I finished the series within like 13 hours of the last book being released. I was a major HP fan.

*sighs at Kat* but Harry Potter is so epic it must be read and enjoyed and other books and stuff can be put aside so you can have the brilliance that is HP in your head!

I never read the seventh book; I felt like I was beyond the series when the darn thing finally came out. xD;
I don't know, I still have no desire to read it. The series never made me fall in love with the characters. For me, you must make me adore the characters in order for me to adore your work.

And, well... The kids were just lame in Harry Potter. I've always connected more with adults in books anyway, so perhaps that's half the problem. :roll:

...Although I remember that, in fourth grade (right after the fourth Harry Potter book came out) I came in late to school the day of a field trip and spent the day reading the Goblet of Fire. :'D
I was totally happy, because my friend was going to start reading Goblet of Fire ASAP as well, but she was on the field trip. :P

Yeah, the characters... :roll: They were just so juvenile for me. I don't know how else to put it!
Plus, I've been reading Harry Potter ever since I was in second grade. I got the first book when I was in kindergarten (the year the darn thing was published! 1998) through some school book drive, where we picked a free book to take home. :lol:

I guess they were okay while they were there, but... I've outgrown them. The books never served any purpose for me to begin with, really. :| They were just... there.

That's usually how it goes. Whenever I go on vacation or get time off from work I'll get sick with a fever and then when it's time to go back to work, I'm magically cured :sarcasm:
