Selene Alcotte wiped her mouth with the back of her hand, throwing the dead corpse of a werewolf onto the ground of the alley. Everything was deserted here, not that any humans would dare come past the bar that lay a half-mile ahead of here, for fear of such creatures like her.

A vampire.

It was out of fear of what they might find once they got past the town's last lighted area, aside from her own home, some two miles away from the heart of the town itself. And their assumptions were true - broken windows of old stores and deserted, unkempt homes, corpses littering the alleyways and some select streets; only some results of the war that was taking place.

Not that they would know about that, either.

It was a struggle for dominance between the last two superhuman races now; as she liked to think the vampires would win, with their graceful and intelligent ways, level-headed and well thought-out, and the nasty werewolves, with their short-tempered and ruthless, bratty decision-making skills. The vampires were always having to clean up their messes, having to go through and wipe the memories of the humans who had seen and possibly told too much. It was time for it to end.

The rising sun began to blind her as she went over the hill; it was too much for her sensitive eyes. The sunrise was like a timebomb to her, it was only a matter of time before she began to feel weaker by its rays. She wouldn't burst into flames if she didn't seek shelter, but it would most definitely help.

She ducked into a broken-down convenience store as she made a split-second decision, deciding to wait until the next nightfall to return to her home. It wouldn't do her any good to walk out there so much weaker, so vulnerable. Little did she know she was about to be attacked.

The sound of a slight movement reached her before the body did, crashing into her and sending her to the floor. A hiss escaped her lips as they slid, her arms trying to find purchase on the heavy body.

Whether you want this werewolf to be you is totally your decision.
