seeing as they wouldn't be allowed to die as they were perfect weapons for times of war.
These unlucky Shinobi, the Jinchuuriki, have become enemies of society, being shunned
and hated by others.
Some have found ways around it, but ultimately they know they don't belong.
Their Bijuu remind them plenty of that, the demons that hate being locked up,
torturing their hosts anyway they can...

The world is changing and the Bijuu want revenge
for ultimately being locked up all these long and constant years.
Threats are appearing everywhere, wars are starting, and all hell is breaking loose.

Shukaku, the Ichibi

Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
Shukaku is a bijuu
in the form of Raccon Dog (Tanuki of the Japanese mythology).
Before, he was a priest that lived in the Desert of Nara. Because
of the dark power released by Yamata no Orochi, and under
the heavy assault of wind and sand, he transformed into a racoon
dog (His actual form). He has a playful and extravagant
personality, resembling the Tanuki nature. Has a pretty active
sexual life. Shukaku lives in the souls of people killed
by the wind and sand. The violet (blue in the anime) tatoos
represent his title of God of Wind. in Naruto the Shukaku was
sealed inside Gaara but then extracted by Deidara from Akatsuki.

Nekomata, the Nibi
Jinchuuriki: L L A M A N O ! S E
Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
Nekomata is a bijuu in the form of cat, and possesses
the power of death. This Bijuu lives in a place called
“Forest of Death” (Not a mistranslation.)in Hokkaido,
to the north. His appearance is a black cat monster
(depicted with huge, black angel wings). He’s the Death
God’s pet. Nekomata feeds on dead people’s spirits, and
can summon these to fight for him. He uses a third eye
at the top of its head to consume the spirits. in Naruto,
the Nekomata was sealed in a body of a kunoichi from
Kumogakure named Yugito and it was extracted by 2 Akatsuki
Members, Hidan and Kakuzu.
Situation in the Ancient War of
the 9 Gods: Trying to dominate his enemies, Nekomata forms
an alliance with Houkou, and attacks Kyuubi. They have a
disastrous defeat, and Nekomata is rescued by the Death God,
escaping death by a hair’s breadth. Battled 3 times; 2 Wins, 1 Loss.
Wins: Kaku, Isonade
Losses: Kyuubi
Fate: Nekomata ends up killed by Kyuubi later, and in that instant his
spirit is summoned by the Death God. The body was kept in a shrine in the Forest
of Death, sealed by the Death God himself.
Japanese Myth Appearance: A species of two tails black cat, with slightly
more pointed ears and bigger canines.
Ability: Death; may control deceased person's spirits (May be related to Gaara)
as well as different dark beasts

Isonade, the Sanbi
Jinchuuriki: [[Fortune's]] //F o o l//
Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
Isonade is a shark shaped Bijuu with a sharp horn
on the forehead. It lives in the deep waters on the
West of Japan, fighting pirates. Every few months,
Isonade will swim to the surface of the sea from the
deep waters, to breath some fresh air. However, when
he does this, storms erupt, oceans rage, and all ships
will be swallowed by him as food. Isonade has a subordinate
fish called Samehada (same name as Kisame's Sword).
Depicted differently, but with same pronunciation).
Samehada attaches itself to Isonade’s stomach, and
absorbs its food to create huge amounts of chakra,
proceeding to send it back to its body. Samehada’s
power can enable Isonade to get 5 times the quantity
of chakra it could originally get. Therefore, when
Isonade battles, he will have unlimited chakra to
receive from Samehada.

Fate: A fisherman and brave warrior from Yokohama,
called Takuma Muramasa, sacrifices himself in behalf of
two villages in a courageous act, getting near Isonade
and sealing his personal servant Samehada in the “Tool
of Power: Pot of the Shark-named fish” from seal in the
Water Shrine. Isonade then becomes unable to draw the
massive chakra, and ends up getting exausted and sucked
by the Tool’s seal in the Water Shrine as well.
Japanese Myth Appearance: A big shark/fish(?) with 3
tails and 3 fins. Has a dark blue body color, is attracted
by blood (like all sharks); has a personal servant, a small
fish named Samehada, as shown above, that is responsible
to help Isonade absorb and digest Chakra in 5 times his
original capacity.
Ability: Generic water powers, can control the currents of water.

Sokou, the Yonbi

Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
Sokou is a bijuu that looks like a reptile.
It was a creature that lived near Mount Fuji.
Because of the toxic gas and the volcaninc ash,
he was transformed into a half-rooster, half-snake
monster. The Rooster and Snake are husband and wife
in Sokou’s body. Everything around it withers away or
dies, because of its poison. According to the Legend,
whenever he hibernates in Mount Fuji, the snoring he causes
will make the volcano erupt.

Fate: Sokou was sealed by a master of demonic arts,
called Yamazaki Ishiro, with the “Tool of power:

Sokou becomes unable to send out his poisonous gas
from the mountain for all eternity.
Japanese Myth Appearance: A four-tailed Rooster / Snake mixture.
The lower part of the body is a Snake, while the upper part is a Rooster.
Crawls instead of walking (Just like desert scorpions). Most of the
body parts have an orange tone. Lives in the mount Fuji.
Ability: Controls poison, poisonous gas, venoms, and so on.

Houkou, the Gobi

Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beastsp:
Houkou is a bijuu which looks like a five-tailed dog.
Each tail of this creature represents one elemental
power: Wind, Water, Earth, Lightning and Fire. They
can cause catastrophic damage when used. Houkou will
willingly destroy the nature to obtain the power he
desires from these elements. He was once badly injured
when he and Nekomata challenged Kyuubi. Strangely enough,
he is the god of Illusion. Houkou lives in a giant,
ancient tree.

Fate: After receiving a severe wound, Houkou runs away to
one of Japan's islands, and hides in a place near Kyushu’s
Volcano - a giant tree, to heal his wound. But the tree's
concrete position is not known by anyone.
Japanese Myth Appearance: A species of dog, with 5 long tails.
Has a white coloured body. Each of the tails possess one of the
five elemental powers, that used simultaneously can cause a
big earthquake.
Ability: Attacking using mixture of elements; Houkou is
skilled in each kind of element ability, and can also create
instantaneously each kind of natural disaster.

Raijuu, the Rokubi

Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
Raijuu, a bijuu in the form of weasel, has four
legs and very sharp claws. Its cry sounds like
thunder. It was originally the god of Thunder, but
because of Yamata no Orochi’s power, it was transformed
into a beast. Raijuu can release a huge amount of
eletricity for battle assistance.
Situation in the Ancient War of the 9 Gods: Battled 5 times; 2 Wins, 3 Losses
Wins: Shukaku, Sokou
Losses: Houkou, Yamata no Orochi, Kyuubi
Fate: A ninja called Sarutobi
in the legend, effectively eliminated Raijuu
by using the technique “Kinjutsu: Raikiri”.
He then is sealed by Sarutobi with the “Tool of
Power: Hidden Thunder Prison” into the seal in the
Thunder Shrine.
Japanese Myth Appearance: A species of weasel with
golden yellow fur. The whole body’s fur grows upright.
Its six tails take a lightning shape, just like the
ancient God of Thunder.
Ability: Fire caused by lightning, Lightning Thunder,
Lightning bolts, Lightning elemental magic arts;
Raijuu may also fly about as a ball of lightning / fire.

Kaku, the Shichibi
Jinchuuriki: Kitty-Kitsune
Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
Kaku is a bijuu in the form of badger. Its
Kanji is also read as Mujina, which is the
name the Japanese subspecies of badger (Meles
Meles Anaguma) receives in some parts of Japan.
It has seven tails, and is the smallest bijuu
out of the nine; though it is the most cunning
and stealthy. Kaku hunts its prey underground
most of the time. It kills by crumbling/destroying
the piece of land that is under its target, making
it fall right into his open mouth. Above land, whenever
he is around he can transform into any type of creature,
but he is unable to do it if he doesn’t have clay.

Wins: Sokou
Escapes: Nekomata, Isonade, Yamata no Orochi
Fate: Kaku’s storehouse of clay in a hole is
found, and is burned by warriors. Kaku is unable
to transform, and is defeated by the brave warrior
Ikkyo Soujin, who proceeds to seal it with the “Tool
of Power: Remnant Earth Altar” into the seal in the
Earth Shrine.
Japanese Myth Appearance: Kaku is the smallest Bijuu.
It has a blue color, and is good at using clay camouflage.
Kaku is very difficult to bump into.
Ability: Transformation (Henge), Clay, Earth elemental magic arts

Yamata no Orochi (Hachimata), the Hachibi
Jinchuuriki: flaming-Scorpion
Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
Yamata no Orochi is a Snake bijuu. It has
crimsom red eyes, eight heads and eight tails
(also depicted to having trees and vines growing
around them) and has the power of the Demon world,
a symbol of evil. Each head of Yamata no Orochi
represents a symbol: Soul, Ghost, Evil, Devil,
Monstrous, Kill, The Afterworld and Death. Its powers
were originally weak, the members of the Kusanagi
clan, when attacking it, acted carelessly, using the
legendary sword Kusanagi no Tsurugi (Orochimaru’s sword)
.Because of that, as a consequence, Yamata no Orochi
takes the sword from them, absorbing the power contained
inside, and becoming an incredibly powerful creature,
and finally storing it in its body. With the new power,
Yamata no Orochi releases an insane amount of dark energy,
awakening the other Bijuu and becoming arrogant. Yamata
no Orochi proceeds to defeat many of the Bijuu, but when
it battles with Kyuubi, it is defeated. The cause
of this is simple: Kyuubi has an unlimited amount of
power, making even a hole in the Kusanagi sword. As this
happens, it shows how tremendously powerful Kyuubi is,
deserving of the “King of Bijuu” title. Not even Sarutobi
and Enma (I’m not sure how those two are into the legend)
could scratch the Kusanagi no Tsurugi. (That makes connections
to the Orochimaru x Sandaime battle) Legend also depicted
it as having a power able to rival Kyuubi’s [in quality],
but the fact is, Yamata no Orochi’s does have a limit.

Losses: Kyuubi
Fate: Yamata no Orochi awaits a genius of the Yagami clan,
which is the arch enemy of the Kusanagi clan. The purpose
is to awake it [Yamata no Orochi], in order to fight Kyuubi
again. Since Yamata no Orochi’s power inherits in the
Yagami Clan, If the heir appears as the first genius in
1000 years that is able to awake Yamata no Orochi’s ability,
it will be completely restored. Once the process is done,
the genius with such crucial task will be destroyed due to
the true body of Yamata no Orochi resurfacing, which has an
all-new power. It won’t be found before the decisive battle
with Kyuubi, and will be able to kill no matter of thing,
destroy any type of place, and attain infinite vision
(as Kyuubi has). The core of Yamata no Orochi’s power is
in a kind of forbidden sealing jutsu. As soon as the Yagami
clan heir comprehends enough of it, a bigger, much
stronger power will surface in the grasp of Yamata no
Orochi.
Japanese Myth Appearance: A super Snake of Eight heads and
Eight tails, attached to a single body. Has a deep brown
color. It definitely is the biggest bijuu - the lenghth
of it is over eight mountains. Originally, it was weaker
than Houkou and Nekomata; however, that was 1000 years
before a brave warrior tried defeating it with the Kusanagi
no Tsurugi. In the process, the sword’s power is absorbed
instead by Yamata no Orochi, thus greatly expanding his
power. He continues though to be able to use freely the
sword in his belly.
Ability: The legendary sword: Kusanagi no Tsurugi; summoning of evil spirits

Kyuubi no Youko, the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox
Jinchuuriki: L L A M A N O ! S E
Tale in the Legend of the Tailed Beasts:
This is a bijuu in the shape of a nine-tailed
fox, and the strongest of them all. The reason
he is so powerful is simple: Kyuubi has an unlimited
amount of power, earning it the “King of Bijuu”
title. The power is generated by Kyuubi’s Fire Seal,
and as a result, after battling for 100 years with
Yamata no Orochi, it becomes exhausted; but Kyuubi
continues standing, able to fight. It is also pretty
cunning and smart.
Situation in the Ancient War of the 9 Gods: Battled 4 times; All of them victories
Wins: Nekomata, Houkou, Raijuu, Yamata no Orochi
Fate: In unclear whereabouts, Kyuubi continues to
kill all the people on his way to find the one who
awakened him, and the one who managed to seal him before.
(That being Yondaime, probably) Yamata no Orochi didn’t
tell Kyuubi, though, that the one who awakened him was
the Eight Tails himself.
Japanese Myth Appearance: Kyuubi no Youko is
the strongest (S Level) Bijuu of the Japanese
Myth. Its body has a red fur; Kyuubi represents
the element of Fire. Its abilities are incredible.
Because it has never been defeated by any youkai,
its total strength is unable to estimate. His tails
create cyclones by spinning quickly, and Kyuubi
proceeds to rip its enemies with its huge claws.
At the same time his fur may shoot fireballs similar
to meteorites endlessly, instantly destroying villages.
In the ancient Bijuu wars, a challenge results in
Houkou being severely wounded, and Nekomata nearly
dying, but ending up being rescued by his master,
Shinigami (God of Death). Yamata no Orochi depended
on the Kusanagi no Tsurugi to fight Kyuubi, but was
defeated and the sword received a cracked hole,
courtesy of our kitsune.

Personality: Years as an apprentice to his merchant father hasn’t dulled his personality any at all. In fact, it has helped form it in to what it is today by being one of the factors that led him to live on his own. He’s a friendly guy with a magnetic personality who has a network of friends that spans the globe. Unlike his family, Okane loves people of all kinds and will often go out of his way to help people, even complete strangers.

Playful isn’t the only thing Okane is though. When the situation calls for it, he can be serious. He is also a very sharp business mind. He may have not liked learning about business from his father, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t learn.

Appearance: At one time, Okane’s clothes were sleek and clean, but his time on the road has rendered them dusty and worn. He wears a striped, sleeveless jacket that over a long striped, sleeveless tunic-shirt. On his arms he wears a pair of fishnet gloves that reach up his arm to about his bicep and over those a pair of long gloves that reach to his elbow. His pants are long and flared a bit at the bottom. Around his neck he wears a long striped scarf with the family seal embroidered on it. A thin belt runs jauntily along his hips and is often adorned with many pouches. ((once I get a better picture of him drawn, I'll have to link it))


History: Okane is the heir to a line of extremely wealthy merchants, but the live of a merchant wasn’t for him. He wanted to explore the world and experience everything it offered, even from a young age. If he wasn’t studying with the family’s private tutor, he was reading about distant lands and the people that inhabited them. A firm reprimand would usually follow his daydreaming and he would then usually be forced to join his father in his shop to learn how to be a “proper merchant”.

At age 18, he was given one of the family’s most prized possessions: an ornate necklace set with many gorgeous gemstones. Unfortunately for him, he was also expected to take over the family business too. This proved too much for the young Okane, so he snuck out in the night and left his village. He also took the family pet, Annatora the white tiger, with him. She always loved him and would follow him everywhere as a kitten. Now that she was grown up, she was so enormous that a person could ride her like a horse. Okane would often take her out for a ride around in the countryside around to the village and so she didn’t think much of him taking her out now.

Ever since then, Okane has been a vagabond, traveling from village to village making friends all along the way while dodging the people sent after him by his family to reclaim him and his necklace.

Village: He was once part of a clan in Otogakure. Now he is a rogue ninja, he left not because he was hated by the villagers, but because they were beginning to fear him and question his control of his Biju.

Bijuu: Yamata no Orochi (8-tailed snake)

Personality: Despite his appearance, he isn't the least bit gloomy. He likes to laugh and enjoy life to the fullest, even if the Biju inside him is constantly mocking and insulting him. He is cautious and always thinks situations through. He doesn't like to flaunt his abilities or gain power (which is quite the opposite of the demon's personality). He is usually quiet and reserved around people he is not familiar with, however if a person is friendly to him he'll become much more talkative. When in a fight, he is most likely the person to be challenged, and when fighting he can become prideful and will fight with determination and will only kill if its completely necessary. The Biju and Jigoku are often on bad terms with each other, and are constantly fighting for dominance over his body. Jigoku can often be found talking to himself and pacing when communicating with the biju.

He has very unnatural pale skin and red eyes. If he was found unconcious, people would instantly expect he was dead or dieing, judging by his skin tone.
The 9 pronged seal is permanently marked upon his chest.
Before the demon was sealed inside of him, he had jet black, blue hinted hair, now it is white, some of the blue remaining, but it is hardly noticeable.
Jigoku's build is thin, but very sturdy and muscular. This is very important for his fighting technique because his build helps him pertain his speed. He is rather tall, standing nearly 6''. When his hair is let down, it can reach his mid-thigh, however it has two layers, the back hair being much longer than the front.
His ageing proccess seems to be slowing because of the Hachibi's dark energy. Jigoku cannot tell whether he will live an unnaturally long life, or an unnaturally short one. His body appears to be 17, when in truth he is past 20. He has been told that he may not live past 40 because of how the Biju acts like a parasite and absorbs his energy. Jigoku does not usually feel fatigue, unless he uses the Biju's chakra extensively (as any normal Jinchuuriki would). Because of how the Biju influences him, his appearance has changed greatly, and outside from his village, he has been called 'a demon' when none knew of the true demon that was sealed inside him.

History: Jigoku was born into the Yagami clan, of the sound. He was a rather depressed child and often saw himself as useless. He had great promise and could have been an excellent academy student. Although, he did not have the confidence to do strive and become a great shinobi like his parents wanted. His older brother (older by six years) did. His sibling worked hard while in school and received average grades and his talent, even at his current age, was average. He envied his brother who seemed to go glide through school as if he wasn't even trying. Jigoku's older brother worked hard, and would prove his worthiness even if it meant his death. The snake was re-awakened when an the inexperienced shinobi summoned it, meaning it did not regain its original power immediately. The snake attacked the village and devoured the shinobi and countless members of the clan in an attempt to gain the energy it needed to continue to thrive in the 'mortal realm', being a creature of hell (and being sealed for more than 100 years) it needed the spiritual energy (chakra). Jigoku's mother was one of the many devoured, further deepening his depression and feeling of uselessness. In order to control the great serpent, the four year old boy willingly offered his body to contain the demon. The clan's most experienced leader sealed the Biju inside Jigoku's chest (costing the leader his life), where it would remain. The snake greedily feeds off of Jigoku's chakra and 'life energy' constantly in an attempt to stabilize its own and grow stronger than the 9-tailed fox. Now the Yamata No Orochi and Jigoku are in a constant battle over the teen's body. The snake is determined to have its rematch with the Kyuubi...and win.

The sealing of the Biju became his 'confidence'. If he was to control the spirit, he would need to train and learn how to control and manipulate chakra much better than he already did. He became the prodigy of the village and often worked himself to complete exhaustion. During his moments of fatigue or sleep, the Hachibi would control his body (or try to) for short periods of time. It would not be unusual to see him 'sleepwalking' and talking to himself. There were moments where the Hachibi would use Jigoku's body in an attempt to break the seal. This is when the village began questioning his control. Eight years after he was sealed, he left the village. They did not search for him or beg him to come back. He told them of his decision, and none argued. Not even his father. Now he is just a spontaneous traveler, he doesn't even know where he'll end up next.

Personality: Kanaye is a ‘gets what he wants or else’ type person. He is greedy, and he knows that. He is not only greedy of money, but of blood too. Killing gives him something of a high. He is cocky, arrogant, and all of the above on the annoying and bitchy scale. Due to the fact that it seemed like he didn’t fit in at all he doesn’t trust too many people who seem to want to be his friends, though there are quite few. All of those possible ‘friends’ have ended up dead, ending out to be Shinobi from other villages sent.

Appearance: Due to the Bijuu inhabitant of his body, Kanaye has quite an odd outward appearance. In fact, he seems to be mutated. His skin seems to have a blue tint to it, and his eyes are slightly narrowed and dark. Smack dab in the middle of his forehead is a small horn, nothing big though. His hair is long and black that runs down just past his mid-back, either fitted into a pony tail or left loose to flow in the wind. His fingers are long and the nails on them seem sharpened. Either he does that himself, or it comes in the package with his Bijuu.

His body is somewhat lithe, somewhat lanky, yet he does have muscles and is stronger than your average shinobi.

Kanaye’s normal outfit would be a loose fitting long sleeved shirt with a small leather vest that ends right below his pectoral muscles, tight black leather pants, black shinobi sandals, and black leather gloves. His slashed Kirigakure hitiate is fashioned on his forehead, like most shinobi.
As for a main weapon Kanaya has a large cleaver-like sword, his Samehada which works just as Kisame’s does.

Descendant? Could be. But not directly of him of course.

History: Kanaye wasn’t your average little boy growing up. Often times he was made fun of for his odd appearance, and he didn’t gain too many friends. The friends he did gain were all part of a small little gang that went around stirring up trouble even as kids.

The trouble brewed became more serious as they grew older, and finally, when they all graduated as Jounin, they decided to have a big bang. They decided that since they were so high up on the totem pole, they could go around doing whatever they wanted with anything, and anyone, namely women. Obviously the other shinobi didn’t think well of this and were sent out to detain them. It ended up in one big blood lust with Kayane fleeing along with two others in his group, all now marked as missing nin.

Eventually, Kayane and his group split up and went their separate ways. He hasn’t heard of his ‘friends’ since. Now he is simply a wandering missing nin, doing whatever he likes whenever. Just because you’re a Jinchuuriki doesn’t mean you have to be part of some big group.

Character Name: Hakuchumu Ketsurui

Age: 19

Shinobi Ranking: Jounin

Jinchuuriki? No.

Personality: Distant, day-dreamy, un-attached, ect. Ketsurui doesn't really connect with people or things, the typical 'loner' type. Actually, she would love to have a few friends, but she just wants people to come out to her first. Shy perhaps? Also, it is rumored that she tends to get a little on the edgy side, insane-wise.
Perhaps she spends too much time alone in her head.

Appearance: Ketsurui eyes are a deep red color, as is her hair. Her skin is fair colored. She is definitely below-average when it comes to height, yet her build is slim and toned, allowing her to be a little more agile.

Ketsurui has no set costume thank you. She changes clothes like a normal person. [! Imagine!] Ketsurui wears different kinds of outfits, but usually they will be in a combination of black and maroon. The only things that are kept constant in her outfit is her clay black pendant ocarina which hangs around her neck, a butterfly engraving in the middle, a maroon hair band that keeps her long hair back, and her black katana which has engravings of butterflies that run the length of the sheath and even the blade itself. When she does wear her RAIN hitiate, it is around her neck.

Ketsurui

History: Ketsurui grew up in the Rain. She was a normal child, yet one that seemed to shy away from the rest. She wanted a friend, and then again, was too afraid to actually reach out and get to know someone. She did do that once, but things didn't turn out too well with that friend, and after a quarrel, they grew apart. So, seeing that Ketsurui had only cared, or dared shall we say, to make one friend, she was left to herself. And perhaps lying in oneself isn't the best of things, because on occasion, she would snap, losing all links with reality. Usually the next day she would be her normal self again, and sometimes she wouldn't even seem to remember what had happened at all. Eventually, Ketsurui graduated from the academy, passed the Chuunin exams on the second try, and became a Jounin after even more training. Now, she is a Jounin.

Trademark: Ketsurui's trademark lies within the pendant ocarina that hangs around her neck all the time. She 'threads' her chakra into the music she plays, and due to the fact that there are unlimited amounts of melodies that can be played, there are unlimited things that she can do with it. She does though have to work at a song first to create a jutsu with it, so it is not as easy as one would think. One hand seal is usually used before she actually uses her ocarina for battle- which is tori, or bird. She is very in-tune with every sound around her, not just by hearing it, but she can also sense the vibrations too. Her entire life has been dedicated to this trademark and her fighting style.

Plus, the Akatsuki, even their name, makes it pretty obvious that they want to dominate & rule the world, not 'save' it like Sasuke's trying to spread around. xD
