Lilith laughed as Athony rushed past her.Okay, maybe being abit hyper in the mornings wasn't so bad after all.Some of the vamps gave them the stank eye but Lilith didn't care.She was bound to Lucian and was only here to be used as her tool.The demonic kingdom was crumbling and falling apart.'Ill catch up with you!'Lilith called out as she sprung forward.Of course she was able to catch up with him but not as easily.If only it could be like this more often and all the time, things would be different.

Emilian had no idea why the other demon wanted one of his own to escort him around. It wasn’t as if it was needed at the moment. Instead he shrugged and continued on down the hall in search of the female that seemed to be his number one suspect in the murder of the king.

Emma raised an eyebrow, feigning interest in the subject with her head propped up on her fist, and her elbow resting on the table. “So…you haven’t seen your sister in a while, Mai?” she asked afterwards.

Lore looked at her with a strange look on his face. “Of course,” he answered. “I sail out in the open ocean and spent a lot of time at sea. Morning dives are not new to me, Luka,” he explained, matter-of-factly. “It’s cold, but it’s also refreshing. Why, did you want to have a go at it?” He nodded his head sideways and laughed lightly. “Come on, dinner is going to get cold if we don’t hurry.”

Katerina rose from her seat as Lucian approached. “My dear, thank you very much. I shall treasure it,” the older woman smiled. She actually wasn’t used to genuinely smiling. Most of the time, she had a smirk on her face. “Do take care while I’m gone? I’m not sure when I’ll return, either. But I promise I’ll take good care of Blade,” she said, eyeing the warrior that stood nearby. Sighing, she glanced at the clock. “It is time. Are you ready?” she asked her new escort.

Carter waited, glancing out the window to see the dark moonlight. There was the di Giancola carriage. He would know it from the crest that was painted on the sides of the horse-drawn vehicle. Of course, there were more than one in line, containing that woman’s servants, her belongings, and everything that she usually carried with her when she traveled. “What a woman,” he said, shaking his head and finally relieved that she was leaving. They did not get on well at all.

Lucian gave a brief nod to Katerina.Watching her smile for the first time made Lucian wanted to grin like a teenage girl.But she knew better.Returning Katerina smile, Lucian then glanced at Blade.Someone hadn't gotten much sleep, but he did well in covering it up.'I hope all is well.Write me Katerina...i'd like to make sure you do alright.'Lucian remarked softly.The last thing she wanted was to lose her Aunt.She was the last person that she had close enough to her to make this all bearable - not including Carter.Lucian couldn't picture most of this without Carter to be honest.Everyone here had choices like any other, and yet Carter still stayed.His words still rang out in her mind, but she didn't let it get to her.Now glancing back at Katerina, she simpley said, 'Ill see you soon, take care.'Usually Lucian wouldn't have done that.But she leaned forward and gave Katerina a warm hug - ignoring the present she gave her.Lucian was wearing heels, so when she kissed Katerinas cheek to show a sign of thankfulness and affection she didn't have to stand up on her toes.Another advantige to heels.Heehee's.For once, Lucian didn't feel like a queen, like a princess.Infact she felt like a kid who had no idea what she was doing or how things were going to end up.But she had to have faith in herself, if she didn't, who else would?

Blade had never slept.The thought of leaving this place made him too eager.All signs of Iri would be gone from his mind.He'd be free and out and about.Blade stood in silence watching the two females.Never had he seen Katerina smile, but in his opinion she looked better when she smiled.'Of course mi'lady.Would you like me to carry the box?'Blade was simpley being proper, as he should be.He knew his place and all he truely wanted was to leave.Somehow when he was around Katerina he felt as though both of them were on the same battle feild, emotionally.But even he knew his mind set and her own were extremly different.And for that brief moment, he wished he could've been of some kind of comfort.But only by asking questions can you give anwsers.

Luka chuckeled at Lore and simpley shook her head.Yeah, it was a dumb question but she couldn't help but ask.'I supose.'She stated blankly.Luka wasn't really hungery, just more curious.Luka adored the way Lore threw his head back and laughed..for a moment she almost said 'you should laugh more often, the happy humored look suits you well'..but Luka wouldn't ever find herself saying something like that to Lore.'A morning swim, huh?'Luka then turned away and begun walking with Lore towards whatever direction he was talking about.'Sounds intresting.Care if I give it a shot?'Luka wasn't being sarcastic, actully she was being entirely serious.

Lore looked at her incredulously. “It’s freezing cold. Are you sure you want to try?” he asked, giving her that smirk again, reiterating the temperature of the ocean. The walk to the other end of the ship took a bit of a while, but he’d gone in silence, walking towards the table and pulling out Luka’s chair for her. Making a sweeping gesture to the seat, he indicated that she should sit there. “For you, my lady,” he said imitating the voice of the nobility of his rank that he no longer needed. “I’m told that the fare cooked here onboard is quite delicious,” he joked.

The older woman nodded. “Always. I’ll be fine. Don’t you worry your pretty little head about me. You’ve got other responsibilities now,” she reminded. “And if you need me, you know where to send for me.” The countryside air would be much better for her. Her condition was something to be covered up as well, and she didn’t want Blade to see her vulnerability. However, the fact that he would be around her now more than ever made her more nervous about him being able to find out about it. He might not even find her desirable after that. She accepted the goodbye from Lucian, giving her a hug as well. When Blade offered to carry the box, she looked at it, then him. “If you wish, then you may.” She looked back at her niece. “It’s not goodbye forever. It’s only a little while,” she reminded, before stepping out of the castle and walked towards her carriage with an air of regality.

Carter started downstairs, slowly as he knew Katerina was now outside. Her strong perfume still wafted in the air, which he coughed slightly at, not caring for the scent. He figured Lucian might want to wave the di Giancola carriages off, so he waited past the entrance hall, still in the interior of the castle before he would show himself to Lucian.

Lucian nodded every here and again.She didn't have much to say to Katerina.Katerina was simpley going away for awhile and that was that.Just stay safe.Was Lucians only thought as Blade took the box and walked out with Katerina.Lucian walked outside, knowing it wouldn't be that easy to keep in contact but for now they were at peace.The Demonic king had fallen victim to a killer and his crown had been snatched away.Lucian didn't pity the fool, she truely did not.He deserved what he got after all these years.She wasn't aware that Carter was anywhere near, infact she thought he'd still be in the kitchens.For a brief moment she wondered if she'd see him soon.The thought of it made Lucian want to blush.As Blade and Katerina set off she simpley stood there, Carter haunting her thoughts and Lucian worried about her aunts saftey and wether or not she'd be safe.Blade is with her, all is well.Lucian reassured herself as she waved goodbye, watching them leave.Sighing softly to herself Lucian then et out for the halls.

Blade was simpley polite and took the box, carrying it as he walked beside Katerina.He couldn't quiet pin point why she'd want to leave a place like this.But as usual Blade couldn't pin point hardly anything.Then again, could it be possible that she was just as messed up as he is?From the rumors Blade would think so, but Blade didn't listen to rumors.And if Katerina ever had something to tell him then she would from her free will.Perhaps one day he'd tell the story of himself and Iri.But that day was not anytime soon.

Luka chuckeled at Lore.Freezing?Luka was game.'Sounds all the more fun.'Luka countered.She didn't really know wether to be puzzeled at Lores gesture or not, so she decied not to.'Thank you.'Luka murmured as she took her seat.She listened to his sarcasm, as her chuckle only grew wider.Maybe she could get use to this.

Tabitha cursed herself for losing track of the shinigami she had been chasing. Out of anger she punched the castle wall, leaving an indenture. She licked the trickle of blood off running down her fingers from her knuckles. After a moment she closed her eyes and concentrated trying to locate the shinigami using her sensitive hearing. If this didn’t work maybe she would be able to talk to some of the many dead around the castle to locate it.

Mai nodded. “That is correct. It has been hundreds of years since I last seen her. I can’t blame her for the choice she made. Our parents are well…they mostly think of status and money. They only want what is best for them even if that would mean sacrificing their own daughters.” Her tone grew more serious as she spoke, the façade of a childish girl slowly dissolving.

Ayumu walked quietly down the hall. No one was around other than the servants. A few of them looked at her strangely, wondering who she was and why she was in the castle. Ignoring them she continued on her way to see Lucian. It wasn’t long before she finally reached where Lucian should be saying goodbye to Katerina. She paused for a moment to straighten her dress. She was still tired and she hoped that it didn’t show on her face. Slowly she approached Lucian, barely making any sound as she walked. "Lucian do you have a moment?"

Lucian would have jumped out of her skin if she wasn't use to people poping up out of nowhere.Glancing over her shoulder, she smiled at the woman who stood before her.Lucian never had seen her before, so she decied she needed to pay more attention to her surroundings for that brief moment.'Of course.'Lucian spoke the words simpley, staring at the young girls eyes but not really her over all features.Thats where she always attempted to look, into someones eyes.Sometimes emotions flickered through eyes as if the door had open for you to get a small glimpse.

“Sorry if I’m disturbing you.” Ayumu bowed her head slightly. “You probably don’t recognize me so let me introduce myself. I’m Ayumu Yamashita. You know, the little eight year old brat that comes around here every so often.” It was hard for her to keep from giggling at herself. She paused to recompose herself before continuing. “I know who the demon that killed the demon king is. Currently my shinigami are keeping a close eye on what is going on at the demon castle. My informant tells me that the demon is a woman who could prove to be useful to us in the future.”

Lucian chuckeled at Ayumus comment of 'little brat'.She couldn't help but laugh as she giggeled.Ayumu surely didn't seem to be eight anymore.Although Lucians laughter was cut short as she heard her comment about the kings demise and how it took place.A flash or amusment passed through Lucians scarlet orbs.'That sounds lovely.What exactly did you have planed, Ayumu?'Lucian asked with curiousity pitched clear in her voice.Who would not be curious?Just the thought of having another demon here only heightened her senses and brought on the chance of when the twin sisters return that they would not win so easily.This might aswell help kingdoms become allied..but not with the two fox demons.Those two girls..if Lucian ever seen or heard from them she would surely kill them with more then just words and weapons.So much more for what they did.

“The woman is a rogue who takes what jobs she likes and if the money is right. It’s also said that she has helped to settle disputes between demon and vampire villages near the border. That has not been confirmed as of yet. As things are right now she is the only suspect in the king’s murder so I’m sure she’d be willing to make a deal to save herself. Also it is believed the woman may have other connections to the king, like being his lover or even more.” Ayumu grinned, knowing that Lucian would catch on to what she was implying. If they could make it so that the demon woman became the new queen and got rid of the twins Lucian would be able to manipulate things the way she wanted them. After all this was just a game of chess and the player with the most pieces would be the winner.

Lucians lips only upturned into a sly smirk.So now the demons were caught into a web of deception.And it only took Ayumu to weave a small thread and play a small part in the game to give them more of a win in this war.Ayumu, you are simpley amazing.'Lucian stated in her soft tone, but a shade of apperciation was clear in her voice.Now she'd be able to strike down the twins and hopefully find Jezebeth..the one who got rid of her loved ones.But this would all take time.Time inwhich she had.'I understand where your going with this, and I greatly apperciate your use of rescourses.If there is anyway I may be able to repay you for doing all of this, please do not hesitate what so ever to ask.'Lucian remarked as she bowed her head out of respect to Ayumu.Never could have Lucian thought of something such as this.Of course her mind was abit more..messy.She didn't look into things or people surrounding what she wanted.The main target for right now was Jezebeth.And once she got ahold of Jezebeth, then all would end well.

Ayumu curtsied. “Thank you for your kind compliment, your highness. I trust you will make good use of the information I have been able to gather for you. All I ask in return is that you use the information wisely your highness.” Rising she looked at Lucian before taking a few steps back. “Don’t hesitate to ask for my help if you ever need it. My shinigami are always at your disposal.” She kept her composure though she was starting to feel weak again. As long as my body holds out I’ll do what I can to make a different and bring change to this world. That is what she told herself to keep herself going. She had to, if she didn’t she would give up, letting her life fade into nothingness. “I will take my leave now, maybe will have another chance to chat before I leave.” She smiled as she bowed her head to Lucian. Turning she disappeared into the darkness.

Lucian nodded her head in understanding.'See you soon Ayumu.'Lucian retroted as they departed.So, Ayumu can control death.The thought of it almost made Lucian feel giddy.The only thought that mostly came to mind was black mail, to keep in touch with the other side and be fed information.But the king was dead so she had no further reason to carry out on discarding demons.Demons could be just as useful as Vampires.Lucian walked the halls, a smug smile on her pale lips as she thought of Ayumu's words and how they'd work this to they're advantage.This should be fun.Was Lucians bittersweet thought implied towards the demon who they'd soon have on they're side.Reguardless of how ruthless they had to become.

”Hundreds…of years?” she replied, blinking. She couldn’t stand not being with Emilian for that long. They were usually inseparable, and even though they weren’t together at the moment, she knew he wouldn’t leave the castle without her either. “So where are your parents now?”

”It’s better than having to eat food that’s been dried and salted for a long time. That’s just not very appetizing. I know,” he finished, pushing Luka closer to the table and making sure she was comfortable before taking his own seat. He took a moment to look at the display in front of him, before looking up into Luka’s eyes and remembering where he was. “So, shall we eat?” He lifted the silver covers up from the plates revealing their dinner, which was hot and steaming.

The carriage ride towards the estate was a long one. They would reach it just before dawn rose the next day. Till then, the ride so far had gone on in silence, the Countess sitting in her respective seat and Blade sitting across from her. She peeled back the curtain every now and then to watch the countryside scenery go by, and put the shade back in its place right after.

He kept himself in the darkness. Lucian was speaking to another woman, one that he had no knowledge of, though he didn’t take it upon himself to eavesdrop on female conversation. Whatever it was, he didn’t want to get himself involved. If it turned out to be something of a potential war, he’d be at the ready as long as the queen told him so.

Lucian questioned the knowledge that had just been given to her.Silently she moved through the halls.The first thing she had to do was start ploting how she would use this information to her benefit.After a brief moment, like a switch blade, her mind then begun to think about Carter.What was he up to?Lucian pushed the thought away as she headed towards her bed chambers.She wanted to be away from 'people' for awhile.In general she just needed to pull herself together before facing the new obstacles ahead of her.

Lukas lips formed a casual chuckle as she heard his little 'i would know'.Luka was formal, and just acting simple.You'd think the thought of freezing water would atleast give her goose bumps.But it didn't, infact it made her more excited to go for a swim.

Blade stuck by Katerinas side the entire time.He didn't really know how to form conversation, so he tried starting off small.'Are you excited to be returning home?'

Lore began eating his fare, switching his focus between his plate and the lovely guest in front of him. He grinned. “It’s not going to bite you, Luka. I’m pretty sure the meat on here is fully cooked.” He gave a shrug. Sometimes he preferred his steaks rare, other times he was in the mood for something else. “It’ll be a long while before we reach land, so this is pretty much all we have,” he warned. Not that his ship actually lacked anything…

The brunette woman was caught off guard as the both of them had been quiet so far. Her head snapped when she heard him ask a question. ’Am I really excited to be returning home?’ She gave a slight smile. “Maybe yes, maybe no. I’m not actually sure,” she admitted, once again looking out the window. “It’s lonely there.”

Carter raised a brow, able to have a slight feel for Lucian’s emotions at the moment. It was part of his power, after all. He rubbed his hands with a dishcloth, one that he’d been carrying around for no reason. Going up the stairs, he returned to oversee the rest of the staff’s work and making sure that everything would be ready for tonight.
