We had four hurricanes in one year when in 2004...that was fun. We have been lucky and havent had many since. We had a tropical storm that stopped moving and sat on us when i was in college...there was a ton of flooding that time. But they keep changing the projected path of this storm so it may or may not even hit us....we Wil see lol

Sadly, that kind of thing can happen anywhere. Here in California, we get earthquakes...which are actually pretty terrifying since no one can predict them.

...but low intensity ones are actually pretty exciting. Low intensity earthquakes, you can pretty much make into a game of Spot The Tourist.

Yep... my country was suppose to be earthquake free and tornado free, but since last year, we are starting to feel the earthquake fault line came closer and damn we have one mini tornado!

Hurricanes and tropical storms alternate name genders - male, female, male, female.

Now, why we name them after people in the first place, that is a mystery to me...
