In my line of work I go one on one with a lot of women who would lack the life skills some of us would take for granted. Computer skills, cleaning, organizing, etc. I was wondering if anyone has read anything that would be beneficial to someone whose moving out on their own again and lack core skills to make it on their own.

That is an interesting question. I work in a bookstore and I get similar questions quite a bit. I can make a few suggestions, but there can actually be a bit of an age range for some of the titles.

For example: Help My Apartment Has A Kitchen!(ISBN:9780618711758) is a great cookbook for people will little to no cooking experience. Starting Out (ISBN: 9781552857069) is also a cookbook, but it has all kinds of great tips on keeping food, cleaning, and laundry. But, these titles are mainly targeted towards young adults (late teens, early twenties).

Some age neutral titles include:

For Cleaning

Home-Ec 101: Skills for Everyday Life (ISBN: 9781440308536)
The Don't Sweat Guide To Keeping Your House Clean (ISBN: 9780786888849)
10,001 Ways to Declutter Your Home on a Small Budget (ISBN: 9781602399525)

Money
Pocket Idiot's Guide to Living on a Budget (ISBN: 9781592574353)
Easy Money (ISBN: 9781926583273)

General Self-Help Stuff

The Gift of Fear (ISBN: 9780440226192)

You can find most of these at any bookstore.
