I like them in most every type of cooking. As long as they are not mix in strong flavour spices like... chilli, garlic...

I love garlic. Though I'm getting wary of it now since my dad likes it so much. His taste is going with his age though so something that is not garlicy enough to him is deathly garlic to everyone else. One must be wary when my dad grills food because it might be very strong in flavor.

I don't think garlic is necessarily strong...unless you go out of your way to put a lot in. Normally cheesy garlic mashed potatoes would be more mild.
