I graduated and couldn't find any history teaching jobs... so... came here and now am teaching English... Kansas is my home ;) Denver Broncos are my team. Miss my grandma's cooking ;)

I don't know how bad my student loans will be...not good. I know I'm over $50,000. And my interest on a few is absolutely terrible. :C

Let's just say, don't go after your dream job if it is a job that is hard to get. Go after a job you are interested in but matches your personality. And isn't flooded with other employees already such as history teachers.

So.. Don't be a teacher? v.v

Be a teacher if it is something you really, really want to do. However, it is a lot of money to become one and you don't get paid much as one. And you are expected to use your own money to improve your classroom.

Seriously? v.v Ugh... So I can't be a music teacher or a childs teacher, I can't be an interpreter, I Won't be a nurse... Ugh...

A music teacher maybe... if you decide to be an elementary teacher... get a double degree with the second in ESL or special needs.

It would, but ESL and the one where you work with special needs kids are highly sought after. They don't have enough teachers. Once you get your foot in the door, the chances of being hired are higher.

It would be a degree that is highly sought after... but so is accounting. Accounting is something I am tempted to switch to since it pays better, fits my personality better, and has a shortage of workers right now.
