Zane is at one of his families hospitals working a job that he got because his family owns the hospital, he is a management personnel and he happens to hear that someone that was brought in from the poor part of town just passed away. He knew the pain of lossing patients and took a moment to collect himself, it did always suck losing a patient but it was a reality sometimes. He knew the doctors would do what they needed to. He finished up his work and got some water it was a long shift but he enjoyed having something to do. He knew that he'd hear about this from his parents as if he could have stopped it.

Erin rushes after the gurney carrying her father who had collapsed while at work her tears constantly blurring her vision "It will be ok father! You will be just fine, just hang in there!" She tries to reassure him knowing they should be able to help him since they are the best hospital after all. She paces up and down the hall waiting for news from the doctor when she hears the door open and rushes over to the doctor but stopping dead as she see the dire look on his face. "Doctor! How is my father! Is...is he ok?" She manages to sputter out. The doctor just shakes his head telling her he passed away on the operating table mid surgery. She falls into a heap on the floor wailing yelling out. "What did you do?!?! He should have been fine! It was only a small problem! If he was wealthy or a noble you would have saved him!" She stands grabbing the doctors collar yelling at him in sorrowful anger. "You killed him! Why didn't you save him! What was he not good enough to save? Is that it?!" All she could see was rage and pain her head buzzing not being able to think of anything all all.

Zane was on his way out and hears a commotion, he follows then sound until he can see the relative of the patient that just died yelling at the doctor. He called secruity in a stealthy move and contined on his way out. Secruity would escort her out after the doctor explained that the minor thing that happened had aggrivated a serious problem he had had fixed at another hospital and try as they might it was too serious for them to save her father. He sighed as he got into his car and headed off home where he knew he'd have some explaining to do for his parents though he knew they'd leave him to go to his own house on the property that was only slightly smaller then theres, they own a huge plot of land in the most beautiful part of town in his opinion.

While Erin screamed questions at the doctor security came up to them and pulled her off of the doctor. She wrestled trying to break free as the doctor tried explaining what happened and that they tried to do everything they could for her father but it had been doomed from the start. Erin just shook her head forcefully going limp in the security guards hands, they helped her out the door onto an outdoor bench and went back inside. "What am I going to tell mother? What are we suppose to do now?" Erin hefted herself up dragging herself back home to the shady poor side of town to explain what happened to her mother. The next few days went by in a blur Erin comforting her mother her, fathers funeral and trying to find work to fill in for her father as the provider for Erin and her mother. She used an old connection she had managing to be able to get the odd jobs here and there that no one wanted to do, some jobs being quite shady but Erin knew she didn't have the choice refuse.

Zane the few days after the death his parents as perdicted blamed him and left him be in his house to go to work and ponder what he could have done as they said. He did wind up going to the poor part of town to donate some money to the family that had lost a loved one. He was in the market and was looking for the girl that was escorted out by secruity hoping she'd be here he was sure she'd recognize him and be upset but he wanted to do something for them. The market was full of people of all kinds and he knew he was dressed too rich to be one of them but they didn't bother with him for the most part, he did hope she'd be here.

Erin said goodbye to the shop keeper that she had just delivered a package of something she would rather not know what was in it but it didn't matter since it was finished now. She stretched her sore body and looked in her bag trying to figure out where the next closest delivery was. Erin heard the murmuring of people start around her she cocked her head trying to listen in to see what was going on. She heard them talking about someone from the rich part of town wandering around the town sticking out like a sore thumb. As the whispers suddenly grew quiet she looked up seeing the rich pric who called security on her when she was at the hospital. She stormed over to him getting in his face. "What the hell are you doing here! You have no business around here! You might soil your precious shoes walking in our 'filthy' streets, Go back to where you belong in your mansion drinking your champagne!" Her face was burning hot with anger.

Zane didn't flinch when he saw her and smiled in a genuine way. "I'm here looking for you. I called secruity so that the scene didn't continue but you are still out of jail so clearly it didn't. I came here to do something nice for your family, it is clear that I am rich but I'm not snobby, I don't have to work though I choose to. I wanted to at least help pay for the funeral, you may have already had it. I'm not doing a good job here, okay lets just do this." He pulls his check book out and writes a check that is enough to pay the hospital bills and replace what they paid for the funeral and a couple thousand more. He hands her the check. "It's a real check to help your family out." He puts the book away and looks at her with kindness.

Erin listens to him as he tells her that he's not snobby and wants to do something nice for her family making her blood boil further. She snatches the check from him and rips it into pieces throwing it back into his face. "That's the problem with you rich people you think that you can just throw money at everything and it magically makes it all better again! We do not need your dirty money! I paid for my fathers funeral from the money he saved for us and I work hard for the money to support me and my mother! Just get back in your fancy car and go home to your mansion and leave my family alone! You have done enough damage here!" Her face was beat red her temper had gotten the best of her yet again.

He looks at her steadilyand nodded. "Okay fine. If you want a chance to earn some honest money come see me at the hospital and I'll give you a job where you can advance to better jobs and maybe find yourself in a better place. Until then I'll leave." he says and walks to his car and pulls away from the curb and drives off. He wasnt surprised about her reaction He got home and went to his room to grab a bathing suit and went to his indoor pool and jumped in to enjoy a swim.

Erin stood there in the street watching him drive away. "Who does he think he is coming down here trying to buy me off! I am not for sale!" She mumbled to her self as she kicked an empty can down the road going on to her next delivery. As soon as Erin had dropped off the package she walked out the door of the building only to have a group of men blocking her way leaving no space to go around them. "Excuse me I need to get through." She said trying not to start trouble but it seems that it found her anyways. "Hey your that delivery girl that was by earlier right?" One of the big guys said to her. "Ya I am...what of it?" She asked nervously. "Some of the product was missing from inside it and I think you took a little of for some kinda bonus for yourself." The large man stepped closer to Erin looking intensely at her. She knew there was no where to go she was already against the door that had locked behind her. "I didn't steal anything out of your package I don't even know what was in it! I swear!" Erin knew she was in hot water now. "I don't think I believe you and even if I did someones gotta pay for it." The man looked menacingly at Erin. "I don't have any money..." Erin said knowing that it wouldn't matter anyways. "Well if you don't have any money you will just have to pay me with your blood." The man said closing in on Erin.

As Erin came too she looked around her seeing that she was laying in the alleyway behind the building. Her head pounded and her side ached. She pulled herself up wiping the blood from her busted lip knowing she probably also had a black eye as well. Her mother was going to be so concerned about this. "Maybe I should actually think about his offer...it has to be better than this." Erin made her way home to tend to her wounds.

After his swim he called up his friends seeing about a night out on the town and they had plans made already. He did have masion to himself but didn't really feel like having a party, that wasn't him the most him and his friends do is go for a few drinks, maybe talk to some girls though he never took anyone home with him except his drunk friends if that was needed. He had a few days off and no one usually called him unless anything urgent happened. He realized that the only way she would get to him if she did was to go there, oh well secruity will tell him if she shows up at the hospital. He found himself in his private theater and sighed popping in one of his favorite movies and lounged in his spot about middle of the room, it gave him the best view he thought. He couldn't help but think about that girl, he admired the fire and motivation she had, though her manners were lacking she was interesting.

As soon as Erin made it home as predicted her mother was quite upset at her but she couldn't blame her she had just lost her husband and now she was terrified of losing Erin as well. Erin got cleaned and patched up deciding to take a trip down to the hospital tomorrow since it was her day off. Erin woke up early and dressed in the nicest pair of clothes she could find in her closet, if she was going to take his offer seriously she might as well look the part. She put on a pair of black pants and a dark green v-neck dress shirt, they had been hand me downs from her mother but it was the best she could do. She threw her long hair into a neat bun sighing when she into the mirror she looked pretty rough still from yesterday her left eye was black and blue, her lower lip was swollen and had a cut on it. Erin didn't own make-up they couldn't afford such things so she would just have to deal with going in there looking like this. Erin made her way to the hospital and as soon as she entered was escorted by security to their office, she sighed thinking maybe it was a mistake coming here maybe he was just trapping her by luring her here to have her arrested. She tapped her fingers waiting impatiently for her fate.

Zane gets woken up by a call, he wound up falling asleep in the theater so his back was a bit sore but he was otherwise okay. He picks up. "Sir that miscreant showed up at the hospital again." The secruity guard said. "Good get her a cold drink and some breakfast on me and I'll be there the earliest I can be. I offered her a job and I expected her to be there, and don't chase her off." He hung up and could almost see the guard flinch a little at his tone at the end and couldn't help but laugh. He got up and went into his room to get dressed in clean clothes after a quick shower and made a coffee to go and was on his way.

"Miss he said to get you some breakfast and a drink anything you would like?" he said clearly fazed by the end of the call, he did sound like he was woken up by the call. Why would he offer this poor girl a job? there was so many more qualified, rich people to employ. He followed orders nontheless.

Erin watched as the guard was on the phone and could help but snicker as he flinched his face grow a bit paler. He must have gotten an earful. When the guard returned to her and said that he had been told to provide her with a drink and breakfast she sighed knowing now exactly who that was one the phone. Of coarse he would offer her whatever she wanted thats what he does. "Just your biggest cup of coffee, black." She answered curtly she didn't take more than she needed and she didn't need food from him, coffee...yes she needed lots a caffeine if she was going to have to deal with him and these goons of his. Erin sat there in the office quietly drinking her coffee which was rather good and waited for him to arrive.

The guard nods and goes to get the coffee. He comes back and puts the coffee down on the table next to her, "It's from a brand new pot so its nice and hot." the guard says and sits in his chair. 10 minutes later Zane shows up and goes to the office. "I'm kind of surprised you showed up, follow me to my office and we'll talk." he said and walked towards his office not knowing if she would actually follow him, though it would be in her best interest to do so.

Erin sat there drinking her coffee and waited until suddenly the door opened and he walked in. "Well, surprise!" Erin remarked sarcastically following behind him to his office. As she walked in she sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk crossing her legs and turning to him. "So what is it you are offering me exactly?" She said suspiciously eyeing him.

He notices her look and isn't effected. "I wanted to help you get a job, whether it be here or somewhere where you won't get beat up for a small mistake. I did notice your injuries that you couldn't cover up. Someone caught up with you because of a small amount of something missing or a damaged item. Am I close?" he said. "What I'm offering is a job that doesn't have that possiblity and how does the posibility of $20 an hour sound? For a job that matches the skills you have or skills you want to learn, and the right to tell someone with a position to do something about any misconduct towards you, even if it's me, I know quite a few people that can help you find a job with all this and you can provide for your family as you want to."

Erin flinched looking away as he guessed exactly what happened to her face but her head shot up at the sound of 20 dollars an hour. She didn't really have to many proper skills but she was good at dealing with people. "Ok you got my attention what kinda job could I get with skills at dealing with people well?" Erin gave a dry chuckle. "Were you planning on having misconduct towards me?" Humor was something she reached for when she felt nervous.

"No, I'm here if you have any trouble with your supervisers, it's not secret a lot of rich people look down on the poor, and I'm here if you need someone to get them to stop. People skills, are a good start. Okay lets go over any skills you want to learn, anything you couldn't get experience with but want to?" he asked and sipped his coffee.

Erin thought for a moment about his question. "Medicine, I want to be able to help the people of my home town who cannot afford to come to fancy hospitals such as this." She answered confidently taking a long drink of her coffee. "How exactly do you expect me to learn these skills by the way? Are you gonna put me through school or something? I'm pretty sure no one would want to teach me personally."

There is a nurse working here that has never discrimanted and would teach you about medicine, it would take time but I could put you as her intern and you would be getting at least 18 an hour, I can pull some strings and get you 20 an hour but you would need to show hard work. I'll call her in and have her start showing you around if thats what you want I'd just need you to complete some paperwork so you are officially hired but you can be on your way to a good job and maybe move your family into a better neighborhood while still close to those you care about."
