I'm not good on any one subject. It's all a matter of how fast I can look the info up online, lol.

A rock is an aggregate of one or more minerals; or a body of undifferentiated mineral matter

A mineral is a naturally occurring substance formed through geological processes that has a characteristic chemical composition, a highly ordered atomic structure and specific physical properties. A rock, by comparison, is an aggregate of minerals and need not have a specific chemical composition.

This might not count.. xD

Quote:
* Minerals are homogeneous, naturally occurring, inorganic solids. Each mineral has a definite chemical composition and a characteristic crystalline structure. A mineral may be a single element such as copper (Cu) or gold (Au), or it may be a compound made up of a number of elements. About 2,500 different minerals have been described.
* Rocks are made up of one or more minerals.

the diference is that a mineal is an exclusive well its amde only of one thing while rocks are made out of lots of things, also minerals are of most important on economy.
