there were glitches with it in the past, one made the double gold transferred, other ate it, etc....theoretically now it is fine, and in a fast trade it's safe to send gold, but if it's going to stay in the trade center for a while, I would suggest no gold in trade - because if a new glitch will show up, it will be affected.
especially since the trade system is still kinda in building xD
