It does look like a very exciting game and I like the community aspect of it plus I can see a few advantages to families moving on in time even though you don't play them. It would make it much easier to marry two in-game-born sims to eachother. On the other side: you'd miss out on a lot of their lives.

I'm also afraid that the system requirments will be insanely high. Just look at how much more you needed when moving from Sims 1 to Sims 2. It was staggering back then. Then again all the extra customising in game is rather tempting.

I guess I'll have to wait and see when it gets out. Until then I'll be looking forward for the final expansion pack for the Sims 2 come Fall.

I just don't look forward to spending my well earned cash on more repeat expansions like holiday/vacation/pets/clothing sets

Another thought...If sims 2 had 4 cd's to install, how many will sims 3 have? 8? xDD

I've been desperately awaiting a version of the Sims that hopefully fixes all of the glitches and the Vista issues. It took me two weeks to get the damn program to run. Fuck that!

I'm hoping this month's E3 will have previews of this. I've been dieing for more information, and EAXIS isn't budging.

Yep, I can't wait till Sims 3 is released! It is going to be awesome. The sims look so realistic...it is crazy. I just hope that I can run it on my computer. With all of my Sim 2 games, it is going to be pretty crowed! It will be interesting to see what all the expansion packs will include. ~I love my little simmies~

the neighborhood feature is just wonderful. finally i can go to OTHER sim's houses, and not worry about always catering to their needs. neighbors can feed MY sim for once.
the new sims themselves look more real and lifelike, plus they'll act like it to! i can actually make people i know and have the sim act like the real person, not just look like them. you don't even have to worry about downloading from paysites [i do it legally. pay sites are actually illegal soooo i go to paysitesmustbedestroyed.com ;D] or other weird websites.

I'm super excited I love the Sims. I got Sims apartment life expansion pack a little while ago. I thought it was only right since I moved into an apartment. Lol

But I can't wait for Sims 3. I hope it is out for x-mas then I will probly ask for it for x-mas.

I've herd though that you will only be able to use the install disk three times before the gameplay voids. (Not sure how to explain that. XD) As in, if your computer crashes three times or you've uninstall it three times you'd have to buy the CD again;;

Not sure if that's true though, still looking forward to the new sims!

That sounds awesome! And it looks really cool... But it's likely I'll just stick with Sims 2. I already spent my money on it, might as well just stick with it, you know? Maybe I'll ask for Sims 3 for my birthday or something, but I doubt I'll buy it on my own.

Let's see... The hard part is getting my parents to buy me the game. They already think that I buy too many Sims games.

I can reformat the computer that has the most RAM (My dad formated wrong last time) and have it all nice and clean for when the Sims 3 comes out. The only thing that worries me about my computer is the seamless gameplay. I think that my 4 gig of RAM should be enough.
