It seems that we have a lot of birthdays on Menewsha this week... or at least three that I've counted. Sadly, I don't have the gold or massive inventories to do a contest or anything fun like that... But I have realized that the events tend to be the best time to meet other Menewshans and build some friendships and such!

So I figure let's add yet another hang-out type thread, and simply consider it a celebration of both Celes Paradi and my 24th birthday (which happens to fall on August 14th)!

I might give random Valentine's Day 09 EIs to people who stick around if they're interested... since they're the only ones I've collected multiples of.

Also - if there's any chance that somebody is going to be online a lot and earn a lot of extra stars to get extra EIs for this event and they'd like to be extra generous to get me the items for August 14th and 15th I would be so indebted to them! I'm going to be out of town that whole weekend to celebrate and already promised to leave my laptop at home!

Yes, I am! Usually I have about a month of concerts booked to celebrate, but this year I'm doing something different!

My best friend and I are taking a road-trip down to Chicago and spending the weekend there going places that I've only heard of (like the restaurant that pretty much only serves variations of grilled cheese sandwiches), then on Saturday we're going to this bar called Angels & Kings - and about a week ago I found out that that night is going to be the anniversary party for the bar as well as the after-party for Blink-182, Fall Out Boy and Panic! At The Disco since their Chicago tour date is that night! That and crush!one moved to Chicago a few months ago, so I'll get to spend some time with him, too. *bounces*

How is everyone today?

I'm still frustrated that I couldn't make your birthday FOR YET ANOTHER YEAR IN A ROW. Honestly, we need to plan this at some point. Preferably when I have a steady job and can make vacation plans that involve crossing borders or showing you around T.O.

Also: Why do my concerts always fall on that weekend? Dream Theater vs. Kendra's Spectacular Shenanigans. That's unfair, Universe.

The universe conspires against us!! My friend Mike who lives up there somewhere tried to get some days off to come down for it, too... and failed.

I need to get a passport so that I can actually cross the border again... aren't they enforcing that now? Like they were supposed to be doing at the beginning of the year...

I have no idea about the passports. We'd have to Google it. I think for quite a while at the beginning of this year they were still just accepting birth certificates, but it could have changed.

Still ridiculous. August is a time of vacation! Of awesome! And dammit, I want to meet you before I'm friggin' twenty five.

Good point... but my 'rents won't fork over my actual birth certificate because they're weird like that. I just get copies and have to cross my fingers that they accept it. haha. Though the other year I'm pretty sure they just looked at my ID and called it good.

I know! We live so close, it's just that stupid national border...
