There are several traditional Halloween symbols. Pumpkins, bats, witches, ghosts, black cats, spiders, and skeletons. Out of all of these symbols, which one is your favorite and why?

My favorite is the pumpkin. It, to me, is the quintessential Halloween symbol. Something about the orange skin and that all-consuming hunt to find the perfect pumpkin to carve.

;D Mine is also the pumpkin. I just adore the round bumpy orange organic figure. And the natural vines are adorably decorative !
I don't really like carving mine though. I adore them as they are naturally. Plus they rot much faster when carved. I like enjoying them for as long as I can.

Cats. I'm a big cat person. So cute and fuzzy :3 Except those weird sphynx cats... they're just creepy. But I'm going off topic. I also think pumpkins are awesome... and yummy in soup!

I like the jack o laterns. Because the story behind it is so interesting. :D

Black cats because I love cats and black color... And hate how people treat black cats badly just because they are considered to bring bad luck. They just deserve some loving!

I like pumpkins since they remind me of fall and taste good in pie form :0

I have yet to taste anything pumpkin that isn't used in soup.

Black cats are so cute! But visually, I think the bat is my favorite Halloween symbol.

Not sure if it's their Halloween-symbol status or just their being in season, but I'm so thankful for pumpkins this time of year--pumpkin breads and cookies and pies start appearing and it's all so delicious.
And some tasty curried pumpkin last night as well.
Whitebeast, that's funny--I think soup is the only pumpkin preparation I've never actually seen around here. (in the northeastern US)

In Japan, it's good luck to meet one down the road/path you're crossing/at.

I love bats, they can fly and can bite you and suck your blood ^_^ they can also turn back into vampires ^_^
