some of my favorite cookies to make are butter cookies. I don't know what they're officially called but my family makes them for Christmas every year. And it usually involves making a whole lot of dough and separating it out and putting food coloring in each of the separate sections so we have tons of colors. Then we just put them into a cookie gun and make multi colored designs. They're pretty yummy. not too sweet though.

Cookie gun? This sounds incredible. What is it?

but much more colorful the way my family makes them. this set calls them spritz cookies. I've always just called them christmas cookies since that's when we make them.

the worst part is that those cookies are addicting! they're not soooo sweet that they make you stop for milk or something.. they're.. savory... so you just keep eating them until a whole tray is just about gone >.<

they so are but they're so good! I normally make them as gifts for people and give them a small tin of those cookies and a gift card.

Cute! I always bake people gifts too. I'm usually broke, see, so I don't buy gifts, I bake them.

i always feel bad just baking. So i try and include a gift card to some place I know they like. Or I make people baskets. Like one year I made movie baskets with different sorts of popcorn, milk duds, redlines, whoppers and movie tickets. And this last year I made ice cream themed baskets with topping and ice cream bowls and a scooper. This year I'm not sure what to do.

it depends how well i know the person definitely :P most people do get the baked goodies and a gift card :P but i like to give people I know well some fun gifts.

I was thinking cupcake themed gifts this year :) mostly because I found these cupcake tupperware things so I can make my bf cupcakes, decorate them and everything like normal and put it in this container so one can be packed in his lunch.

Tupperware is very awesome. We have a whole bunch because my mum was a saleswoman for them a few years back.

yeah. I have glass sets. I love them so much. mostly I just love cooking stuff so I guess that's what I end up giving people a lot of the time :P like my mom is getting this ceramic cooking set. ceramic is so awesome. so easy to clean. I kind of want to buy myself the same set i got her.
