Akasha: I've never seen it before now.
MintyRey: We're going between that and a Christmas Story. So not really watching it in its entirety.

Working at Suncoast killed any love i had for A Christmas Story, I watched that movie far too much and now it's pure hate.
Candy is pretty awesome, homemade candy even more so, *noms a bunch of homemade fudge and cashew brittle*

MintyRey: A Christmas Story is kind of old to me at this point. I could live without it.
Akasha: That stinks. Though one year, we almost gave one of my brother's the leg lamp and I remember seeing it in a Suncoast.

Yeah, I think they sell the leg lamps at walgreens now, and well, bitterness to that movie. I'm not that found of christmas movies, though a friend just pointed out that Die Hard is a christmas movie, with lots of spolsions!

The old claymation rudolp freaks me out now, and would rather have Die Hard. Though the mythbusters marathon is pretty awesome.

I've gotten into a debate about James Cameron's Avatar again. Colonel Quaritch was an epic fail on James Cameron's part, as in, he was meant to be a monster on par with Hitler and Stalin, but he ended up being seen as a badass loved by many, if not all- Especially by the people who disliked the Na'vi, like me.

That sounds... Oddly fitting. I HATE beings portrayed as superior to humanity in every which way, and the Na'vi were certainly like that. Humans in the movie were portrayed as racist and arrogant, but the Na'vi were so utterly lacking in empathy that they came off looking every bit as arrogant and racist as the humans. They never emphatised with humans, even as their enemies, so as to comprehend why they were the way they were. And "there was no conflict between different Na'vi tribes", my arse! To my knowledge, Native American tribes fought one another as often as they fought the White settlers. They don't curbstomp humans, their sapient planet does; a sapient planet which prefers to baby the things that live on it. Watching this movie made me appreciate the endless need for innovation that makes up the human nature. Don't the Na'vi wonder how their planet actually works?
... Sorry, thinking about a movie with such a ham-fisted message always makes me rant like this.

Aww...I am sure it isn't intentional, Mon.
I get ignored a lot in fast paced threads. Sometimes I get ignored in really slow threads too.
Moderate threads are usually the best ones and I am less likely to get ignored in. ^_^

I can't find stuff to post much-period. I'm a lurker by nature, that's why I feel the need to "cheat" to make gold by buying a CI and then selling it in the exchange right away.
