I was so creeped out the other day on Instagram (of which I only recently got and is completely empty) when on the list of recommended people to follow I saw one of my former classmates on there. It was like, how the heck did you even link me to her when I didn't even use my real name nor have any information that would have linked me to her...? The only thing i could think of was my email, which is the same as the one I use on Facebook (which also hasn't been used in years), but it's still creepy because my Facebook and Instagram should've been separate things.

Ugh I hate when that happens! I think they usually recommend based off of phone numbers cuz I’ll have classmates that show up as soon as we trade contact info. It’s so intrusive..

Craziest case was when I was just using Facebook messenger to call my sister and we started talking about an old friend we lost contact with, lo and behold, he added me the day after and told me it was because I showed up as a suggested friend.

Yeah. It’s hard to separate the coincidences from the actual snooping. But once the two are indistinguishable I just go into full paranoia mode.

And it’s not like I have anything to hide or I think I’m too cool for advertising, I just wish companies were more forthcoming with how they use our information. Makes me wonder what kinda of stuff Menewsha could data mine from us of the admins had a motive

I was talking with my mom about some product or other I can't even remember what it was, but it wasn't on the phone or computer or anything, it was just face to face, and then later that day an ad showed up for it on facebook and I was like "WHAT "
