No, the sun doesn't move much where I live, since we're pretty close to the equator. And since its not ridiculous timing either, we just keep our normal time,

Why would I want to wake up in the dark instead of at sunrise? Having a nice beautiful morning to get ready for the day, enjoy breakfast, and head for work is so much nicer.

Where I am at, if you move the clock, it would be dark.

Daylight Savings time was originally used in WWI by the Germans to help save on supplies and resources. Other countries also adapted it until the end of the war. Then during WWII, it was again used... only when the war ended, several countries including the USA didn't stop using it. :( Farming communities were the loudest protesters against daylights savings time.

Why does it affect farming?

Not farming, the farmers. Daylights Savings was designed so that more people would have sunlight later in the afternoon. That was it's main purpose. Farmers already wake up early... to wake up early and have to work in the dark is a bugger.

Aw man! Poor farmers.
