Hello and welcome to my fitness journal. I was going to buy a physical journal but I couldn't find any I liked. Not to mention, a journal is pretty pricey. Rather than dropping $20 on something I'll eventually toss, I figured I would make my own little workout diary on here.
A bit about me. I've been trying to work out since last year. I have lost weight (yay) but I haven't gotten fit. My boyfriend's family reunion is in about 3-weeks and I really want to look decent. His one cousin is super model skinny and, yes, I'm prone to jealousy. I know I won't get as skinny as her, but I'm hoping to be physically stronger.
Tools of the trade? I have Wii U Fit, a yoga mat, an 8-pound medicine ball, two 5-pound weights, and a foam roller. I own a Fitbit Flex to track my steps. I have some helpful apps on my phone:, 30 Day Fitness (workout challenges), Calm (meditation), Sworkit Lite (quickie workouts), MyFitnessPal, Plant Nanny (drink water app), The Fabulous, and Fitbit. I also have Kayla Insines' Bikini Body Guide and a plethora of guides the Popsugar Active, Kayla, Emily Skye, and other Facebook pages share.
I'm not backing down this time. I will keep on my routine. And I will need your support, suggestions, and love. So, please, feel free to post in here!
Garrus plush (estimated arrival: end of month)
Garrus mug (purchased once I've completed the 30 day challenges am get to week 5 of the BBG)
Mass Effect: Homeland comics (purchased as I've been pretty much keeping up with my water and 30 day challenges; also been meeting/almost meeting walking goals)
I haven't wandered into this sub-forum in a while!
Good luck with your fitness journey!
I am doing my best to be healthy throughout this pregnancy. My weight hasn't really fluctuated, it was steady for a few months. Now, I'm gaining weight, and it's all baby, lol!
I noticed that the family reunion was in a few weeks when you posted this. How was it??
Good luck with the fitness, Xavi! I never tried using a fitbit, but me and my mom did a diet thing for a while last year. I haven't done it since moving out, but dancing and doing abs made the biggest difference to me. Eating healthy sadly didn't make any difference at all.
I don't have one yet but I have my phone show me my steps! I have the desire I just don't have the motivation anymore xD; PCOS and Fibro make it damn near impossible so my motivation is shot xD;
Sorry I don't have a Fitbit either. The best thing that I can pass on to you as portion control. I'm diabetic and I have to really watch what I eat but the best thing that helps me is eating the smallest portion that satisfies me. And drinking water while I'm eating. You'd be amazed what a portion actually is. Good luck sweetie ping me anytime you need motivation or just to chat.
I don't have a fitbit. I ended up gaining almost all of the weight back after losing twenty pounds.
I need to get back into exercising, but my chronic illness and pain makes it hard. TT TT
