I love my DS to pieces, but I realized I don't have many games for it. I also stopped keeping track of new game releases since Pokemon Black/White came out. :sweat:

I'm also currently saving to buy a new 3DS for some upcoming games I'm dying to play.

Are there any great games you could recommend? I liked games like Layton, TWEWY, 999, Ace Attorney... :cry:

If you like Phoenix Wright, I'd recommend playing Hotel Dusk, it's really neat! It's similar style to Phoenix Wright, but you're a detective/ex-cop. And you hold the DS sideways like a novel, which I think is actually pretty neat and innovative. :3

Oh, I have that already, Hotel Dusk and Cape West. :sweat: I developed a crush on Hyde but now I want to be friends with him. LOL. Some of the lines in those games are absolutely golden.

I would recommend looking into SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked whenever you do get a 3DS. Or the original for the DS.

In all honesty, outside of Pokemon, Golden Sun, and the two Sonic Rush games... the only games I've liked on DS/3DS are the remakes, and in the end I really saw no point in repurchasing them. Especially square's recent track record with these. Seems that Chrono Trigger was the only good remake on the DS, GBA got all the excellent ones... even if some were based on the PS1. GBA was a lot kinder to me, with actually unique games such as Megaman Battle Network (the 5th actually got a DS version, try to find it) and the beginning of Warioware. Even if Touched was kinda cool.

Also the 3DS' backwards compatability method is really silly IMO. Keep that in mind.

Pokemon Grey is the not-yet-announced traditional third edition of Pokemon Black/White. Also rumored are remakes of Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, since that's how the cycle is running.

The 3DS games that are about to come out, the previews are good. I just like Sonic generation, kid icarus and, Mario kart 7, nut Legend of zelda OoT is cool( I played it at Gamestop)

But thank you all! I'm familiar with the SMT games, though I never played one myself. I will probably get the Pokemon game just because I can't not buy them anymore, and hm. I will consider many of these titles... Decisions, decisions... :sweat:

No, that was GSC. Though the actual berry process that's still being used was introduced 3rd gen. I loved how Hoenn put an emphasis on the environment in the region, and explained how everything influenced each other.

Well, I meant Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald introduced the differentiated berries, and using them for contests ane the like, since GSC had only that vague "Berry"...

Are there any good games styled like a visual novel?

If you like pokemon, Pokemon Heartgold and Soulsilver are absolutely amazing. They kick Black/White to the moon and beyond.

I greatly recommend Dragon Quest 9 if you like rpg's, you can create your own team, choose their classes, alchemise armor weapons and other item. There are awesome monsters to fight, and tons of dungeons to crawl. Other wse I'm waiting for Pokemon Grey to be announced also.

Trace Memory was a fun puzzle/mystery game, although it's a bit old, now. It has some wonderful art and an entertaining storyline.

I bought the 3DS months ago and it just sits there... collecting dust.. :(

But as far as good DS games go there are plenty.
I highly recommend Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
It has a great storyline and has a certain sci-fi suspense element most shin megami tensei games lacked.

The 3DS graphics are much better than the DS. The 3DS plays DS games as well. The only reason I'm bored with the 3DS is cause I only have the pilot resorts game which was fun in the begining, but not anymore. I will soon get some good games for the 3DS. Rumor say the a super smash bros game will come out for 3DS along with the Wii U.

they are releasing a new harvest moon game, i think somewhere in the middle of nov??
