Ok, so what I need help with is what to do with the ability trees. To try and cut down on god-modding people are allowed to pick from certain trees which allow for certain abilities. I have a wall of text on page one that breaks down how Bioware did it for the Dragon Age games, seeing as that's kinda where the idea of this roleplay comes from.

I don't know if I want to offer fewer branches that have more abilities or more branches with fewer abilities. If it's more branches available I was thinking of offering the person 2 they can use, but if the longer, they only get one.

I can also reference to WoW, those links are on page one as well, if I need or want to add more abilities somewhere.

Hm, well.. You could limit how they have the powers to where they have to have some form of counterbalance? >.>;

What do you mean? Cause the powers are what make the mages obviously, and they're really only going to be fighting those that are coming after them whether they are templars and possibly other mages. I guess I'm just not fully understanding what you mean XD ^^;;

The usual guidelines some rps have to prevent the godmodding. Combining the powers and stuff.. Should be iffy. >.> Cause sometimes people want to combine two really powerful things. XD

I was gonna put in there somewhere how the magic is not limitless and does fatigue that user; blood mages being the only exception, though they then have to deal with blood loss as well.

From what I've seen there haven't been any just super strong trees, some may have offense, but offer no defense. It could be just me having played the games, but you don't just want to spec in one branch XD
