I want to know what you think is the dumbest thing the victims do in horror movies.

Personally, I hate the idea behind "Dark room, Friends are missing, Strange noises coming from inside... Seems legit"
Or when someone freaks out and gives away their hiding place.

My brother and I actually made a list of things not to do in a horror movie.

• don't have sex
• don't do drugs
• don't be alone
• don't run upstairs
• don't go looking for the killer
• don't explore strange noises
• keep your health up- being sick leads to death
• don't taunt the killer
• listen to any weird voices, they tend to give pretty good advice.

thats a bit of our list.

Oh, and there is always don't go find the lead board when the lights go out. It's a trap.

Don't run into the woods. Don't seclude yourself.

Don't trip!

Attics and basements are a no-go

Don't EVER look in the mirror :lol:
Or behind you for that matter XD

Don't explore odd noises in your most revealing underwear.

A rather specific one from Friday 13th. Don't do a beer run, waking on your hands, when your friends are missing. And if you hear a scream after the mysterious disappearances of your friends and resolve problems by reading magazines then not only are you dumb, you also fail at friendship. And you die.

Don't yell out, 'Hello!' or 'Is anyone there?' when you're alone and you hear a strange noise. e___e

Do not, under any circumstance, follow the trail of blood. It leads to death.

Ugh women in horror movies are so DUMB!!!!!!! They go and check out all of the bloody dead bodies, and they choose to run into the wrong room or something. Some of them dont even try to escape the house that is haunted or try and kill their friend that is haunted. Honestly those movies scare the living shi out of my but some of them are completely stupid and the women and sometimes its men, are completely stupid. like really? Why would you run into the room where your friend died? Why wouldn't you try to escape? Why did you dance on a grave in the first place?

Why stop at stereotypical horror flicks? I usually talk back to the TV during biopics, or any story we already know the sad ending of. Like docudramas about John Lennon? 1980 starts to creep up, and I'm on the edge of my seat.... no! DON'T go home from the recording sesh! Crazy guy outside yr house, dude!!! D:

I'm the same way with Bible/passion flicks. Jesus!!! Don't go to Jerusalem! They're gonna KEEEEL YOOOU!

One of the biggest things that annoy me in horror films...the damn screaming. See a dead body? Scream. See blood? Scream. See something (squirrel, dog, etc) run past you? Screeeeeam. I'm like, what the fuck, seriously? Does it not cross their minds that screaming would lead whatever's out there hunting them they're trying to hide from right to them? Just shut up already! Especially if you're alone and you know you're alone aside from the homicidal maniac out there running around with a knife/chainsaw/spork! :headdesk:

It's very stupid to investigate/become a fan of monsters/serial killers.

-don't wear high heels
-don't wear mini skirts/dresses
-don't move to towns that are CURSED!!!!

and my personal favorite, DON'T LIVE ON ELM STREET!!!!!!!!!!!!

When they taunt the killer. Especially when those "big", "tough", jock guys do it. It's so obnoxious. And also when those kind of guys try to lead the group..so annoying. Don'tcha love it when the person holding the weapon also ends up dropping it? Seen that one too many times lol. You'd think these people would have basic survival instincts. <_<

Do not explore places that have been known for people mysteriously disapearing or dyeing. Live near a military testing site or old run down labratory. Do not stay the night in haunted places.

One of the biggest mistakes, is when the victim falls, and just lays there. They're not hurt, or anything, but they're watching the killer run towards them. I understand they're freaked out and what not, but who just lays there waiting to be killed?!

Few have weapons, and those that do have weapons seem to not know how to use so they are either useless or end up hurting one of their friends.

How about:

Keep your cell phone with you and fully charged at ALL times

Especially in those slasher movies where they should really just call the cops

Don't kill any hill folk children, be kind to hill folk when you first meet the, if they ask if your good cristian folk answer yes (its just safer)... in fact if you go into the woods and see hill folk just run, run back to your vehicle and never return.

If a place is closed or abandoned don't break in.

Keep your gas tank at least half full - if you are planning to drive some place rural, make sure the tank is full and you have a back up.

Also (for those lost footage movies)--

Don't try to prove the existence of ghosts, just don't.

Avoid corn! Corn seems to be the root of all evil. Corn fields may seem like a good place to hide but chances are what ever you are hiding from knows it like the back of their hand. Scarecrows are also probably going to kill you, or if something catches you they will make you into one.
