She nodded and followed behind him. She would be sore for a few days after the sedatives wore off, but not enough to hinder her abilities and stop her from training him.

Ken walked out of the building and back onto the streets. He stopped, waiting for Ari to come out.

"So where are we going," he asked. "Lead the way."

"There's a place outside the village where we'll be getting you a weapon." She said with a nod as she started to walk the opposite direction of home.

Ken followed her, sticking his hands into his pockets and taking in the views. It was such a primitive place, villages and huts replacing the skyscrapers and cities he was used to.

Ari they walked for a bit until they reached a small round hut with a large square attachment in the back. She pounded on the door. "Old Lerios! Are you in there?" And old looking man came to the door. "Ah... Ari. Good to see you. And who's this?" Lerios asked, looking at Ken.

Ken peeked over Ari's shoulder to take a look at the balding man.

"Hey," he said. "I'm Ken, I'm not from here, and I need help."

He shrugged his shoulders in an I-bet-you-don't-get-this-every-day-but-still look.

The old man looked at Ari. "We need to get him a weapon. I've got no credits right now, but if you will get him a weapon and train him, I will man the shop for an accumulated 6 months." Ari said.

Credits? The word was not new to him in real life, but it was new in this context, used as money.

"Hey," he whispered to Ari. "What are these credits you speak of?"

"The TerraIncultan form of currency." Ari replied. "Of which I have none." She added. Old Lerios took a moment to think. "Deal." He determined.

"Oh," he replied. "Well, we use dollars and coins back on Earth. How do your credits look like?"

But Ari had already gone inside, so Ken decided to follow her.

Ari had heard his question, and once they were inside, she said. "I'd show you, but I'm broke. There are small gold marbles. They are 1 credit peice. There are bronze coins, they are 10 credits. Then there are larger gold coins. Those are fifty credits. The rest is paper currency going up in denominations of 5o credit." She explained.

Ken tried to take it all in. He would have to know the currency of this world if he was ever going to survive.

"1 credit marbles, 10 credit coins, and 50 credit coins. Then we go into paper money," he muttered over and over again, trying to memorize the currency.

As he walked in, he saw weapons of all shapes and sizes imaginable. There were large axes, screaming to chop off people's heads. Yet there were also swords like the ones Ari had. The swords ranged from big to small, the smallest seeming able to pierce one's heart. But there were also bows and arrows, delicate weapons made for graceful use, and spears screaming barbarianism. There were other weapons that Ken had never seen on Earth, and therefore could not describe.

"So," he started, hands digging into his pockets. "Which one's mine?"
