Sun peaked over the treeline and into Jeff's eyes. He had his back to one of the roller coaster posts an the girl zombie was curled up, tucked under his arm. Jeff got a new feeling from this... he really like this new girl zombie. If only he knew her name.

Just then she started to stir, awaking from her deep thoughts. She then looked into Jeff's eyes.

"What should we do now?" Jeff asked

Jennifer didn't know how to respond, so instead she wanted to start off the day by practicing some of the living langauge. "N...No...Now." She smiled and stood up. She put her hand on the post Jeff had been leaning against. "Wh...What?" She slapped the post while speaking.

Jeff laughed as the column started to ring, sounds waves echoing back and forth inside of the column.

"CALL" "UMMM"

"COL-UMN"

"Column"

Jeff pronounced the word like he was talking to a child. He hoped that she would understand

"Call...Umm... Column!" Jennifer started jumping up and down again. She was excited, but instead of squeals she grunted. They continued on for most of the day learning new words: fense, building, rollar coaster, pole, flag, ground, sky, and even each other's names. Though Jennifer only pronounced part of her name to Jeff, Jen had a nice ring to it. Rather than keep trying with Jennifer, she decided to take a break.

For a while they just played with nibbles. He rolled over wanting more attention, so she tickled the dog. At one point they got a little too rough, and part of her pinkie came off. Not too much of a problem though, she didn't even know what that finger was useful for anyway.

The sun started setting, and she found herself thinking about the men from before, their boomsticks. About how once a zombie gets hit with one, not many get back up.

Jennifer started shaking her head, saying night with a trembling voice. She wanted to find shelter, one where the living wouldn't come and kill them in their resting state.

She saw a big circular structure, with many small rooms. Maybe this would make a good place to rest?

Jen and I started to walk over to this big circular structure.

A faded sign read "<-- FERRIS WHEEL" An arrow pointed to the entrance of the ride.

"ANOTHER ARROW!!!" yelled Jeff. "Arrow?" Jen asked puzzled. Jeff ran to the sign and placed his hand at the start of the arrow. "This! This is an arrow! Best thing to follow when you are lost is an arrow! They always know where to go!"

The walked down the path and got on the platform next to the Ferris wheel. Jeff hopped into the carriage first, Jen followed in suite. The sat there for a few minutes... Just waiting....

"Go?" Jen said. Jeff looked around, searching for something. He climbed over Jen to get out of the carriage. He walked next to small pedestal with a bunch of switches on it. He started messing with all the different switches and knobs. Nothing seemed to happen, so Jeff took his fist and slammed into into the big red bottom that have "Emergency Stop" on it.

Frustrated, he turned back to Jen and shrugged his shoulders.

Jennifer stared at the buttons, but they didn't matter to her. Instead she opened up the door to the small room and took a seat inside. Thankfully zombies couldn't feel the cold metal, nor didn't have to worry about cramped muscles, so curling up in one of these rooms might not be so bad. She sat inside, starring ahead. Looking at a bright flickering orange light cascading off the forest beyond the park.

Jeff followed suit. He walked in after he and sat next to the door. Nibbles stayed outside of the carriage on the platform. He was going to keep watch of anyone that cause them harm.

Jeff followed Jen's line of sight and spotted the orange flickering light. "What is that?" he asked. Jen shrugged her shoulders.

Jeff continued to watch the light.... Before too long he was dousing off....

Something felt different. Jennifer awoke to find the brilliant light coming alive right outside of the amusement park fence. As she got up she practically stepped on Nibbles, but was able to step over him in time. Nothing in the world matter apart from that light. She began walking. Mesmerized by it.

It was almost dawn, the sun was coming up, but only lighting up the purple, orange and grey sky. She didn't notice the charcoal limps around the ground. She didn't notice the burning smell that still hung in the air. All she saw was the light. And she wanted to look at it closer.

Jeff awoke to Nibbles barking. He got up to figure out what was going on. He looked around for Jen, but couldn't find her.

"Woof! Woof! Woof! Woof!" Nibbles was barking a good distance away. Then he saw Jen, walking forward into..... "woah...." Jeff said astonished.

He ran to catch up with Jen. Upon reaching her he grabbed her hand and stared into the pretty light. Together they walked forward, into the dancing orange light.

"Woof! Woof! Woof!" Jeff could hear Nibbles barking, but he paid no attention to it. He just kept walking.... It was so pretty.....

Jennifer and Jeff had exited the park and walked back where the forest had once been. Now only blaze was around them. Smoke and orange dancing light surrounded them, and they found themselves in awe. Jeff held out his arm, and found that the fire liked him, it even come up his torn shirt sleeve.

As she gazed into his eyes, she spoke for the last time: "You are beautiful."
