Just something I did for class. I got 10/10 for some reason but it's the only poem in my life I've ever done.

So the voice in my head
says “It’s just like before.�

And the voice in my head
says “Don’t open the door.�

But my heart says “Go on.
He’s waiting for you.�

“This time he’s changed.
It’s like he’s brand new.�

My body disagrees.
“He’ll do it again.�

It recoiles with fear.
“It’s just a matter of when.�

“The heart is all wrong.�
My soul wisely sings.

I fly far away,
with my new set of wings.

It is very good.
It also has a nice, clear theme.
