I just put it in a box or stick a bow on it, too much trouble for something that's going to be ripped off and recycled anyway (especially since my family tends to forget to wrap until 10 PM Christmas eve xD)

That picture looks like the right way to do it properly.

But as for how *I* wrap round presents . . . . well, I'll probably need to figure out how to wrap square ones first before I tell you.

lol xD

I get lots of practice with square ones :3 My dad's uber lazy and if I don't wrap them no one will, and it won't be as fun to sit by the Christmas rearranging the presents until it's just perfect...I'd know what everything is otherwise...

Once you graduate from squares, you gotta move to concave parallelograms though...D:

I wrap round presents that way as well! Unless I'm lazy... then I just stick it in a box or a bag. ^^;

I do the candy thing too. I do it for most presents actually (I'm horrible with wrapping presents).

That or I stick them in a bag. I haven't done any wrapping this year. >.> Was out last night when everything was done.

Usually, if it's round or oddly shaped like a jar -- I pull the paper up all around it, crinkle it together on top and tie it with yarn. It ends up looking a little like a pineapple -- but it works. ;)

If its odd shaped I try my best to make it look not like the shape that it already is. Like if its a circle i'll try to shape the wraping like a triangle, its funny and surprises the person that i'm giving the gift to. XD

boxes and bags. I got my brother a wooden ship, so I wrapped it in his other gift, a concert t-shirt, and wrapped that in wrapping paper.

Generally I wrap it so the bottom is somehow flat and then wrap the top like a candy with ribbons ^^

cutie pie: yeah it is fragile, I actually had to write on the wrapping paper "do not stack things on top of" just in case. I'd hate for him to open it up only to have the mast broken. and yes, I am longcat. XD

Either a box or a gift bag. If that doesn't work, I improvise. xP In pieces, if I need to. .w.;

I put it into a box.

or better take a bunch of wrapping paper lay it out (make sure it is bigger then the object) pull all sides up around it so it looks like a sack and the tie a ribbon around the opening to keep it there. and tada, sack present XD it's different then a box.

I suggest just dropping it into a bag with tissue paper, saves the trouble of bothering with wrapping paper :) I like the box idea mentioned above though :)

I do the pinapple thing too! Or I do the candy thing... Sometimes I just coat it in tape and make it form fitting... this year I ran out of tape wrapping some presents and used stickers and ribbons instead.

I do it kind of like the candy wrapper style, BUT it only has the frilly thing on one side. So I can attempt to make it stand up. :3

Lots of tape! and in the extreme cases, stuff it in a festive bag and layer some tissue paper over it
