Well, Sora thought this would be a great debate because Sora's sure almost everyone has tried either or, and Sora didn't see any search results for this (heh heh ^^')....so the ultimate debate:

Do you guys like M&M's or Skittles?!

Skittles are better because they have different flavors.

M&M's are cruel...They have different colors, but they all taste the same. ;-;

True, true. But sometimes M&Ms are good if you feel like chocolate, but they tend to make me feel sick if I have too many :P so I guess they are cruel :rawrmayor:

M&Ms are a crunchy, chocolate treat! I love them more than skittles. Although skittles do have their merit with different flavors and their lovely chewiness... hmm... on second thought, that's a hard thing to choose; chewy and flavored or crunchy chocolate? I suppose it all depends on an individual's current mood in the end.

Ahh, but with Skittles, you might not like some flavours too much! :O Personally I only really like the purple and red ones, but you can't go wrong with chocolate. It's M&Ms for me anyday! :drool:

Actually, Yumi, Skittles no longer uses gelatin in their candy. I could probably find an article if pressed, but I really don't want to unless absolutely necessary, as my internet hates me. The only kind that contains animal products at all is the Smoothie kind, which are a bit funky-tasting anyway.

Skittles are definitely my favourite, though to be fair I can't eat M&Ms anymore (but even when I could, Skittles won). I wish they were a bit softer, though.

Oh my gosh, I never realised they ever had gelatin! :shock: When did the switch happen, do you know? I'd hate to think I've been eating gelatin sweets all this time! :gonk:

Apparently not even Wiki knows when the switched happened XD But I think I remember hearing it was during the late 90s. As far as I know, they've stopped using shellac as well and instead use an edible wax, much like what is now being more widely used on produce.

I don't really like candy based on flavor and sugar. Which is most of it.

But I love peanuts. So I have to go with M&M's.

I don't like peanut butter though :x

Gah...SKITTLES all the way!!!

Why?

1. They last longer in your mouth
2. They have a distinct flavor representing fruit
3. You can eat multiple and have even more of a variety of flavor by combining them
4. They are not as messy as M&Ms.
5. If I wanted Chocolate, I would buy Ghiradelli, Dove, or any of the other actual delicious chocolate
6. They are colorful.
7. For every different bag of M&Ms out there, there is an alternately different bag of skittles as well, so different types of M&M's just don't cut it.
8. The commercials are way better than the utterly ridiculous M&M commercials

I like chocolate because they don't add flavors to it.

Or peanuts.

I'm not a fan of "fruity" candy like jolly ranchers or starburst or skittles.

But to be fair to skittles, they are fantastic when dissolved in vodka.

You can choose the flavour you want to chew on from an assortment, and M&Ms? They're all chocolate. No change in taste, you get tired of eating it more quickly. Plus, chocolate's just an overdone flavour in general. Sweet, yummy, I like it, but I much prefer skittles. With skittles, it's like, "Hmm, should I buy the original, or the more tangy kind?" *purchases original* "Let's start with lemon!" you get to choose.

And choosing is good. :')

You can never stop eating chocolate. Besides, if I eat too many skittles I get a massive headache and it's all too sweet.
M&Ms are a simple treat that I like to eat.
