Is the only way to earn gold by posting on the forums? Or is there some other way I've yet to find out?

Our gold earning is completely different to what you're used to on Gaia, too.

There you get a set amount for that particular post, regardless of whether the post is 5 paragraphs or just 1 emote. Here, if you write 5 paragraphs you get a nice amount of gold, where as 1 emote will earn you nothing at all. Because our gold is earnt per character.

There's spam rules in place because of that, so need to bear that in mind, but also, there's no earnings drop-off like there is on Gaia. You're still earning just as much for your posts at post #30 of that day as you did for post #1

You can also earn gold playing the flash games. It's got it's Pro and Con however.
Pro: A decent sized profit per attempt at a game.
Ex. Attack of the Fan Girls is my favorite. It's a pretty simple game that can get you 100+ gold in one go depending on your score either at game over or upon clearing it.
Con: You can only earn 250 gold daily in games.

Earning via posting has no such limit and is in my opinion the more interesting and interactive way to go about it.
As stated above the longer (and thus more thoughtful and engaging or helpful) the post the more gold you'll be awarded for it.

I simply like posting on any thread for as long as I can understand and can relate to the topic being said Like I'm doing now! And RPing can get even more gold, around 30+ per post, if you can post a decent sized post :) And I find writing letters on the topic 'Letters that you can't send' earns quite a lot of gold! XD

and menewsha has double gold days, each time one of the monthly contribution items are released
you will see people spelling out every little thing on those days, it's a great way to pile up the goldies!
