Oh! The events don't cost anything, but the Even Store opens up. Every time the Event Store opens, it means that new commons will be released. During the event, the items are half-off, so people want to buy them during that time. Once the event is over, the items are distributed throughout the stores at the regular price.

Ohhhh, okay.
I just thought since everyone was talking about saving gold they meant to be in the event and I was like "But it never costs to play in any event I've been in D8"
