The simple story. This is the story of the other non major village ninja and clans. Setting up an overarching story that fits into the events of the main series, we see small clans and villages interacting in various ways and forming alliances. The conflict in the first arc will be the damage caused by tensions between ninja villages and surviving in a harsh world where there is little support. Please keep in mind I will line out a few main clans/villages that will start the story, please submit any clan and characters outside of these for review to me.

Clan 1. Kuroistuki clan: The descendants from the Rikudo-senin. The third child, a daughter. Long story short they gained a unique type of chakra and a powerful pair of eyes. In general the Kuroitsuki clan has very low levels of chakra, and most are simply villagers, only a few are able to use any jutsu.

Clan is structured around the Tsukihime, the most powerful female tsukiton/tsukigan clan user. She cannot leave the village, literally. But she runs the daily and not so daily functions of her hidden clan

Tsukigan: this eye has a special set of techniques depending on the phases of the moon. New moon: Blind to all light, however hightened senses and increased chakra. Able to see perfectly in shadows and darkness. Crescent moons waxing, telescopic sight, binoculars basically. half moon, able to see anything the moon light touches within varying ranges depending on users skill. Continues till full moon.

Full moon is the most powerful of the techniques, and almost impossible to use due to its high chakra consumption. It gives predictive capabilities, or actual ability to see the future, at varying lengths of time. The highest known user, the tsukihime, can see ten minutes into the future.

waxing is the same jutsu in reverse order of course.

Jutsu: most are simple variations of shadow or light style techniques, like trapping someone in solidified moon light or the like. There is one special space time jutsu that disassembles the user into moonlight or moon shadows and allows them to travel up to one mile almost instantly. Its risky because if the user doesn't hold their mind and body together with concentration, they will become moonlight forever.

The RyuJin Clan: This is the opposite of the Kuroitsuki clan. Their chakra is off the charts, their weakest at the average level of chunin in the major villages. Each member only has one elemental chakra however. They use a special variation of the main chakra styles called Ryuton. Or dragon style. Its their own special mutation of chakra. In each generation there are masters of their respective elemental chakra and the rest seal all their chakra into the masters. Leaving a force of about twenty ninja to protect the entire clan.

The oldest members of the RyuJin Clans Masters are the primary command structure, though the elders, male and female, run the daily functions of the clan. All students struggle to become the strongest in their style to become RyuJin Masters.

Jutsu: Overpowered variations of regular elemental jutsu, all with dragon variations, instead of phoenix flower jutsu you have something like the dragon spit fire, and most jutsu look like the beasts they are inspired by.

The third and final clan that you can select thus far.

This clan is slightly different. Its rather a group of special water jutsu specialists that live in five different areas, each with a unique and powerful Tide. They are called the Densetsu no Oshio, and each of the five tiny villages focuses on unique water style jutsu that only they can master by living on the islands.

First, the mountainous region far east, they have special water style earth jutsu. Due to the massive chain of mountains that formed within the tidal track. They can use suiton jutsu to create quicksand or gysers with needle like shards of obsidian.

Next the volcanic region of the south east. The region has large underwater volcanos that make it the least hospitable of the regions. They have suiton based fire jutsu. In other words, boiling water or even explosions, eternal flames cloaked in jets of water, etc.

The south west region is the stormy seas. Their is a perptual storm over this tide and there is very little that is not struck by lightning at any given moment. You get the idea, suiton based lighting jutsu. This is more subtle because its more like adding electricity to regular water jutsu. not to say they dont have, flashy, jutsu. :p

The western region is plagued by high, turbulent winds. You got it, water style wind jutsu. Bubbles or even gusts of wind carying small, dense water droplets. small scale huricans or water spouts, and cutting techniques.

Finally the northern, and strongest tidal track of the five, this is the water style water users. Their water jutsu are similar to plain suiton jutsu, but the sheer strength of even their weakest technique puts them in the league of their own.

All of these are separate and isolated for the most part. However the only jutsu users that can manage to take these chakras and styles are those that where born there. the raw natural powers of these areas imbuing their water chakra with unique properties. Not kekkai genkai per se, but pretty dang close.

History: the young student of the leaders of the clan. He was taught by the head of the clans protection, Tenchi Kuroitsuki, the husband of the Tsukihime, and the strongest member of the clan. He may not have a lot of chakra, or know most of the jutsu, but he can control his chakra with pin point accuracy. He can see one full minute into the future at full moon, but the effects of using it make him extremely vulnerable. His entire life has been dedicated to protecting his people and he is roughly the level of a chunin ranked ninja.
Jutsu: Tsukigan.

Tsukiton: Lunar Scythe: A moonlight solidification jutsu that creates a large crescent moon shaped blade extending from the users arms.

Tskiton: Lunar shuriken: Similar to the above, it creates smaller blades that get sent out at the target, at his current level they can only be created in front of the user and sent outwards from there.

Tsukiton: Moon Shadow Clone: It creates clones out of the shadows cast by the moonlight. Each clone can materialize or vanish in any patch of moon shadow.

Tsukiton: New Moon Flash: this is a jutsu that can only be used on the new moon. It takes the stored tsukiton chakra and creates a blinding flash while allowing the user to keep his enhanced night vision.
