Team Cheesecake – The Hangout Thread

The subject that once made everybody's mouth water on the site of it is now back ; Cheesecake. Team Cheesecake is a hangout thread in which everybody is free to join and chat. Team Cheesecake originated during the Celes Paradi Event, when a cheesecake banner was placed on the front page of Menewsha. Since that event, Team Cheesecake events have been a reoccurance during the event thread. Hopefully, you'll enjoy your time spent here and on Menewsha, and come on in and enjoy the cheesecake with us!

This thread inspired Lenna to make cheesecake last time!

Maaan... Now I wish I had bought some cheesecake while I was at the grocery yesterday. I miss making cheesecake. If only I had a stirring slave when I made it. The material is just so dense... and so hard to mix with everything else under the recipe! DX

Ne, Lenna, do you use manual stirring powers or have a mixer involved in the cheesecake business?

Lenna is lazy and usually makes it from a box. ^_^;;; So she uses her manual stirring arm! Muwaah

Ooh! I do that too at times. XD;

Since there's this particular instant Cheesecake whose flavor is so different from my usual manual stir it cream cheese recipe. The instant one is subtle and sweet. The sourness isn't so obvious plus it's lighter. Maybe more gelatin than cream cheese... My usual recipe usually calls for two slabs of cream cheese. Such a pain to mix. X_x;

I have yet to figure out how to emulate the flavor. T o T;

Of the instant that is.

I like it more in a way.

It's no fun to eat cheesecake where after eating one half of a little cake, you're already full because of how heavy the cream cheese is.

I know. D: I think once I made it from sctrach and it only called for one bar of cream cheese. o3o Aw man, now I want me some cheesecake to nom on. XD Zweres, this is your fault! LOL!!

How are both of you doing? Enjoying the festivities?

I actually want to try the one slab type since it might have a different outcome and could be less of a hassle on the arm. I swear, my arm hurts like crap the next day... X_x;

Must look for another cheesecake recipe.

Thing is, I'm kind of scared to go for a one slab type since it might be just way too much gelatin. It's a pet peeve when I go out and eat cheesecakes in bake shops and cafes that are just too fluffy and light with a barely there taste of cream cheese.

I honestly wish I had the skill to make my own cheesecake ; but I suppose buying it would be good for now.

I always look for a happy satisfying luff after I eat or am eating. You know that warm, fuzzy feeling when you're eating something and you just feel really happy? YES. THAT.

It makes the eating all the more better.

If it's just hey, stuffing you but no happy feeling, it's kinda sad. It leaves you wanting for more but you can't go for more since you're so...stuffed and ugh. X_x;

Zweres, instant/ready to go cheesecakes are fairly easy! Milk, some water and presto! Then butter for the crust and you're good to do. ;3

Just follow the instructions and have some patience for it to 'bake' in the fridge!

I LOVE that warm fuzzy feeling I get when I make a cheesecake and then eat it and its the perfect amount of fluffles and creamy.

Mmmm... cheescake. Just thinking about the word, but reading the first page made me want some really bad! That KitKat just didn't hit it, but cheesecake... now that would. Make my grandma's recipe with just 3 of my modifications and were all set!(I put the crust in the oven for a few minutes beforehand, I put Lemon Juice or Almond Exctat in mine, and don't add the sour cream on top.)

Garah! Now I gotta get the fixings for some cheesecake when I go shopping! Practice I guess for the holidays since I think I'm gonna be making it or we aren't having one. :(
