I really do not know. I gave it food, and it didn't want any, so it must not be very hungry. But I really dont know if its a stray, or has a family and just is roaming around. You know?

if it is a baby it probably hasn't had cat food yet and would need something different... have you tried milk even though it is not good for the cat..

No, no milk. We have canned food that I might offer to it, though.

It's kind of in between? Not really skinny, but it could use to put on a little bit of weight. It doesn't have very many fleas at all, though, and it's fur is rather soft.

it has fleas? You really don't want it around other cats if it has fleas..

It's not around my cat. lol My cat has been napping in the house since I tossed her in earlier when I saw the other kitty. I brought her out to meet it, but she didn't come into contact with it. I looked, though, and I honestly only saw one flea on it, and that was on its belly. It has white fur, so they'd be easy to see. But it's really easy to get rid of fleas.

Yes, you do. But it just takes one washing with flea soap and getting any knocked out or dead ones out of their fur. Then, so long as you dont get fleas in your yard, they'll pretty much stay flea free. You can also give them this medicine thing that goes on their neck that will kill any fleas that bite them, so that helps to prevent them, too.

@ dessert - You never know. Our cat when she was a kitten was rather unhappy by the water, but she was very good about it. She just sat there and got washed, but cried the whole time. This kitten seemed very well behaved and had good control, so I think it might be good about it.

I know! I'm not sure if it's still in my backyard or not. I think it got rather startled when I let the dog go outside.

aww... why did you do that... you should have slowly introduced the kitten to the dog...

I tried to. I let the dog out and walked over to the kitten, but as soon as she saw the dog she ran into the tree and got back on the fence. I told our dog to be nice and not bark, and she just walked around uninterested. The cat watched me and kept an eye on the dog, but didn't come down until after the dog went back in the house. She was fine, just didn't trust our dog at all.

aww poor kitty... the kitty will get used to the dog though especially if he/she is falling for you..

I think I'll actually go check to see if its still out there, and maybe set out a little bit more food for it. It chowed down on some canned food. But I need to take a shower and go to the movies, so i'm going to get off here. I'll catch you guys later, though! :heart:
