and a bit Linn? hahaha. Oh, understatement of the YEAR. Literally. I just didn't realize how drunk I was till truth or dare time hit.

I had nothing to do on New Years Eve - my mom and aunt were working, my brothers were out, and my other aunt went to a party. So I just sat around, watching the WIG drop on Bravo, and had myself a modest glass of tequila. :D

But yeah. Uneventful. My aunt was in the Mummers Parade on New Years this year, though! :D She was a fairy, dancing in the Vaudevillains brigade of the Comics. I DVR'd the parade, but I haven't seen if she was taped or not yet. :ninja:

she is talent. I love her voice!

haha. i was actually at a parent's house (friend's house) with no alcohol. if i'd been at home probably would have had a glass of champagne. but nothing for me this year.

That's awesome Facade, your aunt seems really cool!! And I LOVE that people do Mummer's Parades! It reminds me of still wassailing or doing morris dances!!

I'm deciding on whether or not I want to do Mummers next year. :ninja: Now that my aunt's in, I have an easy ticket in as well!

(It's infamously hard as HELL to get in the parade unless you're literally born into a Mummers family. It's getting easier these days, but it's still quite difficult.)

As far as I know, there are only a few meetings before the actual performance. I mean, there are actually a lot of meetings... But they're mostly for assembling your own costumes and helping others with those, etc. And then there are days set aside specifically for dance practice and whatnot, too. :P But yeah, I don't know if I'd do it. I'm a bit too lazy for parade stuff these days. :roll:
