Sora got awhile ago XP

A D(igital) SLR camera is basically the big flash professional looking ones with the big lenses that you see. I think ill end up getting a Canon 500D, itll cost me about $1500ish at the moment, but by the time i have the cash it should have dropped more. theyre 15.1MP which is double what i have now!

Until then, ill stick to my Canon Powershot TX1 and its 7MP! Its an awesome little happy snapper thats slightly bigger than a deck of cards!
