Are there any event items or currency here?

There are Event Items, you can go to Shops, and click the shop on the right. That's the event shop. You can use gold, or you can click either one of the three ladies on the Celes Paradi Event page. Try all three of them, and you can get a token.

Earning gold here is rather very hard, but I am willing to get used to it ^^

Those are acctually the common items made cheaper for the event. The currenct for the event items is stars. You earn those by posting. You can then feed them to the sphinx guy once you figure out the place told in the riddle, which can be found in the event FAQ.
