Has anyone here been rock climbing?
It looks so fun and slightly dangerous at the same time...but I would love to try it someday!

I tried rock climbing with friends and I just had a panic attack and had to stop, it was really depressing. I was so keen for it but my body was just like NOPE!

I've done it on a rock wall a few times. I definitely don't have the upper body strength for it, but it's pretty fun.

I've done a bit of both rock climbing and bouldering (a good alternative for people who aren't the biggest fans of height). I kind of fell out of it because I haven't had the time or place to really practice, but I really want to get back into it now that my upper body strength has improved.

What is Bouldering? Sounds like pushing boulders or something.

It's rock climbing on smaller formations done without a harness or ropes.

Oh so like when you go hiking and there are people sitting on the rocks?

Yeah it could be that. I'd probably be one of those people up there too because every time I'm out in nature and I come across a rock formation I'm just like "I'm gonna climb that."

Yup... every single time. Even the ones nobody else could get onto. I would find a way even if that required running at it full speed from uphill and running up the side (Done that a few times)

You sound like you'd be my type of hiking buddy. Although maybe that'd be a bad thing... I need someone to tell me no sometimes.

I do have limits though. I wont do anything where the fall height is fatal

I used to love rock climbing ... when I was in middle school, about 12 years ago xD

I'd love to get back into it, though. I always climbed in gyms.
